1989 Citroen BX14 Leader by KGF Classic Cars, on Flickr SOLD / 01733 425140 / 07976 935046 / sales@kgfclassiccars.co.uk

A delightfully retro and iconic Citroen BX14 Leader with just 28,939 miles.EQUIPMENTBertone designed body with plastic weight-saving body panels, plastic wrap-around bumpers, self-levelling hydropneumatic suspension, anti-dive/anti-lift geometry, manual ground control lever, laminated windscreen, halogen headlamps, protective side mouldings, single sweep windscreen wiper system with electric screen washer, door opening warning reflectors. Warning light system for oil pressure, hydraulic pressure, hydraulic fluid, water temperature, handbrake, choke and front brake pad wear. Dealer options; Unleaded fuel set up, remove leader decals from side, mud flaps, Tailblazer, over mats, radio cassette player. EXTERIORThe boxy shape of this iconic Citroen BX, penned by Bertone, is the ultimate 80’s throwback and represents a time when Citroen just did everything different. The BX 14 Series featured a range of three cars with the 1.4 petrol engine, this Leader model being mid-specification. Finished in Citroen Blanc, (Code EWT), the bodywork is beautifully straight with a superb unform finish. The lightweight plastic body panels are completely intact as is all trim, glass lights and badges. The first owner requested the supplying dealer to remove the Leader decals from the sides as confirmed on the vehicle order form still in the history file. Some light imperfections to the rear bumper are visible along with some touched-in marks. Supplying dealer branded number plates, tax disc holder and Total rear screen sticker adds a lovely touch of authenticity. A marvellous slice of Citroen quirkiness! INTERIORTypical Gallic soft furnishings and sumptuous comfort are found in this brilliant BX. The Chequered Cloth upholstery is beautifully clean with no rips or holes and only slight stretching to the fabric on the front seats has occurred. The fascia, door cards, carpet and headlining are all in super condition although one astray lid is missing in the rear door armrest. All controls and functions operate perfectly including the optional Sharp AN55 stereo cassette. The door and boot apertures are very clean with the factory stencilled codes intact and some touched in paintwork marks. A refreshing contrast to today’s firm seats, this plush and smooth-riding BX is an ergonomic indulgence. ENGINE & TRANSMISSIONThe 1360cc engine as fitted to all BX 14 Series models is the renowned TU Series unit developing 72bhp and 109Nm or torque. In a car with an unladen weight of just 900kg, top speed is quoted at 101mph while 0-60mph is achieved in 13.4 seconds. The engine bay is very clean and still has the slam panel stickers and offside wing lip chassis stamp as well as the nearside inner wing paint code clearly visible. Having covered just 28,939 miles from new and cared for by Citroen specialists, every aspect of the car is in prime working condition including the perfectly operating suspension system to offer an exceptional, unique and fun driving experience! The five-speed gearbox is light and easy to use. WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKESThe factory fitted wheels and hubcaps are fully intact and in superb order and all four tyres are matching quality brand 165/70 R14 fitted new in 2021 with minimal mileage covered. The power operated braking system with outboard discs front and rear offer excellent stopping power. HISTORY FILERegistered new on 20th April 1989 by Citroen Main Dealer, Pat Wilson & Co of Plymouth, this outstanding example has covered just 28,939 miles from new. The comprehensive history file began even before the car was registered and when prospective first owner, Mrs Stearn, had telephoned her local Citroen dealer to enquire about buying a new BX. A letter to her from the subsequent supplying dealer enclosed a quotation and days later the order was put in. The original new car order form specifies the dealer options as well as Mrs Stearns adamant request that the Leader decals be removed from the sides! This request was duly obeyed and the following new vehicle invoices confirms £6,644.00 paid for the car. The car has been very well maintained throughout its life by Citroen Main Dealers and marque specialists, more so in recent years by highly respected Chevronics in Hitchin. In just the last two years comprehensive servicing and maintenance has been carried out to include timing belt in November 2021 and the suspension system with recent invoices for this period totalling over £3,500. The most recent service at Chevronics was carried out in July 2023. The large file of invoices dates back to 1990 when the first service was carried out and MOT records date back to the very first in 1992. The full Citroen book pack is present along with two keys and even an original Citroen BX 14 Series sales brochure. A true delight to traditional Citroen fanciers and without question, one of the best BX driving experiences you can get with very few factory correct examples remaining. MOT August 2024, HPI Clear. A Concours D’Elegance competing Volkswagen Corrado 16V in Nugget Yellow.EQUIPMENTLarge covered bumpers in vehicle colour, speed dependant electronically raised rear spoiler in vehicle colour, black front spoiler, black trim around windows, side rubbing strips, electrically heated and adjusted door mirrors in vehicle colour, air deflector on driver’s wiper arm, broad beam halogen headlamps, laminated windscreen, green tinted heat insulating glass, power assisted