Props to you for doing something with one of these. Needs one of those clip-on 70's red cop lights at the top of the NSF A-post, and a few donut cartons scattered randomly on the back seat. And a stash of lollipops. ;D Who loves ya, baby?

Gutted I didn't get there today...we were home by lunchtime, but was knackered. Great to see the pics and know the meeting went off well.

My wife had a 1700 Puma a decade or so ago, was by FAR the best car she's ever owned. I can't add anything to the superlatives already used by other owners, other than the fact that it still remains the only car in which I made my brother-in-law (who's a dyed-in-the-wool Subaru fanatic) scream like a piggy. All six foot three of him. ;D

Admission (pay on the gate) is £13, under-14's £6. Meeting starts at 1:30pm, but it's worth getting there a couple of hours before to have a good look around the paddock area, a nose round the trade stands and the cars on display around the perimiter of the arena. Might I suggest meeting at The Hollies at around 9:30am for a leisurely breakfast, then leave at about 11 to drive the five miles or so to Hednesford? This may well all be academic for me, as I have a family party to go to in Sussex the day before and it looks like we're staying over.....which means I'll probably be conspicuous by my absence. I'm trying to convince SWMBO that it'd be much better to have Sunday at home, but at present it's not looking likely!

Dammit that's nice. I've had a '74 Series 3 APGP in the past as well as a '65 Ex-WD FFR (Fitted For Radio) SWB 2A. Front panel would have originally looked like this: '69-'71 2A's all had this arrangment, the headlights had been moved out into the wings on export-spec 2A's in 1967. My favourite front end. Looking forward to seeing this in the flesh. Though don't let me loose in it or I'll want another.......

Or we could just be happy he survived and really hope he learns from it and doesn't risk his or anyone else's well being again? Things happen in life that makes you realise as much as we love cars they are not as precious as people What he said. And 20 years ago a Capri was just another mass-produced disposable heap of sh**e, in 10 years' time people will be coveting Saxos and 106s in the same way some people worship at the altar of the Blue Oval now. Plus ca change, etc etc..... The important thing is your mate's still alive to tell the tale.

Stop this at once. I'm trying to decide what to have next, and this isn't helping.

Have posted it on MB Club UK. You never know your luck.
Back suspension will be the killer, the spheres for these are not cheap like Citroen ones. You could probably whip the cat/alloys off, cash the tax in, send the rest over the bridge and make almost that much on it to be honest.

Unless that's had a replacement dash in it, that's a post-73 car with a tax exempt logbook. Avoid.

I had a job interview straight after my test, I drove my aunt's T-reg (then only about five years old...)1300 Marina estate to the interview...and got the job on the spot.
It was a good day. :-)

You do like taking pictures of old men in check shirts don't you Brian. Seems a sortage of brown crimplene trousers this year I know, I bought some especially too. And some of those trainers with the Velcro straps. ;D
