Holy Mackerel Mate, That is a seriously great car for a 15 year old. Ms Grizz's son Tom wants a Cadillac.... But then, what does a 13 year old know ? ;-))
I hope you have a load of good times and learings with your car.

Wow, that looks like a very nice example of an Anglia. Well done for having it as your first car! Should look good slammed on 7 inch revo's!
The Lotus Mk2 in the background looks interesting. That needs a thread too all of it's own!!

That looks in insanely good condition... I'd run with that for sure!!! Nice to see a 15 year old with taste! Car does sound like its going to be amazing when shes done! You'll show up all your mates at the school car park, thats for sure. Lol Grizz, I guess Tom has taste... When I was 15 I used to buy Classic American Car magazine monthly as I really wanted to get a yank for my first motor...

Thanks for the positive comments everyone. Pics are a few years old now but the car still isn't bad. Would benifit from a repaint. Looking forward to getting stuck into it. Will update as I make progress.

That looks really clean! Change the minilites and a better set of tyres and knock a few inches out the height and we're cooking on gas. 2" all round with the 175's and it'll be killer ;D Here's mine, I got it back on the road a few weeks ago: If I can offer an opinion/advice. Keep it simple. That body looks pretty good as it is and I'd leave it as it is. A few years of outside rain etc will polish out and the rusty bits just don't show through on these. I banged about in mine for years with it covered in snot and it looked fine. Take on a massive bodywork project like I did and you might lose heart in it. T-cut is your friend fella

Thanks Jonny. Body isn't too bad but I have 2 years before I can drive it so might as well get it right now so I can enjoy it when I'm driving. Been keeping a close watch on your thread and maximusprime's for inspiration. Love the work that has gone into your's over the past few years and the flip front works well. Looks like our carpets come from the same place. I've been going through 105 Speed as well and just found this: No going back now!!! ;D

Very nice choice for a first car.
The only thing that I would suggest is getting an insurance quote with the cage - I doubt that you'd get covered as a 17 year old with a cage in the car. I don't know why, but insurers seem to think that you're going to do silly things if you have one.

wow! awesome first car and project
plan sounds good but as above - I'd check to see if you can get cover for a caged car first.

That is one sweet looking Anglia. 7 x 13's look much better Personally, I'd leave it as is.... But what do I know? I drive a french sweet tin!!! 2 years down the line I'm thinking this is gonna look even better!! Seen your Dads car before but not sure where. Has it been a feature car in a mag?

You get stuck into that! You'll have a bloody cool first car, but don't go doing any silly engine mods as you wont get insured I had my Polo when i was 15, i was bored of it by the time i was 16 but managed to loan it out (I think that's what nick called it... ) until I could drive!
