so whats the best car related movie of all time? Heres a few to get you thinking: Two Lane Blacktop American Graffiti Hot Rod Bullitt Blues Brothers Gone in 60 seconds Mad Max Vaishing Point Fast and Furious Italian Job Personally i love the film Hot Rod and is always my fave. Love the Gasser willys having said that also like Two Lane Blacktop because of the cool 55 chevy (which is the American Grafitti Chevy which was rebuilt) Opinions and any other films welcome

I'll come in with a couple of obvious fella's... • Ronin For the sheer look of terror on DeNiro's face and the cool way they achieved the sequences. • Le Mans I'm pretty sure you have to be a car type of person to enjoy it. • The French Connection A hell of a car chase! • Herbie, the love bug What? I was a kid and I loved it... made me enjoy cars from an early age - deal with it

Porsche 924 - gone Citroen Saxo VTR - not very retro but I loved it - now gone... MK4 Golf GTi 1.8T - gone but hardly remembered... Mini Cooper S R53 - gone BMW 125d Coupe - gone (mostly sideways)
Ford Focus RS Mk1 - hello low MPGs and "wanna race me" at every set of lights... 1973 BMW 2002 - Twin 40's, 284 Cam, Revolutions, E21 Recaros + more Porsche Cayman 987 3.4S - here and due to cost me more money than I have

I've always enjoyed Taxi despite it's obvious weaknesess the 1st one is a good film. As per always with modern car films, by it's 2nd outing the stunts had become far too unrealistic like jumping from bridge to bridge gap etc Anyway : What about Smokey and the Bandit, Convoy or Duel?

You guys always do the easy lifting and low-hanging fruit on this subject (which is posted up every 6 months or so like clockwork, this being a media-driven culture). Some of the best car films were made back in the B&W era. Whole books have been written on this subject, there are thousands of eligible titles.

Roy has gotten officially tedious. He didn't use a Trans Am either, but that looks better than what he did use if you're making an "All-American" poster. ;D

Italian Job. How is it that they like them again?
And Taxi, undubbed, is definately on the billing for the Sparkford Odeon next summer.
