Slow progress might be annoying, but it is one of the great constants in these kind of things. Personally I do hate it, but I'd rather something be done right than fast and patchy, and the guys there seem to be worth the extra time. Really looking forward to the next steps and the test drive report

Got to love that generation of Corvettes, they just look so right. Great collection, can't wait to read all about it - and don't worry, we do enjoy fiddling with details here, not just endless restoration projects

Glad to see SWMBO was kind enough to let you return from exile in Japan after such a short period of time

That sucks.
Don't know if there is much you can do - probably nothing as far as actually getting the car, but you can file a complaint with eBay that will sully his reputation or maybe even get him banned.
On the other hand, he'll probably be able to make a new account, but at least you will help him realize he can't be a total foxhead without repercussions

That is a fine looking buggy Wheels remind me of the ones grenade had on the hemi van, but chromed. Could be wrong though.

Those are great cars, fiddly, but great. Amazed that you actually found the 'abandoned' one with so few km's in it. They did have the tendency to go wrong, but finding one that has stood for so long and not being scrapped... guess it was meant to be, waiting to bring new life to the interior of yours Did you do the painting yourself? Bookmarked, don't keep us waiting for the next update - we appreciate even the smallest things!

I'll second the Pig hood ornament idea - obviously Bookmarked and waiting for all the fun to begin!

Safe in the knowledge that my SWMBO doesn't read this forum, I have to admit I would probably follow the same route

I almost pressed 'like' for you sharing the information, but decided to do it the old fashioned way - especially since I wasn't really thrilled with the changes.
Good to see that fire damaged vehicles now have their own marker, so that the buyer will know what to look for. Renaming categories C & D seems like one of those 'Ode to the Gods of Bureaucracy' that will simply make matters a bit more confusing for new buyers.
The one that I am most intrigued by though, is category X. Will that marker be applied to every car that gets a simple scrape at some point of its life, so as to look inferior in the buyers eyes?
P.S. Thanks for finding this

Thanks to HotWire, images from PhotoSuckit show properly on Macs and PC's, but unfortunately not on mobile phones - yet

The car looked great in the pic up pictures, but the mechanical work you've put so far really inspires. Bookmarked, can't wait to see it finished and driven properly

Looks like a very tidy example Will follow the auction, but unfortunately for me and fortunately for you it seems like it will go way above my meager budget Good luck with the sale!

I think keeping them in their own thematic section makes it way easier for people to actually find the info they are looking for, instead of just getting lost searching through different sections and maybe even giving up, all while the answers are indeed there - just difficult to find.
Full disclosure: Although I do love searching through specific categories for things I might have missed, and there are a lot of those, first thing I do is to check recent threads.

Little things like the gear knob might not seem like they are moving the game along, but truth is they do. Anything that helps you visualize where you want to go with the project gives you incentive, and strength to deal with the more mundane but necessary tasks.
Front boot looks really clean!
