Please note the initial info is not 100% correct - So just to add a little to this
A- As stated above, no salvagable parts (usually burnouts but can be heaviliy damaged vehicles)To be crushed whole (after de-poluting)
B-As above, the vehicle has salvagable parts - shell is to be crushed (after de-poluting)
To be clear on S and N, costs have no bearing on the code (links to previous C & D are also incorrect, so to clarify
N - Non structural damage, can be anything but basically minor damage (think of it as not requiring jigging) There is more to it then that but that is in simple terms.
S - Structural, again as above - but think of it as needing jigging or re-alignment or some major structural part requires replacment. (again more to it but thats in simple terms)
It's basically to try and re-look at the issue where you would have a £40k value vehicle with £35k repair costs being a CAT D which many felt (incorrectly) that this was lightly damaged. Then you would have an older vehicle say £2k with £2 1/2K damage that was a CAT C. I know which i'd prefer. Just the perception thats put there.
The mention of F & X is not part of the code and some insurance companies may use that for internal procesess. However when doing a check you will not see any mention of F or X. As an example of X, if a vehicle is stolen and paid out and then later recovered with little or no damage then it falls out of the code so some insurance companies apply an X just they can process the salvage.
No disrespect to the original poster but the definition of S&N is not correct...
Again CAT A for fatalities is not in the code, that is at the insurers discretion but is not a requirment of the code.

I bought them from a guy in the UK - he told me they were from the estate version (he sourced them from the US). To be honest I'm not 100% sure - all the fittings are included and it looks a straight swap. The original drums were ok on mine as you would expect from a 36k truck but the backing plates are shot...

Nice find - I worked at a Mitsubishi dealer when these first came out in 1988 - Liked the Gti version as you would but were rare then.|Vastly underarted cars were Mitsubishi back then. I have an earlier 1986 Lancer (the model before this) I do like these, would love the Turbo GSR from Japan. I love all things Mitsubishi. If you ever want to sell that 86 let me know. Would be good to see some photos of it either way. You and me both - I have an L300 van as well that I turned into a camper (That was recorded on RR a few years back but photobucket messed the pics up) I only have one picture of the Lancer taken from the ebay ad in 2010 when I bought it Mitsubishi Lancer GLX by Anglia305e, on Flickr It's off the road at the moment while I finish my Subaru pick up then I plan to tidy it up again.

Here is my collection - note this is only the new kits, I have equally as many built and running cars. I had more than this but I sold a few about 5 years ago to help with the rebuild of my Anglia. To be honest I could do with selling more but please don't message me, when i'm ready to sell i'll advertise em. Too much on the go at the moment. As a background i've been into RC since 1983 apart from a brief break when I sold my cars - i've slowly replaced em. You will see i'm a bit mad on the Subaru Brat as that was my first RC, i also have a 1:1 Subaru which i'm currently rebuilding. I should post a build thread as some point. If I get chance i'll post some pics of me runners - I have some nice rarities including an original Mountaineer/Audi Quattro rally/Lancia 037 Rally to name but a few.

Heres details of my Mitsubishi L300I bought this around 2011 and stillown it,i've not done much to it since the build but it does get used every year. My daughter will outgrow the hammock this year so I am contemplating fitting a pop top from an Elgrand as the dimensions are similiar. I spent ages looking for mine and that was 6 years ago.You still see some nice SWB ones turn up but i've not seen one as clean as mine for a long time.I am sure there will be somewhere. I only wanted an L300 as I used to work on them in the eighties at a Mitsubishi dealership (I also have a 1986 Lancer!!) Anyways good luck and the H100 is a great compromise - I looked at those at the time also..

Don't use silicone on the boot bolts, you need a non setting mastic like builders frame sealant (cheaper too). Silicone will glue them on and often breaks the seal with resultant water 'creep' whereas non setting will allow disassembly and not leak. WHS, household gutter sealant is good for this. Or I've used thin rubber washers in the past. Great build by the way.

You stand a better chance looking for a passenger seat. The frames are near identical left and right. I found a really nice one on ebay for 99p. Takes less than 30 mins to swap over. You are left with a couple of holes on the left hand side of the squab but you don't see it when fitted. Remember to swap the foam as well. Just done mine, didn't take pics of process but it shows you how on mvbrumbybrat. Other option is to fit sits from a forester.

Out of interest do you have any build pictures when you fitted the front bumper, i've just started the rebuild of my MV and i'm goind down the same route of chrome bumpers. I've sourced brand new saloon bumpers (have light recess in front bumper and no recess for rear number plate) but i'll get round that. I've also sourced some front bumper extentions with orange markers but it looks like I need a corner bumper to match them together? Is that how it is on yours? did you use the standard bumper irons?
Great truck by the way and i've enjoyed having a good read through...

really enjoyed reading that and well done. Out of the many cars I have owned i've only really wanted to trace 2 Anglias that I once had, one appeared on ebay a few years back but the seller tried to fleece me due to being too keen. It ended up being broken up for spares (gutted about that one) and the second which was my very first car I tracked down to Chesterfield but again I couldnt get any more info from the guy. Might be still there but i doubt it. I'm surprised at how well the moggy looks and is testiment to the work your dad did - he is very very lucky to have a son like you. I look forward to the rebuild but first lets see some more on this camper ;-)
