I was going to ask that a while ago, but did some google searching instead. As far as I can glean, they are identical - it was sold as the T25 in the UK, and the T3 everywhere else. I could be wrong though. I will no doubt be corrected, but T3 refers to it being the third transporter (T1=Split, T2=Bay etc.) and T25 refers to one of VWs actual model numbers but is used incorrectly used by most in the UK to cover all 1980-1990 VW Transporters.

What gearbox did the westfield in PPC use with the VAG TDi? The Dutch Type 9 adaptor kit I mentioned above I think

Not that I'm aware of. There are definitely adaptors available in the states and Europe though. There's a Dutch firm that produces them for Type 9s

Yep, in the dry I doubt you'll notice a difference, in the wet the tyres will be actively channeling the water to their centers, meaning they'll be trying their hardest to aquaplane. GR9 4 Skidding. Just what Speedy wants ;D

It took me a couple minutes of arguing with myself trying to recall if one of the cars above was one that I had owned or not. I feel like that self argument has moved me up a level in car ownership terms ;D I love a nice set of bandeds, me

I wasn't exactly on top form at all over weekend and had the baby with me on Sunday but it was brilliant to get to this. Renewed my enthusiasm a bit for cool old cars Also, I seem to have discovered a liking for pirate metal. I never knew such a thing existed ;D

Thanks Dave. I normally put it on a tray but didn't really think about it. Carpet was fine but it was a crazy initial fermentation. The yeasty trub that was left over after bottling was the nastiest I've had so far from a kit! 2 weeks and 6 days from start to bottle, and I've impatiently opened one just a day later because I'm thirsty . Really happy with it. It's obviously young and not got a head on it because it needs a week or 3 tto condition but I'm chuffed with the flavour. It would be unfair to compare it to a commercial stout at this stage but it should mature into something comparable. I'd love to progress to extract and eventualy AG brewing but I need to do a lot of reading before I start that

What age Punto? A lockset with keys and ECU from a breaker is probably going to be most cost effective way to do it

Yep, it's charged to your insurance company if you have windscreen cover. The carpark people are often quite happy to, ahem, take cash to fix it if you aren't covered I paid £20 cash last time I did it

However, if you do buy a budget one avoid the temptation to use a good one (be it at a friend's or whatever) for as long as possible - you'll find it hard to resist upgrading once you know what a good welder's like. If you find yourself looking for something better, Portamig make excellent welders. I laughed out loud at this. Bruce has a lot to answer for. I forgot INSTANTLY that my Portamig cost £600 I couldn't afford when I first used it though. My vote for lower budget has to go to to Clarke. I've had poor experiences with SIP and Sealey's budget brand 'Siegen'

I think your only real problem is gases entering the cabin in terms of legality, but that would be a Construction and Use issue rather than anything else.

Have you tried TPFT? Fully comp is supposedly often cheaper but I've never been so lucky.. TPFT always comes out cheapest for me when compared to FC or TPO

I'm older than you, but younger than 25 and have had classic, retro or modified cars with all three. Are you with the owners club? Club scheme insurance is often negotiated so that ALL members are able to benefit. Worth looking into and was certainly the case when I had a Herald a 3 or 4 years ago

My newly acquired Kia Pride ticks most of the boxes. It's an old car (regardless of its year of manufacture ), incredibly cheap both new and in current secondhand market, and I achieve 50mpg* from my 1.3 *I recently completed a speed awareness course, and my commute is long with 90% A roads and motorway, so my driving style is pretty relaxed

Should be able to, yeah. I'm not fortunate enough to be familiar with 50s Chevy pickups but they look like normal 7" ones to me. If that's the case, it should be case of searching for mini/defender/mx5 headlamps and picking up a pair from about £25 on ebay.
