I would check the dizzy cap & rotor, if they are ok - see if you can borrow a timing light to check the timing is ok (this is a timing light, www.machinemart.co.uk/p/gunson-g4113-timestrobe-xenon-timing-light/ ) thats the first one I found, if you have to buy one, I'm sure you will be able to get something cheaper. If you have a haynes manual, it will show you how to set the timing.

That's fairly normal, my mk5 GTi used to do it really bad in winter as was only used for short journeys. Hg was fine

Timing may need checking with a timing light, can be advanced/retarded by twisting the dizzy I think (someone please correct me on this, long time since I had to do this)

Have you pushed the choke in? Fuel filter changed? Old Fuel Could be a slightly clogged main jet on the carb Could also be fuel pump starting to fail (I had to change mine, it's mechanical, dead easy) Also check for perished fuel lines
It might like you say need a tweak but I have had all those issues on 205's 😂
Edit, just thought. Try pulling choke out when it's warm. If that fixes it the issue is not enough fuel, if it cuts out it's probably over fueling/weak spark.
Also, have you checked timing is ok?

Looks about right, takes a good hot run to shift all the water that builds up. My Mustang actually has holes in the backboxes from the factory to let water out!

They did a diesel 75 that used a bmw engine. Also the 2.0 and 2.5 were OK. I had an e46 with that engine (was only 4 years old) it's one of the worst diesel engines I have driven, rest of the car was great but the engine comepletly ruined it. I think I would go Lexus to be honest. What about a Lexus GS430 if you can find one?

Don't worry, back in 2001 it took me 3 attempts to get the ht leads for my Rallye and I had the parts in my hand in the shop! They were ones that the system said they weren't 🤷🏼♂️
Also the other year with my Volvo, I needed a coolant temperature sensor. ECP system only listed 1, wrong. GSF listed 1 (same part No.) that was correct. Although it needed the plastic connector filing because Chinese.

Yeah the AC's need a tidy, I thought the price was a bit high until I saw a clean set lol.
Sorry didn't notice that on the Jag rims.
Was just thinking mid 90's style wheels to match the era of truck (I know it's a bit newer than that lol)
