I don't especially like the idea of 6 extensions that long. Would take a lot of bracing with the forces going through the steering column. I'd do it like this. It does away with the collapsable section (if yours has that) but there's nothing to stop you incorpating it in. If I was, I'd put it at the top the extension rather than the bottom.

Dehydration gives you hangovers, glycerine adds body and mouth feel to a wine. Personally I don't use it (because I'm currently in a traveller cheap brewing phase!) but I'll try it one day It also adds hangovers to the mouthfeel. For example. If you have three pints of beer without Glycerine in, you may get a slight hangover. Take those three same beers, but with Glycerine, and you'll get a worse hangover. www.livestrong.com/article/243756-about-glycerin/Sure sounds like a hangover to me That's interesting. I'd not read into that side of things. I'll have a look into what sort of quantities are required for hangover enhancement. I have a feeling that at 1 tsp/gallon it wouldn't have much effect. 5ml/6 bottles is about 0.8ml per bottle, or about 0.13ml per (standard ickle pub) glass. And that's assuming that it all stays in suspension and doesn't sit at the bottom and get left in the racking process. It's an optional ingredient, either way

I've used Evo-Stick Hard & Fast Metal Epoxy Putty to rebuild a fair sized chunk of the thermostat housing on my Fiesta and have also used it to seal the top hose outlet on the Volvo's radiator. It needs to be properly worked into whatever it is you want to seal and it does need to go onto a clean surface but it has lasted about 18 months so far on the fiesta (driven 60 miles a day at the moment)

Ben-Seventy-One-Twelve-Hundred I answer to most things Ben+number combinations. 90210 seems most popular. I have no affiliation with the TV show or anyone living in the affluent zipcode to which it relates ;D Thinking back.. I had a 1999/2000 GT Dyno with lots of chrome, one piece cranks with a clicky bottom bracket that was absurdly high geared compared to most current BMXs, that silly kinked seatpost that meant you couldn't lower the seat enough and it weighed enough to give you a hernia. I loved it though. That was reduced to second bike status when I bought a 2001 Trek Bruiser 1. I later bought a Planet X BMX frame directly from Planet X, but on an ebay stock clearance for about £60 and simply built all of the GT stuff onto it, reasoning that I'd upgrade as stuff broke. Nothing ever did ;D

I'm sure I've clamped done this by clamping the flats in a bench vice and using the whole frame for leverage before

I've always had a soft spot for this car. I'm really happy that it will now go in the right direction at an accelated rate It definitely has a good flywheel and clutch. I know this and drank champagne with Alan upon purchasing said flywheel ;D

Chemodex PenolUsed so regularly, and under the above mentioned phallic slang at Area 52, that nobody even smirks when it is said. It just is its name ;D

decent ad with a 99p start on ebay has got to be better than scrapping it. It's still got MOT so shouldn't be too hard to shift that way

Foxy. That'd be legendary. I've looked on more than one occasion and can almost get to the point of justifying purchase price, but after that, 15mpg, masses of rust and filler and parts prices have given me the fear.
Mark. Get the thread up! ;D

I reckon you're thinking of the 4 pot from a Saab 9000. My knowledge is poor.. But they come in 2.0 and 2.3 flavours. 2.0s apparently rev better but the 2.3 will make a bit more power. They are supposedly good for 400bhp on standard internals. Later ones (post '93ish) will bolt up to GM gearboxes. Please note the number of 'supposedly' and 'apparently' and 'ish' used in this post Mark: It's going in a Mk1 Astra so a redblock probably won't be much use since they are generally only used in RWD applications

Think this bit does Dan... (2) Every exhaust system and silencer shall be maintained in good and efficient working order and shall not be altered so as to increase the noise made by the escape of exhaust gases. Under Construction & Use most stuff could be considered illegal if you get a copper having a bad day. It could, of course be interpreted in such a way that if you replaced the entire system, it would be the condition of the complete system you have fitted that must be maintained. Most legislation is open in interpretation but it's not a point I'd want to try to argue

For WOW I'd kill the yeast with campden and potassium sorbate and use sugar. If you want fizzy cider, then you'll need to backsweeten with sweetener (splenda etc.) when bottling, if you want it flat, then use the same method as WOW
