The last piece of the interior puzzle was the front door cards. They were covered in lovely 1991 floral caravan upholstery, the only bit of the original interior fabric left.
I had hoped to strip it off and revive the vinyl underneath, but it was glued on good and proper. We had a spare manky card off a spare door and used it for inspiration.
And Mrs Generallee got busy on the sewing machine. The stripes are piping, and she says she is never, ever, trying to make straight lines with piping on flat fabric ever again. Ever. ...apparently they were tricky then. And she still isn't 100% happy with them. I am, I think they really pop.
