Great memories.
How many of these cars are dead now.
How many have moved to new owners
And how many builds are completed.
Thanks for the post and taking the time.

Ace pics, you can see the variety of an RR show was as evident then as it is now 😁

Where did nightmaresracing go? Was FB Victor Estate ever completed?

Fantastic pictures. I never went to the first RR show as I was in the US at the time.

Awesome, thanks for posting! The thing I find funny is due to digital pictures, photo's from 15 years ago could have been taken last week and look the same.

Where did nightmaresracing go? Was FB Victor Estate ever completed? I don't know, I think he deleted his account on here as the one I've linked above was only created in 2019. I hope the Victor still exists/got finished, because it was going to be a beauty.

Awesome pics, they bring back some fond (and some hazy) memories...... Awesome weekend (save for having to rush off unexpectedly on the Sunday for family reasons) The impromptu Campsite BBQ on the Friday night when the agreed upon caterers no-showed... Trying my best to co-ordinate the cars in the queue for the track while sleep deprived and possibly a little hungover on the Saturday having (possibly unwisely) volunteered to help in anyway we could.... Making Tea and Bacon Sandwiches for essential sustenance on the Whale-Tail of my 911 (I mean, what else are the for!) Track action.... The Main Fellas... Early styling goals for the HoTWire Datsun... I think somewhere, I've got Video that Bryn took on my old digital camera as it was deemed the most 'sacrificial' of him chasing the soapbox derby cars down the course on his bike....

Found this on what was the old RR youtube channel before I lost the login and the email address so couldn't recover it. To be fair we expected more entries hahaha

Oh man, that brings back some memories! That was a great weekend! Ditto! Was the first Gaydon show the following year? I think that was the last one that I was able to attend

Great memories. How many of these cars are dead now. How many have moved to new owners And how many builds are completed. Thanks for the post and taking the time. Ok I’ll start (great idea grizz, as always) with the only ones I can tell you something about, the Delorean’s. All 4 of those cars are still with the same owners The one furthest away in the line up has been a kind of rolling resto if you like & was on the owners club stand at the NEC last week The next 2 are owned by a husband & wife, one of which blew its engine & is currently having a rover v8 transplant. The one nearest the camera & pictured by itself is a lovely car owned by very good friends of mine. I bought my own Delorean in 06 & we have been all over the place to many shows in them, both here & Europe. I’ve done quite a few jobs on that car including replacing the brake, clutch & fuel hoses, clutch slave cyl. & other bits. I did a coolant swap on it for him a couple of weeks ago actually. 😀

My 1963 Ford Taunus Transit that I had bought after selling my 1978 Audi 80GLS Estate to coxy on here, and which now resides in a German museum, was sold low to a guy who put an MOT on it and sold it for £2500.00 more a week later. It is now on Rayvern air, and having a V6 fitted, last I heard, with paint in the planning. I replaced that with the C10 which did make it to a later RR’s Gathering with my Teardrop Trailer attached, which is still in pieces, a stalled, divorce restoration, and have had a few other side “Non Projects” and currently have a S10 4.3 V6 which was a 10 year bucket list car.

Wow, lots of memories from the old days. You realise this is like car guys in the 90s talking about car shows in the 70s…

Where did nightmaresracing go? Was FB Victor Estate ever completed? Mark continues to build, play and change cars from time to time. I think the amount of time it takes to update, write and lad forums just got in the way, unlike me, he has kept up with changing times, and is probably on other platforms. A load of builds, paint and mods since then. A few modern builds for himself, his wife and others. His current rid pic won’t upload for some reason. Will try again later. Current build, nearing completion is this Chevette. I have heard it run, and it is a BRUTE in all manner of ways.

Wow, lots of memories from the old days. You realise this is like car guys in the 90s talking about car shows in the 70s… Equally, Practical Classics mag was running restoration stores on '60s cars in the '80s - equivalent to if they featured late '90s stuff now, and also had a 'Practically Classic?' column the early '90s which I recall featuring stuff like the Rover SD1, which had only stopped production less than a decade earlier. In contrast, my current daily 20 year old Peugeot and Mrs H's 16 year old Vauxhall are simply old heaps. Thinking about it further, my Volvo Amazon is pretty much the same age difference from my children as my father's 1937 Riley was from me when he bought it in 1985. All a bit surreal really!
