Morning all, So Woodys progress is still fairly glacial but there is progress. Like a lot of us with long term builds (however unintentional) there come a point where you want to make it all 'pretty' but at the same time you just want to get it finished. That is the stage I am at with the engine wiring. I 'Should' just screw the ECM to the radiator support and be done with it - ascetically the issue is that the plastic sheath the wiring resides in is bloody horrible... So, I am searching for inspiration of what others have used to at least make it look OK. On the other hand I might continue de pinning the loom to split off the fuse box and TAC module so that I can fit the ECM under the dash.... Have a picture of what I am working with.... Over too you.... P.

I would say the Landy is more saleable than the 6 wheeler so a part ex might be welcome! P.

That looks to nice to use as a truck now! The Dynomat alternative that I used is KillMat. One box did the interior on Woody, very impressed and pretty low cost. £70 from Amazon. Lovely. P.

My old one packed up a few weeks ago so went out and purchased this. www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0B5GM885M?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_detailsSo far I have used it to help with the construction of the loom within Woody, works well, came with a number of tips - nice. The only thing is that it is a 'work station' rather than a standalone iron but other than that, recommended. P.

Actually don't know what these are called so here are some pictures. I bought what I 'thought' they were but, either I got it wrong or they were shipped incorrectly, so no need to find something close enough here in the UK. What is it? It goes between the inner wings and the firewall and is stopping me put the front end back on Woody - Yes I do still have my truck and there has been a lot of progress.... but its not done yet..... Thanks, P.

Thanks Adam but at that price I could buy a set of 17" wheels and tyres! Good find on the Cooper Cobras as I have this on the rear. P.

If I wanted Van tyres...not a problem, but, trying to find a good quality tyre in this size seems nearly impossible! As this was a standard fitment on XJ Jaaaaaaagggssssss - Pirelli P4000, is there a source for a replacement size out there? My GoogleFu is obviously weak as not found any as yet, if you can point me in the right direction would appreciate it. P.

Have been going to the revival since its inception, its a great event and, if your first time and traveling such a distance, go for the 3 days. Your car will fit in fine, it is not all Ferrari's Bently's and Rollers! There is a huge cross section of cars in attendance and everyone is very approachable. Having said that look at the Members Meet in April. This is, in my opinion, the best of the Goodwood events, less flash, more enthusiast focused and is more about the racing and cars than the see and be seen of the revival. What ever you choose you will enjoy it. P.

I find myself in the market to buy a small amount of Deutsch connectors and have got completely 'rabbit holed'. eBay and Amazon are awash with these weather proof connectors but the reviews are...mixed... to say the least. Don't really want to be spending hundreds of pounds on a kit so what have you done/purchased/cobbled together to create weather proof automotive connectors? Let me know as nearing the end of my rewire and have to make connections for the fans, fuel pump and a couple of other 'things'. Look forward to your comments. P.

ARP make some small headed bolts to use on headers - part number 100-111 is one I have used in the past as is the #3 BFH... Have shed time on Sunday so will have a look for you. P.

Think I might have 1 in the shed, will look at the weekend. Any reason not to use headers? Once you factor in the price of the shipping you are going to be pretty close in cost. P.

I think you have to resign yourself to the fact that this will require the proper testing after/before build as you will run out of points pretty early on. But, why not just build it to the right standard and settle for a q plate? blackpopracing did it, and it is well documented. The bug bear of glass will not apply as you can fit a later screen if it doesn't have the correct markings and 2CV's were built up until the 90's so a lot of the parts you would need can probably be robbed from a more modern donor snail. Do some research, speak to Kev on the NSRA or RodsnSods site as well as our own Mr Pop and come up with a plan. Think it is doable and more important doable correctly. Have you bought it yet? P.

I got £275 for the really nice one owner 65K Miles Corsa that was sat on my drive for a year from the scrap guys. I advertised it on her for £100 and got knocked on the price as there was a dent on the cill.... Weigh it in. P.

Quick update. Used a cheap brush and a tin of airfix white paint, dabbed it on, left overnight and then wiped the excess off with a bit of thinners on a rag. Not perfect but looks good enough for the internet…. Pic as promised - the light makes the paint look funny but, as I said, good enough for me! P.

Sounds like an option! Plastic is 57 years old and very thick and from an initial ‘scratch’ is quite resistant to marking. And, if it all goes wrong, a new one is $15….. P.
