I contacted the guy who I bought the spoiler off and he sent me a couple of photos of how it was. This is how it currently is. Still a way to go before I can paint it. Took a ride out to the beach in Holland on Saturday. 6 hour round trip and the Escort was problem free. My girlfriend drove pretty much all of the journey and I enjoyed being a passenger. Lots of dead flies at the end of the journey.

Good job on the spoiler! I actually drove past your car the other day! I was just a passenger in my mates car and I was like, 'Huh, a old Escort, that's neat! Wait, Ford dealership in Cologne, it's gold, that's ZXRobs car!' Was looking great from the street!

Funnily enough I thought I saw your 944 on Saturday but it was a different one in a similar colour with BM number!

Where in Holland have you been? We were in Domburg for the day. Really nice little place. Living in Cologne I miss the sea quite a lot so it's good to have a ride out.

The for sale advert had been online since last October and I bought it in August. I knew that it was salvageable. The guy said I was the only person who had shown genuine interest! Tomorrow I will be meeting a few of my mates at the Nürburgring and the proper nice lads are bringing me my new wheels!

Ah yes, I´ve been in that region once, too, where you can see really big ships on their way to Antwerpen.

Ah yes, I´ve been in that region once, too, where you can see really big ships on their way to Antwerpen. Yeah that's cool. They are also surprisingly fast! We also said that one day we will take a weekend break in Antwerp as I think it looks quite cool.

I finally finished off my front spoiler today and to say I am proud of myself if quite the understatement. I am not a bodywork man, I am a mechanic. Every time I try a bit of bodywork it goes wrong but this has really worked out well. Maybe because I was very slow with it and only did bits when I could be bothered. It's now fitted and I think it looks cool! In other news I got a fourth RS1600i wheel so they will be going off to be sand blasted soon.

I had the RS1600i front splitter on my Mk3 - bought brand new from Ford, was really cheap too back in the day. Should have kept it, was scrapped with the car Mine was a 1.6 L but ended up dropped with SPAX gas adjustable shocks, MK4 Talgate with MK4 XR3i spoiler, 32/34 DMTL Webber carb too I also had RS Turbo Recaro front seats - best seats I have ever had, drove to Le Mans and back from Nottinghamshire with no back issues etc

There used to be a RS1600i in a field near me when I was young and it got scrapped! As for overrider bumpers I don't really like them for some reason!

Not at all, cant have a post job update everytime!
Good to see it being used daily! Wish I could use my older cars more often but far too much rain and damp weather up here!
