Has anybody noticed how ebay no-longer gives out/passes on the tracking
numbers given by the courier/post office! They haver their own option which
lags behind behind with the details and display etc
Here are the details of the spring seats I bought for the rear struts, they
heading in the opposite direction!!!!!!!!
Then there is this new charge which is showing on anything I want to buy
from the uSA. instead of expecting to pay any import taxes on the UK side
I'm getting charged for them on the USA side!
If the delivery address etc is done correctly I shouldn't have to pay import
tax as the customs office look at the item value and the delivery cost
separately and not as a whole.
2 X Spring isolators(spring seats)= $25.36 which works out at £16.24
If I recall correctly the allowance before duty/tax is applied is £18
So I have had "Import charges: US $12.84" applied how many others has
this happened to and IF this charge is not going to BRITISH customs for the
item and I get charged again, what can I do about??
Okay back on topic!
I was in no state last night after putting the rear suspension fully back on
the car. Nothing went right for me putting it back together!!
Sewells gave me a good quote on some new springs but I will have to wait
a few weeks as I have a serious lack of funds at the moment.
The front wheel had to come off so I could get better access to wiring in
that area of the car behind the front right wheel. The power steering sensor
and the abs for the front right wheel were reconnected, but I can't find the
socket for the downstream lambda sensor.
This means I haven't got the wiring or I made the wiring and it's snagged
further up in the engine bay!! There is a few damaged connectors on the
front for indicators and fog-lights etc (lets just say dad and leave it at that!)
It may come down to having to strip out the wiring looms and start again
with the few problem areas of the wiring it may be the simplest option
The front brake discs are in need of being redressed so that they can move
freely without having to fit new discs and pads. I am not going to buy new
discs and pads when the old girl could be stood for a period of time and they
too and up in the state of the current discs and pads. Not only would that
be UN-environmentally friendly it would be a serious waste of money(which I
have very little of!!)
Rain stopped play again!!
