thanks Guys. now this is what confuses me
what difference would that twice the length i.e 30mm on the outer track rod make, when the inner track rod is screwed on to the rack with a m14 1.25 with 15mm of thread?
i mean both parts got the same amount of load or am i wrong?
basically i want to replace a track rod end with a rose joint but all the female rose joint are 15mm shorter then the track rod
thanks,
Gobs

hi guys, wondering if some one could shed some light. what is the minimum thread count / turns required on a track rod end before it can be considered unsafe? it is a M14 thread.
thanks,
Gobs

;D update time time to ger rid of more rust rot can even call it rust haha start of with this underneath some new metal, now I know the shape is not the same but I just made sure the lights and the frame around the light fits some rust primer next section some new metal and rust primer cut shaped and tacked then welded in some new metal for the top tacked the underside copied for the second patch tacked and welded it in after flap wheeling the whole lot we have results then I could not work for a few days so wire brushed the whole front to remove surface rust and I covered the whole lot in some rust primer here is how I will leave it with you for now until next time when I finish off a small hole on the offside and skim it with filler if you squint enough it loks like a baby mustang at the front... maybe its just me, I will get my coat
