looks very low in that engine bay especially as its an OHC engine, is it quite short compared to LR engines? seems the LR TDI engines are very tall!

got to be binding on the dowels or something is caught, I do remember the NG 9-3 turbo convertible being fairly tightly packed around the box but I've only done the one NG clutch so not sure what it could be.

standard tyre was a 185 55, so may well be worth tracking some down as they will fit in the arch a bit better, but even then the 15" wheel and tyre is a it big for the non gti/rallye cut away arches.

plenty of manufacturers bolt the box to the sump as well as the block, a big lump of ally attached to iron with 30 odd M6 capscrews is going to be pretty damn stiff so adding an M10 or 3 in the end wont hurt it.
until your apprentice is an idiot and doesn't remove one of them when trying to lever the box off the rusty dowels.

you don't need any of the regulator and its associated wiring, all you need is a small wire from the alternator to the light on the dash, regulator is part of the alternator, the big wire goes to the starter and alternator and off to battery positive.

For (B)IVA You would need to fit cats etc. to the engine for emissions if this legislation gets through. So you simply fit a more modern lump - more power, efficiency, cheaper etc. - job done. With this legislation we still retain the right to build our own cars etc. All this asks at this time is that we move with the times a little and use more environmentally acceptable emissions wise power power units. Sounds exactly like the situation California has been in for some time now, hence the E-Rod programme from GM, crate LS/LT engines with all the emissions stuff attached a suitable ecu tune and all, anything from 430 to 556 bhp.

best bet is to look up your local authority, each area will have different rules and processes, may also be an idea to check the deeds of the house in case there's anything in there too.

Unfortunately there are very few BX's in general, the 16v variants have succumb to being engine donors and the rest are just old tired and usually rusty!

Chris Knott did a mirrored NCB policy on my ZX, its rather modified, and its a ZX, so no chance of a classic policy.
