braaap is quite right. It will settle a bit but probably not that much. All the springs where sacrifices to the Gods of Lows (tm) when I was trying to fine tune the ride height on my 56 PU - the coils are slightly 'lighter' but only time will tell. In other news Grizz's new toy is a lot better in the flesh than he makes out in his posts. Good job it is not a project as I think this will morph into the new Prozac over the coming months. Onwards! A pity it got too dark to finish it completely and get a drive in but the rest of it is easy stuff. Looking forward to seeing the daylight picture at the new altitude.... And as for my picture, good job it is Halloween, think I can make a few extra £££££ at one of the haunted mansions..... Onwards!!!!! P.

I have driven that road many times as we used to holiday at Watergate Bay before it became eye wateringly expensive! Impressive run. P.

If they wont go in the other way to do it is to take the lower arm off where it bolts onto the crossmember, secure the coil to the lower arm with some wire, use some threaded rod and put it into the mounting holes on the crossmember and then jack the control arm back into position using the long threaded rod as a guide. When it mates up to the crossmember put the bolts in the holes that don't have the threaded bar in secure the spindle to the lower control arm and BOOOOM its all in and relatively safely. Or you can just jack it into place.... Looking forward to seeing the efforts over the weekend. P.

Funny enough I sw that last night and went so far as to register as for €60 for that and another €60 for a huge Milwaukee kit thought it was worth a punt especially of I could pay with PayPal.... Wrong! They want all your credit card details so that is a no from me! You know that old adage.... P.

Looking good Grizz. I am still suffering with terminal man flu or else I would have offered to help instal at the weekend - I do have some spring clamps if you need them? As with everything you buy on the internet I bought them as WS6 springs which probably means they are off a 6 cylinder Camero... Lop one coil off before you fit them. P.

Just buy it. Worth more than that in parts and more importantly will bring a smile to your face and lighten your heart. I would buy it if I had the cash. P.

I'm going to guess that there is a very small market for that lot of that well used machinery equipment and that most of it will end up has scrap ? Think it will all be going out to India so they can send their lovely steel back to us. We're already buying it in from a company called Reform Tools in Calcutta via Sheffield Gauge Plate. It's a shame as they're decent machines that can still do the job despite some being 60+ years old. If you could get one of the lathes into the back of your car I am sure I can find a new home for it.... P.

Sorry I guys, I´m puzzled here: what does that phrase mean? grizz, I sent a pm to chandlergti, let´s see what happens. Really turning on the charm to get away with something. So basically with Dennis laying the ground work with the British Tourist bit, they managed to get away without a fine by basically appealing to the Policeman’s sense of Patriotism.. It’s a Spinal Tap reference...... P. : D

One can only imagine how 'Bad Ass' you would have been driving this. Only one seat as you wouldn't want to have to choose which of the Laydeezzzzeee you would be taking home with you for afternoon tea and crumpet... P.