steering, central locking, leather trimmed sports steering wheel, Blaupunkt Atlanta SQR 47 stereo cassette, multi-function digital computer. Factory Options; Electric sunroof, electric windows, leather upholstery. Dealer Options; BBS Alloy wheels, TOAD AI606 security alarm. EXTERIORThis astonishing very early Corrado is finished in the highly sought after and arguably most coveted colour of Nugget Yellow, (Code D4). The amazing paintwork boasts a stunning bright shine and uniform finish to really highlight this vibrant colour and all bodywork panels are beautifully straight with linear shut lines. There are barely any imperfections worthy of mention other than a touched in chip to the driver’s door. All trim sections and badges are immaculate and the supplying dealer number plates and rear screen sticker remain. This very car has gained huge respect and admiration in many Concours D’Elegance judging events as well as being in several magazine features and represents a highly collectable example. INTERIORA truly spectacular interior with the sports seats finished in rare factory optional Black Leather, (Code YD), with the matching door and side panels. The interior is beautifully clean and the seat bolsters remain perfectly shaped with only very light hairline crazing to the leather on the driver’s seat outer bolster. The high-quality fascia and interior are in perfect order with fully functioning equipment throughout including the factory fitted Blaupunkt Atlanta SQR 47 stereo. The luggage area including boot carpet and immaculate parcel shelf are in fine order and the spotless boot floor area still has the factory build label. Perfectionists will adore the pristine door apertures and even the uniquely sited warning triangle zipped into the rear central armrest. A near perfect interior throughout. ENGINE & TRANSMISSIONVolkswagens four-cylinder 16V engine displacing 1781cc needs little introduction with power output of 136bhp and 162Nm of torque quoted. A top speed of 132mph is very impressive and 0-60mph is achieved in just 8.1 seconds. The engine bay itself is beautifully clean and fastidiously detailed even down to the under-bonnet insulation which is as new. In perfect mechanical condition, the driving experience is second to none with features such as a genuine VW exhaust system and the electronically extending rear spoiler raising at higher speeds working as it should. The 5-speed sports gearbox is positive and is a joy to use. WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKESDealer fitted optional BBS alloys are highly sought after additions and look sensational with immaculate BBS centre caps. Matching premium brand Continental 195/50 R15 tyres have plenty of tread. Powerful brake discs all round, ventilated to front, offer steady and assured stopping power. HISTORY FILERegistered new on the 27th November 1989 by Volkswagen Main Dealer, Karmann in Barnet, this example is a very early car on a G prefix registration. This Nugget Yellow example has covered just 68,570 miles from new and has been enthusiast owned throughout. In 2010 the car was purchased by Karl Fasulo as he was in the process of launching KGF Classic Cars and the opportunity to buy the car back 13 years later is an emotional experience. Reminiscent of the days when he and his partner Rosie, now wife, would travel the country in the evenings after work to find unique classic cars in order to set up the business, this Corrado holds very special memories. The car was subsequently sold to the Chairman of the VW Corrado Club of Great Britain who owned two other examples. The following and most recent owner was indeed the Founder of the club, so the car has enjoyed very passionate and knowledgeable ownership! Respect and admiration in many Concours D’Elegance judging events is evidenced in the large history file with judging score sheets and there is also magazine and classic car newspaper publications whereby this actual car has been used as the benchmark for buying guides. The original V.A.G grey document holder contains all the owner’s manuals, instructions pamphlets and dealer literature as well as the service book. The large service history file contains many main dealer invoices and all recent MOT’s have been carried out by VW with accompanying Health Check lists. A video of the latest Health Check confirms by the Master Technician that it is, ‘the best he has ever seen’. The most recent service was carried out using genuine VW parts in May 2023 and the cambelt was changed in July 2023. Two keys are present and a sales brochure. One of the best. 1992 Renault Alpine A610 Turbo by KGF Classic Cars, on Flickr SOLD / 01733 425140 / 07976 935046 / sales@kgfclassiccars.co.uk
Thinking of selling? Our proven commission sale or SOR (Sale or Return) program is a great way to utilise and access our professional services and facilities while still maximising the return from your vehicle with minimal hassle, stress and time, If you’d like to take advantage of this then please get in touch for further information. Alternatively If you’d like to move your vehicle on quickly and efficiently with minimal delay then we can make an offer on an outright purchase basis with payment and collection arranged soon after.HISTORY
