Couple of pics of shuvitt in one piece minus engine and buried under a ton of sh*te due to moving house and having to do diy for the last 18 months. Car is a 79 HS that was fitted with the R body in 1986 by the previous owner,it came to me with a blown engine and some boxes of spares. It now has the 2300 16 valve slant back in place running on 48's with a janspeed 4 into1 manifold, lucas electronic dizzyconversion, ported head, oil cooler set up,lightened flywheel with helix clutch, clubman mounts.Around 190/200 bhp. running gear consists of getrag 5 speed dogleg box,zf lsd, rose jointed bilsteins all round, adjustable top wishbones,gp1 alloy hubs,AP vented discs with M16 callipers, soon to be replaced with wilwoods, bias pedal box, rear axle to get disc brake conversion. 6 point cage and door bars fitted. Still a lot of work to do,and everything takes time due to the rarity of HS parts,Hopefully this summer it 'll have a coat of paint on ready for the DTV/castrol stripes. The plan is to sprint/hillclimb the car,i've got the V6 landy to pull the car trailor! Will post some more pics when I drag it out the garage and start work again. Cheers Ricky

I am 35 yearsold it still wakes me up in the night with a semi and sometimes ive even had a little white wee wee ! The 1973 917 porsche flat 10 lots of turbos etc Hola to all, good to have you here. Just don't wander off now, and like Rmad says, you'll soon enjoy a pleasant realignment of your interests If you like the hippy 917, you'll like this video. The first Classic Le Mans, which fell on my 30th birthday. All I wanted to do was hear it run at night, whilst drinking Cider in France. Job jobbed. curse word footage, but the noise... Oh the noise [a href=" "][/a]

TCC - sorry mate. I did think afterwards that if you didnt spot this thread a load of people would think you bat for the other side without you knowing!! Loving the pics of the shuvitt/landy combo! and i think the midget looks great as is. its got that hoodrideness to it. kinda like the crazy octopus of the midget world. My best mate has a late midget and did rid of the bumpers - completely reprofiled the rear so it looks like they were never there. They look SO much nicer without imho

I'm a bit of a newbie and have only really posted in the name the car thread thus far. Anyhow, this is mine. I've got a MKVI Escort and a MKII Mondeo but they aren't exactly retro so no pics. I'm something of a serial offender as my past list includes 4 sierras, a couple of MKIII Capris and a MKII Escort. If people ask, I tell 'em I drive an Escort with a Zetec. I just don't mention that it's FWD and Ford fitted the zetec.

Do I still count as a newbie after 120-odd posts in a fortnight? I just can't help it, if you join in something you may as well get stuck in and get involved, even if as I do you talk fappin' kerrap half the time.

one thing i suggest all newbies do, is make sure that the put where abouts they're from in their profiles, just makes it soo much easier for peope to offer help if they know your whereabouts. doesnt have to be your house number and post code just the town or wherever
