Laurent is French, presumably. He likes to take pictures of things and luckily for us, some of those things are cars. Our kind of cars at that. Find more here. However, have some snaps to whet you appetite for now... I've never seen photos look so 'French'. That's not a bad thing, mind... There's more in The Garage...basically, this website is worth ten minutes of your day. Chris

A lot of you frequent Speedhunters but for those of you who don't, allow me to introduce you to the workshop that is Hot Rodas and Hobbies. There are garages, gentlemen, and then there are garages. This is firmly the latter. You'll find lots more HEREChris

Seeing as Mr. Bizzle is on fire today I felt I should contribute something decent too. Enter stage-left this collection of forgotten beauties... They may look forgotten, but C&P assures us that their fate has been secured in the most positive of senses - each car is going to be lovingly restored. With so many nice cars being left to rot it really is a treat to see some great machinery receiving some love, although in all honesty I'd happily run the Mustang at the top as-is - phwoar! Chris

And we're on the road! The (Chris Pollitt tenure) maiden voyage went ahead last night, taking in the sights, sounds and undulations of the M5, M4 and M25. There was even a bit of Bracknel too. One word that springs to mind is 'wafty' as this thing just glides along. It's a little annoying that the rear wheels are out of balance but that's a minor niggle. On the whole though she's smooth, quiet and comfier than a buxom lady's bosom. Yup, it's mega. Can't say the same for the fuel 'economy' mind, but that's no big shocker - it's actually a bit better than I thought it would be to be honest. All I need to do now is lower it a bit, buy a couple of bits of trim, give it a damn good clean then just enjoy. Retro German motoring people, it's where it's at!

Might be worth ringing up the people who run the U pull it yards. Pretty big operation and it still manages to run happily. Calls have been made, I'm just looking for your take on it all and any instances of you being subjected to the new aspects of H&S. Chris

Hi folks, I'm currently in the throes of writing a feature about the decline in breakers yards and scrap merchants that will let you retrieve parts yourself, leading onto the evolution of the modern 'racked and stacked' breaker of today. I'm posting here to see if any of you guys know, with certainty, about any of the changes to H&S law over the last few years that would have been applicable to the industry. I've searched the net, but there seems to be a lot of contradicting info out there although I have got a nice selection of info. The main reason for asking on here though, is to gain some 'real world' info and feedback as it's our hobby which is being affected the most. I want to know what you guys think of it or how it's affected you, or of course, what you think of it all. So, if you run a breakers or if you've ever been subjected to the changing H&S laws, let me know. I'd even be happy to quote you directly and give you a mention in the mag as it'll give the article some real-world gusto. Oh, and while we're here, throw up some pictures of scrap Fords too! Cheers, Chris

They're ET38 whereas the car is ET25. I'm running 20mm spacers on the back and 15mm on the front. Though I may go for 30mm on the back and use the 20mm jobbies on the front. Should balance things out once it's on the floor.
As for the rims themselves, they're Mercedes 'Ankaa' rims from an E Class. They come in at 17 x 8.5.