Jean Rédélé was the youngest Renault Dealer in France and launched his first car in 1954, naming it after the classic French road trial. The A106 had early success in the Mille Miglia Road Race and was the beginning of a fruitful mutual partnership between Alpine and Renault. With continual rally success by 1968 Alpine had been allocated the whole Renault competition budget and opened a new assembly plant in Dieppe. Iconic cars including the A108, A110, A310 and GTA/A610 were hand built there but high assembly costs and low demand, (due to the cost when new), only 818 A610 Turbos were made when production ceased in 1995, of which just 67 were RHD. The Alpine factory remained open building cars such as the Clio Williams and RenaultSport Spiders and in 2017 the Alpine marque was relaunched with an all-new A110. EQUIPMENTImpact-resistant reinforced lightweight composite body, integrated side skirts, front and rear spoilers, aerodynamic flat underbody, pop-up halogen headlights, twin exhausts, 6-speaker stereo system, air conditioning, power steering, one-touch electric windows, turbo pressure gauge, multi-function trip computer, dash rheostat, electric heated door mirrors, folding rear 2+2 seats, leather-bound sports steering wheel. Dealer Accessories; Fire extinguisher, Alpine carpet mats. EXTERIORThe sleek lines and painstakingly designed details of the Alpine A610 combined with carefully-honed aerodynamics result in a stunning supercar appearance. Finished in sensational Metallic Aspen Blue, (Code 543), the glossy shine is perfectly uniform and all decals and badges are present. Alpine enthusiasts will note two uniform lines spanning the roof from right to left exactly factory correct and lost on a repainted less original examples. All glass, rubbers and wheel apertures are as new. Having covered delivery mileage until 2006 and now with only 3,797 miles, this really is as perfect as it gets. INTERIORThe ergonomically-designed ‘Petale’ sports seats finished in special order Blue Leather, are immaculate and along with the rest of the interior, commensurate with the amazingly low 3,797 miles covered. All dials, gauges and electronic displays function perfectly including the heater fan on all speed settings but the radio does not turn on. The instrument binnacle still has the plastic protective cover attached and Alpine carpet mats are fitted. The leather-bound sports steering wheel with the Alpine Blue logo has no wear. A common issue with this model and its predecessor, the GTA, is the headlining which has not dropped on this example. A very exclusive, hand built and rare environment. ENGINE & TRANSMISSIONUnder the bonnet and engine compartment is incredibly clean with all stickers, plates and labels still attached. Even factory PDI paint dabs are visible. The light alloy 2975cc ‘PRV’ V6 engine equipped with an electronically controlled Garrett T3 turbocharger produces 250bhp which is enough to propel this Supercar to a top speed of 165mph and 0-62 in 5.7secs. The 5-speed aluminium alloy gearbox performs faultlessly. WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKESFitted with instantly recognised 16in Turbine alloy wheels shod in Toyo Proxes tyres all-round measuring 205/45 ZR16 front and 245/45 ZR16 rear. Front and rear ventilated discs with Bosch 5-sensor ABS brakes stop this supercar quickly and safely. HISTORY FILEA remarkable and privileged history. This example was a special order RHD vehicle manufactured on the 11th March 1992 and registered on the 11th June 1992, as confirmed in writing by Renault UK Ltd. It was produced along with 28 other RHD cars in 1992 and just 67 RHD cars in total, (Source: Renault Alpine Owners Club). Immediately delivered to a wealthy Renault Franchise Owner in Singapore where it resided in his private Renault collection with delivery mileage only. Arriving in the UK in 2006 having been sourced by Radford Racing who also purchased a Red LHD delivery mileage example from the same collection. The magazine adverts in Classic & Sports Car when both cars were advertised for sale are included in the comprehensive history file along with the dealers original advert. Sold to the Alpine enthusiast, Mr Mike Vorndran in May 2007, the Sales Invoice reveals the purchase price of £19,000. Mr Vordran subsequently booked the car into Renault Slough and paid £1,384 to replace the instrument cluster and convert from Km/h to mph. At the point of change the instrument reading was documented at 602km or 374 miles. Mr Vordran has continued to cherish the car and the history file is neatly presented with a vast number of invoices to prove the mechanical wellbeing and nurtured upkeep along with all previous MOT certificates to verify the mileage. The vehicle has attended numerous Renault Alpine events and is well known and highly respected in the Renault Alpine Owners Club. This rare car is presented with two keys on Alpine leather key fobs, all handbooks and the original black Alpine leather pouch. Also included are workshop manuals and period magazine features. Last sold by KGF Classic Cars in 2018 with 2,518 miles we are delighted to have back probably the best, lowest mileage and most original Renault Alpine A610 Turbo in the world. 1989 Austin Rover Maestro 1.3L by KGF Classic Cars, on Flickr SOLD / 01733 425140 / 07976 935046 / sales@kgfclassiccars.co.uk
Thinking of selling? Our proven commission sale or SOR (Sale or Return) program is a great way to utilise and access our professional services and facilities while still maximising the return from your vehicle with minimal hassle, stress and time, If you’d like to take advantage of this then please get in touch for further information. Alternatively If you’d like to move your vehicle on quickly and efficiently with minimal delay then we can make an offer on an outright purchase basis with payment and collection arranged soon after.
