If chassis rigidity becomes a concern, how about a 6 point roll cage? Provide stiffness to the chassis and body, mounting points for seatbelts, windscreen etc, can also provide additional styling and safety if made bolt in, it doesn't affect your 8 points Happy Christmas Ttfn Glenn

A quick and easy way to test if it is running weak, run it on the stand open throttle wide, when it starts to bog down, squirt some carb cleaner down its throat, If it revs up that will identify your problem as lack of fuel Ttfn Glenn

Couple of ideas for the handbrake, under dash umbrella style, American style pedal and release button or an electric one, no need for anything between the seats then Ttfn Glenn

Not sure if this fits the topic. I believe we are entering an era of blandness, the most common colours seem to be white silver and black, the range of body styles seems to be reducing to crossover or suv, the Germans do seem slightly better with a few estate models but the saloons have been crossed with coupes, making them 4 door There are a few bright spots of design, but mostly seems to be a monochromatic world of similar vehicles all styled by wind tunnel and boasting the number/size of touchscreen fitted Ttfn Glenn

Probably me missing something, why will this need biva? Keeping chassis, engine ,trans axles, suspension and steering, so shouldn't it be just a rebody? Ttfn Glenn

Have you made any more progress with this? A little, found out my buggy and another, were owned by the same chap at one stage, and he used my tax and mot exempt beach buggy registration to ring his other buggy. Mine was tucked away and forgotten about, until the chap died and his buggys were sold Mine with no v5 but intact chassis number. Other buggy with my v5. Still in communication with dvla, but they seem to be moving at a glacial pace. Tried contacting my caseworker, over the last two days, with no luck, will try again tomorrow Ttfn Glenn

Bikes have taken a bit of a backseat lately with Sandra the sandrail getting the love. Finished the brake lines, welded a filler neck onto the fuel tank. Tomorrow I hope to get the brakes bled, front suspension sorted and maybe get further along with the steering Ttfn Glenn

Welded the valve on the steering rack and started bolting it back together, got distracted by lowering the sandrail rear suspension and fitting new flexi brake hoses, ready for the new shoes and cylinders when they arrive Also succumbed to my motorcycle addiction and brought home a brace of gs550 Suzuki's, one of which is a very early one Just about had to shoehorn them in Ttfn Glenn

Very very nice!!! A quick and dirty way to slightly up the power on a basic 2 smoke. Thicker base gasket and lap the head directly to the top of the barrel Ttfn Glenn

Was trying to work out what the little green rings were, on the side cover, so each screw has its own gasket!! It is interesting to compare how engine design and technology has evolved Ttfn Glenn

Have started pulling apart the rack to remove the power assistance bits, hope to get this finished over the weekend, also have a mk5 golf column to adapt to fit. Would have been easier to use a freelander one, to match the rack, but just for the challenge I am trying to do this as cheaply as possible Current total £ 45.99 Hoping to get it done for under £100 Ttfn Glenn

Decided to try and get my sandrail finished before getting into too many other projects, needs brakes, rear suspension, wiring and lots of odds and ends. Made a start by buying a landrover steering rack, to create a rack and pinion conversion. Looks like it will work, need to pull the old steering box and start fabrication on some mounting Ttfn Glenn
