Bit of interior work, doorcards, dash, rear bulkhead etc. Weld up a few little holes left from removing the old engine and spray the engine bay and she's a winner... Well no, she's a winner now, and she drives as is, so its your call...

Note for next year improve signage of skips ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) 3 Yes 3! Huge skips at the end of a picturesque orchard should not a sign warrant...

I would love to strike a deal with a properly registered Jago Jeep
Because I'm sure there is someone out there who has a really niche kit car and would love a really niche 50's car... Right?

Ha, depends on how you look at it!
If you want flawless paint, this isn't it
If you want an honest car that wears its 60 years with pride, then she's for you. That's Patina

It is with reluctance I put my Standard Eight Turbo up for sale. I have a pending house move so she has to go '55 Standard Eight, early model with sliding windows and no bootlid. Body is in really good condition. Paintwork has a nice patina, no way near a concourse type thing, but just sits right. Lowered around 5-6 inches onto Appliance Wiremags Fitted with a screaming 660cc Suzuki Cappuccino engine and 5 speed box. These engines are awesome, as standard they have very high spec internals and can take a lot of hp for what is a small engine. Being small it revs to a redline of 9k. It is currently fitted with a K03 turbo from a Passat, this is a little large as boost comes in around 5.5k, I knew this before fitting, but it was available and it is bolt-on swappable with the turbo from the diesel variant which has a much smaller set of compressor wheels which should see boost come in about 4k and make her fly. She weighs roughly the same as a Cappuccino and they do 0-60 in 8secs and go onto 120ish mph. and that's with the engine as standard, which this isnt The engine if you pleased could be removed and sold to say a kitcar owner for a very tidy sum (standard they seems to be about £300-£500)as I spent many weeks sorting a stand alone wiring loom for it and it obviously has the custom top mounted turbo Tax and Mot Exempt makes this cheap motoring. Please note there are still lots of little bits and bobs to do. Mainly interior related, door cards, gauges etc, but this does not detract from is usability. Its hard to put a price on such a custom little car. I'm going to put her up for £3000 which is the lower end of decent early Eight prices ![](http://i67.photobucket.com/albums/h287/2002gimp/PHIL7307_zps3b188d09.jpg) ![](http://i67.photobucket.com/albums/h287/2002gimp/PHIL7305_zps24688317.jpg) ![](http://i67.photobucket.com/albums/h287/2002gimp/PHIL7308_zps9eacf0d1.jpg) ![](http://i67.photobucket.com/albums/h287/2002gimp/PHIL7303_zps16db286b.jpg) ![](http://i67.photobucket.com/albums/h287/2002gimp/PHIL7309_zps59c4e276.jpg) ![](http://i67.photobucket.com/albums/h287/2002gimp/PHIL7312_zps27badd59.jpg) ![](http://i67.photobucket.com/albums/h287/2002gimp/PHIL7319_zps71ea5359.jpg)

They had the bin raging away on Sunday morning so there wasn't a chance it was going to get moved.
But putting a mini keg, deodorant bottles and a gas canister on it then putting the lid on just before leaving is nothing short of making a bomb!
I was there when it went off and luckily it went the other way from where everyone was.
Also revving car engines first thing on the Sunday morning (same lot) - curse word off back to Japfest, you aint welcome!

The internal battery will last about 80 mins
You could hook it up to a perm live though - its not gonna kill the car batt. It also does motion detection so will only record when it see's something.
I have a 32gig card in mine and that's about 4 hours of vids iirc. I think you can fit upto 64gig cards. So with motion detection it could go on forever!
I really cant rate the thing enough, for the price its an awesome bit of kit with video quality that puts cameras 4 times the price to shame!

Yeah I seemingly forgot about that!
That may go anyways as the amount of internal turbo work to get it functioning properly is way out of my rrg deadline
As an aside, I ordered many many bits last night, lots of stainless pipe and silicone tubes and t-bolt clamps and battery tie downs and, err, and I got a free laser pen torch! Imagine my joy

Pretty sneaky. Are you filling in the recess of the grille with metal too? I think even in dark green it will catch the eye, unlike the vertical plane which is practically invisible with the bumper in place. I know exactly what you mean, I just worry it would block a fair amount of air? It would look a thousand times better mind. I'll have to see what I think after some staring!

Evening It's a mere 33 days till the gathering so I best get a move on, but everything still fighting me! I had to move the intercooler and radiator again, mainly to make things easier for me due to pipework. This then made it harder for me on metal work :\ I have moved the radiator to the middle so the coolant pipes line up better and the intercooler now sits below it meaning a nice straight run of pipework. But I had to hack a big chunk out my valance! ![http://i67.photobucket.com/albums/h287/2002gimp/20150719_125521_zpskjkhm4ba.jpg](http://i67.photobucket.com/albums/h287/2002gimp/20150719_125521_zpskjkhm4ba.jpg) You can see above I have started to make it look like its meant to be there by extending downwards. I started to box it in ![http://i67.photobucket.com/albums/h287/2002gimp/20150719_133257_zps63nh8db4.jpg](http://i67.photobucket.com/albums/h287/2002gimp/20150719_133257_zps63nh8db4.jpg) Chucked a bit of paint on as I had to stop for the day, but it gives the idea ![http://i67.photobucket.com/albums/h287/2002gimp/20150719_142433_zpsfqea6aik.jpg](http://i67.photobucket.com/albums/h287/2002gimp/20150719_142433_zpsfqea6aik.jpg) Couldn't resist chucking the ironwork on to see if I still have a sleeper... I think once it's body colour it should blend in well enough??? ![http://i67.photobucket.com/albums/h287/2002gimp/20150719_143435_zpsomggetk6.jpg](http://i67.photobucket.com/albums/h287/2002gimp/20150719_143435_zpsomggetk6.jpg) ![](http://i67.photobucket.com/albums/h287/2002gimp/20150719_200457_zpsgrayzaxb.jpg)

Get a resonator somewhere near the middle, cherry bomb or similar.
I have a 3 foot straight through exhaust and it was just silly, I threw on an 8inch resonator I rescued from a legacy I think and its still loud, but its a nicer tone and has taken that edge of it.
All pretty pointless now I've installed a 10inch screamer pipe, but meh...

Because its an awful instragram type pic and its parked on seemingly uneven ground? And the fact it really really really looks like a poor photoshop
Either way its real and I like that it's real!

I'm with Penski
If that's not a photoshop then the geometry is well f'd up!
Look at the wheel angles relating to the body, hell look a the body angle relating to the floor.
Happy to be proved wrong, but I need more pics

Don't tell him why the mileage is off, just use it to try and knock a bit off.
Get it home, sticker it up, enjoy, sell it for plenty at a later date!
