Of course the thing other than legality, is how much your light output is actually reduced. Laws are there for a reason, afterall.
Without knowing exactly what headlamp you're doing it to, I think a better (read: safer) solution would be to paint any non-reflector/lens parts black and look at fitting crosshairs to darken it up without actually altering light output.
EDIT: that said, a 6mm ring is unlikely to have a massive effect on the light output of a 7" headlamp

Your picture only covers up the decorative bezel. If that's the case, then no problem at all.
If on the glass, it would depend on whether a tester decided that it reduced light output

I think there could be a market for this but people are lazy and a complete service where a box gets picked up from them and dropped back off a week later will appeal far more than having to arrange it themselves. If it were me, I'd want to set myself apart from traditional firms by having clear and transparent pricelists available online because people are rubbish at using phones- the number times I've advertised stuff and said CALL me and got text messages or PMs/Emails because they're too sheepish to pick up a chuffing phone I'd also want to make it easy for people to send in smaller bits to get done without too much of a penalty for minimum order (you'd be doing batches of various customers' stuff at the same time anyway, so minimum order value would be less of a concern). Good luck. It sounds like you've got a strong idea to me

Do you happen to own a dehumidifier you can put in the same room to help things along? It'll still take absolutely ages, mind.

The Enfield uses a lot of Brit car parts bin items from the '70s (Marina interior door handles, Reliant rear axle etc). Does anyone have some good (cheap) Hillman Imp rear lights? Searching their Lucas designation may help you find them cheaper? They're Lucas L691 EDIT- Or L692. I think 691 is single filament and 692 twin filament but that is an assumption from about 20 seconds of Googling

Just one more thing from me..
Be incredibly careful what you sign on behalf of the company as a contract (for a credit account, for example) can strip away any limited liability you have as a director. My job essentially comes down to suing people on behalf of my employer when they default on payment and a large proportion of that is using personal guarantees. If my company successfully get a CCJ against you individually I can instruct for it to be enforced by bailiffs, by doing a charging order against your house, or ultimately, bankruptcy. All for a debt incurred by the company you're a director of that you may not have even been aware of.
I'm actually quite nice outside of work.

I don't think there's a legal solution to that situation unless you delay the handover of the car to be able to sort it with an open post office.

What have you been ripped off on previously? Labour isn't cheap so even a simple job can end up eye wateringly expensive. Half a day's labour at the independent garage I use is near £200 (£40/hour + VAT) I personally would put it in for its MOT and see what you come back with before worrying. Service bits should be no problem as it looks like it probably has the same engine that was used in Terranos etc. Searching specifically for Homy parts may draw a blank as they were never sold here as far as I know, but since you know it's an E24 series, you will hopefully be able to search by some other names. Wikipedia says it was sold as an Urvan as well as Homy.

Excellent. Bookmarked! I was thinking of all the 'softroader' things and diddy 4X4s too. It looks like a perfect starting point for it. I think it will need a bit more of a lift or some careful wheel/tyre choice to acheive the look properly though

It's whatever the German for 'insertion depth' is I think. Edit- Google tells me that is 'einsteckteife', which tallies up with ET
Offset minus width of spacer is your new offset (or ET, if you prefer), because the spacer brings the mounting face 15mm closer to the centre of the wheel That's badly worded and doesn't take into account negative ET. ..because the spacer brings the mounting face further back.
Eg. You have a wheel which is ET38, and a 15mm spacer, your effective ET would be 23.

I'd say sit down and have a good talk with your boss is the first thing to do. What about the other directors - it's rare to just have one. Do the other directors feel the same as your boss. Paul H I'd agree with this. Also, I think you need to take a look at the different business/entity types so that when asking for advice or speaking to a solicitor, you aren't led astray by using an incorrect term- You used the words 'firm', 'partner' and 'company', which could be a bit misleading. Although you've established that we are talking about a limited company, it's worth reading and understanding the differences between at least sole traders, unincorporated partnerships, LLPs and limited companies to get an idea of where it would put you in terms of responsibilities and legal obligations. I have a feeling that it isn't going to be as simple as you think but could be a great opportunity

Someone told me this method a while back. I'm not 100% sure i'd try it myself, but thought I'd put it out there! Loosen the other wheelnuts a little and drive backwards and forwards and that should free them off. Guess you'd want to do one wheel at a time. I see a number of issues with this. 1. it might wreck your wheels, 2 it might wreck your nuts, 3. the wheel might fall off 4. it might not work! Anyway, just a thought.... The other school of thought is to tighten all the other nuts up more to minimise the amount of tension on your stuck one.

Can you weld a strip however much taller you need it to be around both the edge of the hole on both the inner and outer skins, and then reattach the pieces you cut out atop the strips? Possibly massively over simplistic, but without knowing how the shifter mounts or where the cables need to run..
