What would it be? I was inspired after finding out that the Lada 2105 (Riva 1500E) ceased production 30/12/10. However, the 2107 is still being made. That is the Riva 1600i. www.carobka.ru/marks/models/gallery/t191/The last 2105 ever...

No, but it has to be 'acceptable' for this forum ;D Don't really want pictures of Vectras and Mondeos!! Hopefully there'll be some interesting thoughts.

Cheap (for a new car), fun, well equipped, decent fuel economy and a fair amount of room considering its footprint.

I'd have a DMC Texas brand-new Delorean.... Sadly when I had to make this decision for my company car back in November the MD wasn't interested! After mulling over this for weeks since I am not at all interested (even remotely) in new cars, I opted for an A3 TDI Sport in white, which should be delivered in March. Back to sillyness... I'd love one of these when they go into production ('if') Definitely a potential future classic! I love the way it is so sympathetic to the original design and general 80's Audi styling.

The Audi A5 Coupe is definately my favourite new car, something about the shape reminds me of a Mk1 Capri.
Realistically I'd just buy whatever was most economical and practical, modern cars are dull and samey, Bluemotion Passat estate maybe?

Keeping it realistic, and I'm not a Ford man these days: Otherwise it would be something stupid like a Porsche/Lambo/Rangie/BMW M/Big Merc (lotto win permitting)

On the subject of AMG Mercs... I'd take one of these: One drives past me every morning while I'm waiting for the bus. It sounds like rolling thunder. One of the greatest engine/exhaust sounds imaginable.

I'm sorry, but I couldn't be bothered to actually choose something modern. If I had to make the choice for a company car I'd get one of these: ... the most amount of space/practicality powered by proven drivetrains you can get for such small money. No big alloys or small windows, as little electronic helpers as you need (I can switch on the wipers myself, thanks) and more money left over (compared to other repmobiles) to run a retro alongside Which it would only be replacing if the retro wasn't running or the streets were covered with salt in Winter. In short: all moderns are soulless, bland looking applications, so the cheapest and least annoying one you can find is the way to go! - IMHO Ps: Was shocked by the first post, until I read the rest They couldn't have properly stopped making them, really?

all moderns are soulless, bland looking applications I very, very much disagree with you. But this is not the forum in which to discuss it. Just remember, all retros were modern once...
