I've spent 3 each night trying to get it to download with no luck. Well I have been told the letter is in the post by the housing association. It still has not yet arrived. However I came across a listing on freecycle. It stated "18x18 inch [45cmx45cm] 100+ paving slabs lifted & a further 100+ out the back to go too!". A quick calculation stated 70 full slabs required plus a further 13 half slabs to make it complete. So 3 trips with the trailer. I think I have enough, and yes I know they are not the thick council type which would have been ideal but a further 3 trips if they had them for the same amount. What I could do is [depending on what they have stated I can have] is use these as a temporary top surface, then swap them out over a period of time

Ok quick update. Council & Housing Association have given permission & letters confirming that I can proceed with 1. Raising Fence hight in rear garden. 2. Putting a shed on the patio. (after much wrangling and photographic evidence on my party they backed down & gave me what I wanted) 3. A driveway at the front of the property. The paving slabs in the above photo are now surplus to requirements as I have managed to get some lovely 2 inch thick 2x2 & 3x2 foot slabs. Oh and to make sure the car has a good solid drive to stand on a side project which has cost almost £60 in purchase & parts but can sell on later for a bit more money as bought it cheap! www.practically-classics.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=6680I will be starting on digging out the drive at the weekend. The thought of getting back to the V6 Neon is clawing at my brain and it draws near!

Health Issues and delays with both my landlord & my parents are renovating part of their house.
A car cover and extra straps to hold it down was fitted as I was expecting a bad winter hitting off the north sea.

I still have Christine. My health took a serious turn over last few months. I thought it was yo-yoing last year. An infection [ NOT COVID ] got into the bone after I had been seriously heavy dosage of antibiotics. 6 weeks ago I went under the knife & saw! Yes you read that right they removed my right leg below the knee!!!! 3 months for the wound from surgery to heal. Then I get referred for limb rehab which could be 3-6 months plus before they even consider refering me for a prosthetic I might be looking into having the rear drivers side door having a suicide conversion.

Sorry to hear your news; I hope that things look up for you over the coming months. Great that you've still got your car to channel your efforts into.

I'm looking into options. and one is having the rear drivers side door having a suicide conversion. Are there any 4 door car owners of similar sized cars to the mk1 Neon who either are wheelchair users or know people who are who've done this? So any info & images on that being done to a 4 door's rear doors please There are various types in the states but none really really for a similar sized car. This is a Chrysler 300c. The the youtube video shows a wheelchair user & his 4door with a suicide door for him to put his wheelchair on the back seat. This particular option appears to have very little cutting of the structure. But I know nothing so please educate me with details, photos & diagrams

I would try taking the back door off and seeing if you can actually get the chair in from the front seat as as starting point, if you can do that it should be feasible to come up with a new hinge and latch arrangement.
Will you need the wheelchair long term? if not a chap at work who was paralysed from the waist down used to have a roof box with an arm that picked up the chair and stowed it in the box.

Next year I will be restarting on the Neon after the past 2 year's fiascos I will be reinstating the Air Conditioning Okay after some questions on varous forums. I asked what the displacement of belt driven AC compressor. This turns out to be 13cc. The spec sheet is copied at the bottom. For control I would use the same relay trigger used by the original Neon wiring setup to switch the signal for low setting of the compressor. With prices prior to the container ship & shipping charges going up and up. And with the cost being lower on Alibaba for the pure 12v DC Powered electric AC Compressor at £250 plus £50 import Tax/Duty. The same product sold by other sellers outside Chine were between 4 & 5 times the price on other sales platforms like ebay. The compressor was ordered & paid for on 31st of October 2021 and arrived today by Fedex The package Control connector Beefy enough supply cables The blow off valve or for high pressure switch? The Compressor, Pipe connectors, Cable Connector Block, Mounting Bracket, Plug kit, Testing switch, The testing switch the company supplied The details www.alibaba.com/product-detail/12v-dc-air-conditioner-compressor-for_1600201941148.html?spm=a2756.order-detail-ta-bn-b.0.0.71cb2fc2Q3kgS7

I've not been sitting idle while over the Christmas & New year period. Managed to get a damn good deal on a brand new Air Con Condenser. They usually go for about £140 but got one for £43 delivered [yes brand new]. It was cheaper buying a Brand New Air Con Dryer from Rockauto from the USA, and paying for import tax on top. The UK sellers wanted more and the Dealers A LOT more. For some reason the stuff for the mk1 neon on rock auto has got extremely cheap f they have them in stock.
Although I was looking into a BMW 180 amp alternator. A chance screw up on a listing meant I manager to get a 160 amp 2005 TDI Voyager Alternator for £20 shipped. The casing is slightly different but wiring isn't. So I will be looking to either alter it or swap the guts out with a spare Neon alternator which is sitting somewhere in the depths of the shed at my parent's. I've been buying up some spares from ebay when the seller screws up the listing giving free Shipping. A set of indicator & windshield wiper stalks. Matching pair of electric wing mirrors. Both airbags. Window switches.
