There’s definite advantages to getting the car out of the garage. To be able to stand back and look at it and do those things like offer up new wheels. It helps the mojo no end Can’t help with car cover. I’m using a cheap Halfords one on my Daimler to keep the worst of the grinding dust and bird poo off the Daimler, which it’s doing just fine. It’s definitely not water proof though…

Haven't seen one of these before. Pretty cool looking! In regards to a car cover, if it wasn't for the fact that they're designed to keep humidity in, I'd suggest a plastic garden greenhouse. Wheels were a good buy, that will look rather tasty. In regards to your roof, I think it would look good if you painted/wrapped the tailgate and roof in fresh black. Or, if you're feeling extra adventurous, it would look pretty cool with a black and red checkered roof. Graffiti or rubber paint would also be an easy option for low prep and easy disguising of the dodgy area.

I've not done much more with this in the last few months. I'd like to use it rather than just stare at it on the drive (or get it working and let someone else enjoy it). My mojo for working on cars has disappeared since I got healthy enough to ride my bike again, so I think I need to find someone I can pay to sort it out - is this an auto-electrician job, a regular garage job, or one of those classics/resto garages one? I'm aware the car's not worth a huge amount, but I bet someone who knows what they are doing can sort it out in a day or 2 and being able to actually drive it would be worth it. In retrospect, taking the dash out was a stupid idea and I wish I'd just left it in place and reinforced it where it was (or tried to source a good one from the continent).

I've had "the conversation" with my wife about having this on the driveway, and I'm gonna be putting it up for sale once I've got it clean and taken some decent photos. Hopefully someone can just stick it all back together and get it back on the road soon. Given it doesn't work at the moment, I think it'll be a bargain for anyone competent. So anyone who comes across this and wants to get in touch before I sort the advert out, feel free.

Could you not squeeze it back in the garage for winter and she'll forget about it? Nah, cool car but the mojo thing can be a drain

It might fit into the garage with a squeeze, but then the garage becomes unusable for anything else, and I want to use it for stuff. No point in keeping it around and not touch it. Gonna be washed and photographed tomorrow...

It's gone to a new home. Hopefully it will find it's way back to Belgium and do many km there. I think I'm cured of the old car disease (at least from wanting one).
