Planar do a silent pump, not sure how it compares to an Eberspacher for noise or price though. It is quiet though - mounted underneath the van I can't hear it over the fan. I was equally annoyed with the ticking! planarheaters.co.uk/store/ols/products/new-silent-metering-fuel-pump-th-11Note that this pumps twice as much fuel per stroke as the CDH 2kW pump, so you need to go into the settings and halve the Hz value. Not sure how it compares to a 5kW heater if that's what you have.

Sometimes, others may not understand why you like a car so much. Sometimes, you may not even understand why you like a car so much. But none of that matters; all that matters is that you like the car, and having it makes you happy.

I thought I'd get used to the ticking but it is quite intrusive. I don't mind the white noise whoosh of the heater though.

The 2kW Planar pump is 44 microlitres per stroke, so you should be able to compare that to what's marked on your existing pump and adjust the frequency accordingly, if required. The pump for their 4kW heaters *may* be more appropriate but it depends how they've set it up.

That is good to know, thanks. I'll compare it to what I have and see what's what.
