Recieved a letter from dvla. They have decided void the registration and identity, so it will have to be reregistered on a Q plate, what this will entail is yet to be explained to me Ttfn Glenn Thats a bummer, have they given a reason for this decision? My caseworker is now on holiday, her replacement said, it's now in the hands of the registration department Now waiting on contact from them. Ttfn Glenn

Today's treasures are autojumble, and I'm super happy! I've been after one of these vintahe pcl air hose reels for quite a while. There are some on ebay, but they are expensive and set up for water. Will need new hose but hopefully that won't be too hard. Nice finds I have a couple of cheapy modern versions of this, find them really useful, also have an electrical version as well Ttfn Glenn

Now being past the one year point thought it might be an idea to chase up dvla again, Decided to try phoning this time, spoke to the caseworker dealing with my case, she informed me the case is now with their policy department, so what that really means, I don't have a clue Ttfn Glenn It means they've got themselves into a hole, and are desperately looking for a way to get out of it! 😀 Otherwise it's the official version of 'application? What application??' and it's gone in the circular file Edit- just reread that, think I got out of bed the wrong side this morning! 😳 Think you did, but no worries things will get less worse Ttfn Glenn

I'd say the fact you got to speak to someone who could actually look up, and find, details on your case existing, and then give you ANY information on what's happening now, even if that was just "It's with another department", is good news. Yup, the grief my wife is going through to get her licence back after surrendering it nearly two years ago for medical reasons is mad! Luckily she doesn't need it for work... Wonder if she said it was an hgv licence, might be back by return post!!!! My son had his motorcycle CBT expire in the middle of lockdown so he has been off the road since Ttfn Glenn

I used to sell this in the 90s as a spark plug repair kit, might still have one? If you do, that would be awesome or failing that, if you could remember the brand would be excellent. Closest I seem to be able to find is a timesert oversized Ttfn Glenn

"You and Paul Y make a formidable spending team." You know you guys are guilty. Probably missed the reason, but why not refurbish the mx5 rear axle and slot that under the chassis? Would give you a fully matched drivetrain, also could the mx5 calipers and master cylinder be used, to give fully compatible brakes. Possibly the mx5 has limited slip diff Ttfn glenn I need to retain the identity of the Rezin Rockit. glenanderson did brilliant lay put of the way one would lose the identity of the car with mods. It was my post of the week/month at the time. So only engine, gearbox. The 8 point rule strikes again Thanks Glenn

Sounds like those are just on/off switches, the oil pressure will open when the pressure rises, turning the light off and the temp will close when too hot turning the light on, if you check the wiring and see if it is positive feed to the bulb, that will confirm it Ttfn Glenn

Further investigation reveals the plain section is part of the broken plug, the insert is just the threaded section. So a coarse tapered thread on the outside with the fine plug thread inside Thanks everyone but the search continues Ttfn Glenn

Just had to shim one upright, will run it for a while then re check everything, don't have anything heavy to test it properly so will need to keep torquing the mounts With lifting equipment don't take chances, if something goes wrong you might not be around to laugh about it Ttfn Glenn
