as was pointed out in the 2000 members thread.... there have been a lot of new members recently, and little heard from them. Likewise, there are ALWAYS loadsa lurkers. i've noticed we've been suffering a lack of photos recently too sooooo ...... all you newbies and lurkers, get on here and say hi, and post a picture of your ride!!! and welcome to retro-rides!  |

I'm sure what keefy said wasn't said in any 'malice' way, and wasn't intended to accuse anyone of crime.
It would just be nice to hear different peoples views on things, and more importantly get a chance to see other peoples creations.

christ alive  bazza - you joined in 2004, and have nearly 200 posts - hence i wasn't even aiming this thread at you! and don't be ridiculous getting so defensive, my post finished with 'welcome to retro rides' - i was hardly having a go at anyone. i added this thread not to accuse anyone of anything, merely to let newbies/lurkers know that it'd be cool to see their ride and hear from them. Sometimes people need a bit of a kick up the ar5e, or made to feel comfortable, to open up - i mean it took AGES for tonycocadave to admit he was gay! ;D i cannot believe i am explaining this forget i said anything |

Yeah, even people i know have not surfaced! Be nice to see a few more peeps, whatever the reason, keefys invite is good natured! 2000 members, theoretically this thread could be choc a blok! some come and go in seasons/ownership and some pop in and go, some are too busy spannering and writing magazines etc, some think forums are sad ar are not interested - my mate his loss, i'm sure he watches occasionally! and some are just plain shy. So heres a BIG HI! show us yours!  And all those with more than one username, post a couple of pictures, one under each name!  I know i can think of two! Welcome retro lovers! |

Well, ive been meaning to sign up for ages....and this seems like as good a time as any! heres a few pics of my Midge starting how she looked when I bought her (£325) and ripped off the horrible black bumpers!  and a few minor rust spots.....   but on the assumption that I can do whatever I set my mind to.... she is nearing the finish! got her MOTted over the summer (about a year after I bought her)  may have been slightly lowered  the plans now consist of fitting an electronic ignition system, new carpets inside. LOTS of sanding, grinding and fillering, and a nice new sat black paint job with gloss clear-coat ghost flames. oh, and some white-wall trims. hope you guys like it! theres plenty more pics on the photbucket link in my sig!
