There was a big article on the front of local paper that heating oil thefts have gone through the roof aswell.
So you run out of petrol freeze your nuts fixing the car then get home and find there's no heating.

Not sure on the MOT, but I can remember going with my father to get his 1965 911 resparayed minus all the glass and bonnet. This was nearly 25 years ago.
We got stopped by the old bill and they tried to get on him for not having windscreen wipers fitted, after stating he had no windscreen he didn't need them, they checked the entire car couldn't find anything he could be charged with so let us on our way. ;D
Think if we got stopped today we would have problems because of the lack of bonnet.

I'm sure a few years back I read a thread (on a different forum) of someone fitting an audi V8 in the back of a Polo Bread van anyone know if this was ever finished?

here's a pic of mine-i don't suppose its that tasty cos its still bog standard but i've had it over six years and its never let me down. build quality is great with no squeaks or rattles but I think the 93 on series 2 cars are better made because I had a j reg 1.9 before and that felt a bit flimsy against this one-it was still a good car though. the 2.0 engine feels smoother than the old 1.9 too-i'd definately recommend them. thinking about finding a diablo red 16v le mans now I Had a TD exactly the same as this GTDX?? on a M plate did 50k and never lifted the bonnet sold it 5 years back with 190K and I still it around every so often. Just remembered mine had a rear spoiler though

Have a Polish Fiesta always parked on the street outside our office, moves to different places daily so it not abandoned and the offside head light been kicked in for the last 9 months. Coming back from Norwich in a Cab the other night, the headlight warning light comes on and the cabby gets pulled a mile down the road.
Buy yourself Polish plates avoid the congestion charge, RFL, speed cameras, insurance the lot.

Love the four wheeled bug, always fancied one but four wheels makes more sense.

yup a k10 box will bolt on directly as the pao is fitted with the MA10 engine which is identical to the k10 micra. however he will need the carb from a manual k10 also as the auto carb is different need any more info feel free to send me a PM Many thanks for that. I think the plan is to find a reasonably low mileage 5-speed Micra for not much money and swap as much as possbile across. The Pao has quite a few differences in a subtle way to the K10, distributor, exhaust, carb. The easiest swap is to do everything, gearbox, engine and all the auxilliary bits including the exhaust. But remember the Pao has power steering and aircon so you going to need to swap a few bits from the old engine.