An astounding and original Austin Rover Maestro 1.3L with just 6,712 miles. EQUIPMENTTwin tone paintwork, bolt-on wings, side rubbing strips, laminated windscreen, childproof rear locks, locking fuel cap, internally adjustable door mirrors, slide/tilt sunroof with louvred screen, digital clock, illuminated cigar lighter, manual choke with warning lamp, heated rear window, rear wash/wipe, height adjustable seatbelts, rear seatbelts, twin swivelling sun visors with docket pockets, two speed wipers with intermittent and flick-wipe, lockable glovebox, rake-adjustable front seats, coat hooks, coin tray, ash tray. Dealer accessories; Mud flaps. EXTERIORAn almost inconceivable survivor, this stunning and original Austin Maestro 1.3L is finished in its factory coating of Oyster Beige over Tempest Grey Matt, (Code RWB). The paintwork is utterly incredible throughout with a glossy uniform shine and the correct matt finish to the lower Tempest Grey. All factory panels are pin straight and even the closest scrutiny reveal nothing other than miniscule imperfections, utterly insignificant and left untreated to uphold total factory finish. Originality seekers will be pleased to see supplying Austin Rover dealer number plates and tax disc holder, which even has the 1988 disc still in it! The underside boasts a pleasing absence of excess applied underseal allowing easy inspection of its preserved state. Guaranteed to draw much fascination at any classic car show, this really is very special. INTERIOR A virtually showroom fresh interior entirely commensurate with the 6,712 miles covered, this Maestro even retains the nostalgia evoking Austin Rover scent! The Box and Plain Velvet upholstery in Flint, (Code LCG), is wonderfully preserved with taut seats and matching door card coverings spotlessly clean. The carpets are immaculate as is the headlining with no loosening or sagging whatsoever. The glass is factory fitment with all etching and stereo security labels intact. The dashboard has no cracks and all gauges and equipment is operational with the exception of the original stereo cassette which powers up and illuminates but only crackles. All touch points such the steering wheel, gear knob and interior handles show a total lack of wear found only on uber-low mileage examples. A beautiful and deliciously retro interior. ENGINE & TRANSMISSIONThe renown 1.3 litre A-plus engine needs little introduction and is legendary for its driveability and excellent economy, this low mileage example being no exception. The 62bhp feels spirited, is quiet and offers very low maintenance costs. Performance figures are quoted at a top speed of 97mph and 0-60mph in 12.5secs. The unspoilt engine bay is very clean and still has all original stickers, plates and strut top chassis stamp clearly visible as well as factory wax and panel seam sealer. The five-speed gear box is precise and light, a great combination. WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES Steel rims wearing the correct original full width 13in wheel trims are in superb order with just one trim showing a few markings. Matching brand 155/70 R13 tyres were fitted new in 2019 and have covered approximately 600 miles. The original Dunlop SP6 spare tyre still with coloured banding has never seen the road and sits in a pristine boot area which also has the polystyrene mould with unused jack and wheel brace. The diagonally split dual-circuit hydraulic brakes with servo assistance offer ample stopping power. HISTORY FILERegistered new on the 4th January 1989, the supplying Austin Rover Main Dealer was Mann Egerton in Morden, Surrey. The first owner, Mr Norris, cherished the car for 28 years until 2017 and there have been just two further British Leyland Austin Rover enthusiast custodians since. The large history file is neatly presented with invoices for servicing and maintenance dating back to when the car was new as well as comprehensive MOT certificates from the very first in 1992 to warrant the remarkably low mileage. The original owner’s information wallet houses the full book pack including service book as well as both sets of keys with a dealer fob. A sales brochure from point of sale is also included. A full service was carried out in July 2023. In prized care with British Leyland Austin Rover enthusiasts from new, this example is a rare and preserved part of Maestro history. Gracing classic car shows will always be a topic of interesting conversation and draw many secret admirers! MOT May 2024, HPI Clear. 1996 Lada Samara 1.3S by KGF Classic Cars, on Flickr SOLD / 01733 425140 / 07976 935046 / sales@kgfclassiccars.co.uk
An incredible Lada Samara 1.3S with a miniscule 366 miles from new! EQUIPMENT Reinforced chassis, body and suspension, impact resistant bumpers, halogen headlamps, high-intensity rear fog lamps, laminated windscreen, tow hooks front and rear, heated rear window, internally adjustable door mirrors, sound deadening, reclining front seats, front and rear seat belts, courtesy lights interior and under bonnet, safety reflectors in front door edges, cigar lighter, lower fascia shelf, rear folding and removable parcel shelf, fully folding rear seats, radio console.
