I bought one earlier this month off Mr Fang and the construction is better than expected but I've yet to use it in anger so can't comment on it's lifting ability. The LEDs are a gimmick and have already been removed, they just punch out. I do like how you can pump it from any angle though which will prove useful in my little garage.

I use an old trick of wrapping a short length of grit paper,60 or 80 grit or whatever comes to hand but coarser the better, around the bolt head and then tapping the socket over it to make a nice tight fit. It also works with mole grips even when the grips on their own just chew up the head.

I've used satin white radiator enamel rattle cans from Wickes and they give a pretty good finish both on radiators and wheels. ;D

I would say they are Dunlops. They made more than one design,I'm not sure of their designation but they're not D1's like on that Lotus. Maybe if someones got an old CCC or Hot Car mag they could find an advert of the full range,I think there were 4 different styles.

I've got an Apollo and sprayed my van with it a couple of times using cellulose and it came out ok. The paint does dry a little quicker due to the warm air created by it though.

These wheels were on my Anglia when I bought it and have been getting in my way ever since. They're 5.5 x 14's and in good condition. Tyres are Firestone,185/55 x 14's, three are good and one's worn on one edge, bad tracking I guess. I'm after £75 and can delivery locally or meet half way within reason or take to Race Retro next month or even Brean Sands. Can also do UPS next day,England and Wales, for £25,other areas please ask. Collection from Brierley Hill in the West Mids is also an option.

I'm going to try and make this. I've always wanted to do a nice long drive down the A38 and the thought of a bacon sarnie and a hot cuppa on the beach for breakfast sounds very appealling with some funky old cars to look at followed by a visit to The Helicopter Museum so I can take loads of pics of their Dragonfly. I wonder how far I'll get before inevitably breaking down? ;D

Cool drive home Violet Vivid. I had this 2A back in '98 and it gave me more grins per miler than any other car I've ever owned, sadly the chassis was riddled with tinworm and it was broken for parts. This was my mate Tony's awesome 2.6ltr straight six engined workhorse.I think 45 was flat out but it could pull down a house if you wanted it to. ;D
