I like them, and I quite fancy one. But for me it would need to be in better shape. Mainly because it would take me forever and a day to get this done, even if I got it done at all. However, if it was cheap enough, then yep, I'd have it! Having said all that, as much as I like the Chevy Blazer, I always preferred the Dodge Ramcharger.

If I had space and time and money for it then yes. If I had money and space then still maybe yes. If it has a proper chassis and it's sound then just jet wash it an pump the tyres up and away you go.
Why? Well, why not? Just rumbling up to work on Monday morning and parking among the rep mobiles ought be reason enough.
Edit- is that a removable hard top? Then that is reason enough I think. Just imagine bouncing about on massive super swampers all summer.

If I could be convinced that it was not rotten as hell, and just cosmetically and mechanically knackered, the yes, probably. I want an auto next anyway...

A mate's dad has something similar, a 1990 pickup. It's been sat in his barn for a decade or more. And I can see from a mile away, that it's rotten. If you can see the rust on the outside, you can guarantee underneath is ruined. Shame as SBC!

Do you have any idea what kind of condition the frame is in? I know these are famous last words, but it doesn't seem that rotten to me, just dirty. Pretty much all of the body components are available from places like LMC Truck, so parts availability isn't much of a concern.
Also, is that a 2wd Blazer? Most of them were 4wd.

While my natural bias leads me towards the Ford Bronco as first preference for this type of vehicle I would be sorely tempted if it was close by and cheap enough.

To me the best part of it is the dirtina - which most others here would rather see gone.

Well, it passed its last MOT with no corrosion issues, and in fact the MOT is still current, so presumably it has suffered a major mechanical disaster.

Thank you for all the replies guys. Agreed, rough and all that. I guess one needs to look at what it is, for what they want (not cheap, like a used 10 year old Kia Rio or VW Polo) but probably less than one could land the same car for here on my drive. It may be here in the U.K., so you can say import costs are not relevant, but they are to me as one knows that regardless, you still have to find another first to compare prices. Not as many around as 10 year old dailies or for that matter 40 year olds. I think that looking at the advisories on its last MOT test, which by the way was the first in 11 years. Yes, it was parked there for 11 years growing fungus and moss on its glass fibre rear half. Waiting for insurance company guys to open up so I can speak with a human. Let’s see what transpires

Personally I don't need it, it's too wide for my drive so I've nowhere to park it, I already have too many cars, I don't have the cash to spare, I don't have the skills to weld it up, I can't afford to run it, it doesn't have 4 seats and it simply isn't practical.
So, following that rational review my decision would be.......
Hell yeah, get it bought, get it home and worry about everything else later!!

Currently driving a '68 Karmann Ghia as my daily. Don't ask about previous cars - there have been way too many and I stopped counting at 160!

So has it moved since that photo? That looks like it hadn't moved in a long time! Loooonger story. I took that photo in June 2016 when I saw it there while looking at a house with Nicola before she left. I loved it then, but never went back, when I did it was gone. Seller who has it now has been playing with it with his dad (seller is 50+) the last year or so, but had made its MOT test last year and is a driver. It certainly is a 40 year old, but in the back of my head it could still be a donor for a body swap. All the “Dirtina” as Braaap said, is gone. Paint is flat and ugly, rust repairs suck, and at least one hole in the floor (which can be welded up again......

I have loads of space to park it.
I am selling Prozac, so need a car.
I have cash to spare, banks are not making it worth my while.
I have a new welder.
I can’t afford to run it, or maybe I can.......
It has four seats, technically 5
The rear converts to flatbed truck, tailgate drops, rear roof comes off.Where do I deliver it???