EXTERIOR Finding any Lada Samara is a difficult task, although to find one with an astonishing and genuine 366 miles from new, this example is most likely to be the lowest mileage Lada Samara in existence! In factory original Champagne, the paintwork to all factory panels is quite incredible and boasts a uniform finish. The famously crude craftsmanship and somewhat questionable paint finish in some areas is quite amusing and exactly as is left the factory! Some very small touched in chips and marks accrued while in long term storage are visible upon close inspection. Supplying Lada Main Dealer number plates, rear screen sticker and tax disc holder remain fitted. This example is simply as it left the Lada/Proton showroom in 1996, with absolutely nothing replaced or altered. Truly a one-off museum piece and a Festival of the Unexceptional championship contender!
INTERIOR An interior entirely commensurate with a near delivery mileage car! Functional yet quite comically unrefined, this interior is plastic fantastic! The durable grey cloth/velour upholstery is perfect with no wear or markings whatsoever. The somewhat rudimentary fit and finish embodies the reputation Lada was famous for, yet this example is perfect in every respect with nothing out of place. All functions and controls operate perfectly and the common touch points such as the steering wheel and curiously unergonomic gear knob retain prominent factory veins. The luggage area boasts the flimsiest of parcel shelves, albeit in perfect condition, as well as the load space carpet, unused spare, tool bag and even factory build label still intact. Wonderfully preserved.
ENGINE & TRANSMISSION The 1288cc four-cylinder engine featuring twin choke carburettor and automatic choke set up allows for a top speed of 92mph and 0-60mph in 15.4 seconds. The untouched engine bay has original plates, fragile paper stickers and factory chassis stamp to the strut top clearly visible. The blue HT Leads remain fitted, and all fluids are clean and clear. Even the under-bonnet lamp with fragile cowl is fully intact and operational! Recently serviced to include a cambelt change, the engine is quiet and the 5-speed manual gearbox change feels brand new!
WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES The standard steel wheels wear the original paint with only light markings. The factory fitted Rosava 165/70 R13 tyres with no wear of cracks further uphold the miraculous low mileage originality but renewal is advised should the intention be to use the car. The servo-assisted diagonally split brakes with discs up front have been overhauled and pull the car up quickly and safely.
HISTORY FILE Registered new on the 28th March 1996 by Lada and Proton Main Dealer, Autobahn of Gravesend, this unrepeatable example has covered a genuine 366 miles from new! The car was initially registered to Motor Vehicle Imports Ltd, the official Lada importer. Subsequently, a vehicle order form and sales invoice are made out to first owner Mr Cairnes who paid £6,395 for the car less part exchange allowance of £1,500 for his 1985 Lada Riva! Mr Cairnes was the devoted custodian of the car until 2014 when he eventually ceased driving. Records in the history file and testimony from the previous owners show that his Polish next-door neighbour then jumped at the chance to purchase the car knowing just how low the mileage was and how well it had been cared for.
The burgundy Lada Samara document wallet houses the full book pack including service book, dealer point of sale literature and two sets of keys. Some previous tax discs and unused Green Flag stickers are also present. The car is fully serviced and ready use should the next owner wish including renewal of the cambelt in June 2023. There is even a Lada Samara range brochure in the history file!
