Again Excelent magic dust here Keefy, when I matched a Part time posters car with a Mate, I started a similar thread, it was far too vague though and did not attract any new people lurkers or even my mate as I mentioned! (car turned out to be trouble, got it fixed and he went and got a new MG rover 200 thing now anyway! ). So good one great to see all these cool people, Nice machines Aux BTW, Like teh 'Hell' stickers and that Scooby Ute ! everyone else Hi, and just great to see people, not everyone is able to post all the time or even wants to, thats cool, as said its the diversity that counts, I hope to post less and get busy soon! ;D Great result, look forward to seeing all teh new threads and freash readers rides threads, remember it doesnt have to be a finished show car, just a real world retro gets our juices flowing! Woo!

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

Introduction time, just found your board, its good to see such a variety of stuff being worked instead of the usual single make, cant have this don't want that attitude of some forums ;D As to midgets, here's my wifes healey sprite after I removed all the rotten bits Good to see another Sprite on here ;D Based on what I can see in the pic, is that a Mk3? BTW, if you need any Spridget related advice etc, I thoroughly recommend the appropriate sections of this forum: www2.mgcars.org.uk/cgi-bin/gen5?runprog=mgbbsExtremely helpful, esp with technical advice, and also open minded to modifications

yes, Mk3, 1965. been in a barn since 1970 when the engine froze and burst a core plug.

To get a standard A40 this low, you'd have to dig a hole to put it in

It's all very well picking on us newbies! How about some of the more established members showing their fleet? Some of you have some very interesting motors on paper, for example Slammed 66... 1990 r32 GTR // 93 renault extra GT Turbo // 78 mini pickup // 66 splitscreen camper // + more Not many people are without a digital camera now so come on, show us yours! ;D

I'm sorry about the delay. I didn't get in this part of the forum. I allways get in the "Readers Rides". I don't have a car... so no pictures to put in here. The most similar to that, is a webpage I own devoted to the cars Chrysler made in Argentina. (http://www.argentochrysler.com.ar) We had back in the 60s and 70s a mix of USA cars (Chrysler A bodies) and UK cars (Hillman Avenger). Maybe you find interesting the old advertisements (Publicidades) and road tests. I'm also an active member of the "Club del 1500", a kind of Dodge 1500 (Avenger) owners club (besides I don't have one). I'm also the ad-honorem webmaster there (http://www.clubdel1500.com.ar). Take a look at the meetings, you'll find nice restored Avengers (Dodges 1500).

I'm one of those annoying people that joins to flog a car. This is my Scirocco until this Sunday: 2.0 16v from a Golf Mk3 GTI, brakes from a late spec Mk2 Golf GTI and lots of other little bits. Replacement is still a secret, but probably doesn't qualify as a retro ride.

There is so many people on here with multiple cars in their collection that haven't posted them up! doesn't matter what you've got or what state it's in, be proud to post it. My ADO16 1300 Countryman is in this post, looks minging and dead but one member called it cool! Made my day.

Replacement is still a secret, but probably doesn't qualify as a retro ride. I used to work in the same office as you in Girton,Cambridge, I remember the car I drove a low Golf Mk3 16v at the time that sadly threw an electrical hissy fit and had to be banished to save my sanity.. anyway, the car looks amazing, sad you had to let it go.