An almost inconceivable survivor, guaranteed to steal the show at any classic car event.
MOT July 2024, HPI Clear.

2000 Rover Mini Cooper Sport by KGF Classic Cars, on Flickr SOLD / 01733 425140 / 07976 935046 / sales@kgfclassiccars.co.uk
A collectable Rover Mini Cooper Sport with 7,969 miles and one owner from new.EQUIPMENTChrome brightwork, twin coachlines and decals, Mini winged badges, derivative and GB boot badges, cream faced instrument gauges and dials, analogue clock, alloy gear knob, alloy door furniture, driver’s airbag, Perimetric anti-theft alarm with passive engine immobiliser and remote activation. Sports Option Pack; Large body colour extended wheel arches, 2 driving lamps + two fog lamps, Sport style alloy wheels, large bore chrome tailpipe finisher, additional gauges in fascia, sports accelerator pedal. EXTERIORThis outstanding and highly collectable classic Mini Cooper Sport is finished in factory original Solar Red with contrasting Platinum silver roof resulting in a combination paint code of WNR. The factory paintwork is exceptional and entirely commensurate with the incredible 7,969 miles from new covered in the hands of just one owner. The car is preserved in almost new condition aside from a few carefully touched-in marks. All the common and typical Mini areas of concern are perfect. The pristine factory fitted glass, lights and badges remain manufacturer standard, and features such as the supplying dealer number plates, rear screen sticker and tax disc holder remain. The ultimate collector’s piece for the Mini connoisseur. INTERIORThe full leather interior in Black and Nickle Silver, (Code WNP), is in perfect condition with no wear whatsoever. The leather steering wheel still has full colour and defined natural veins, a pleasing feature found only on such low mileage cars. The cut pile carpets are protected by tailored over mats and the door cards are unmarked, as is the leather padded dashboard and contrasting alloy finish fascia. All cream faced dials and gauges, together with other interior functions are in full working order, including the original Mini branded stereo cassette. A real showroom fresh interior. ENGINE & TRANSMISSIONNeeding little introduction is the legendary and time proven Rover Group A-Series engine used throughout the entire life of the classic Mini. The final production cars utilised the 1275cc unit mated to Multi-Point fuel Injection to lower emissions and noise and increase performance, a revision that is truly evident in this example. Factory standard both mechanically and aesthetically, even down to the original exhaust, the engine bay displays factory plates, stickers, MG Rover service parts and even the usually discarded yellow coolant and brake fluid advice disc! The standard four speed gearbox is smooth, precise and a pleasure to use. WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKESThe original 13in sports style alloys wheels are unrestored with a few tiny markings. Matching premium brand 175/50/R13 tyres were fitted in 2022 and have covered very few miles. The unused spare wheel and Pirelli Cinturato CN54 tyre rest alongside the original jack and Mini pouch in the immaculate boot area. The servo assisted brakes incorporating front discs and rear drums bring this lively little car to an assured halt. HISTORY FILERegistered new on 11th September 2000, the supplying Rover Main Dealer was Bristol Street Poole Limited. This stunning Mini has had just one owner from new with only 7,969 miles covered. The history file contains previous MOT’s certificates dating back to the first in 2003 with mileage input errors but a service book with nine service entries and a signed letter from the first owner warranting the total mileage covered is provided. Invoices and complete book pack is included. The most recent full service was carried out in April 2023 at 7,967 miles. Completing the history file is both sets of keys and Rover remote fobs and even an original Mini sales brochure. Incredibly collectable, this prized Mini is not to be missed. Ford Thames Van 7CWT 4205BP (60) by KGF Classic Cars, on Flickr SOLD / 01733 425140 / 07976 935046 / sales@kgfclassiccars.co.uk
A delightful Ford Thames 7-CWT Van with just three owners in 65 years! EQUIPMENT7-CWT specification, all-steel welded integral construction, large one-piece curved windscreen, twin chrome rear view mirrors, twin chrome vacuum operated windscreen wipers, opening quarter lights, chrome radiator grille and headlamp surround inserts, chrome windscreen surround, chrome front bumper, chrome rear quarter bumpers, twin rear lights and reflectors, rear number plate illumination light, driver’s sun visor, ashtray, speedometer, odometer, fuel gauge, temperature gauge. Factory Options; Flashing indicators, passenger seat with sun visor, heater and demister. Accessories; Towbar with single electric socket, lowered suspension, oversize rear wheels, exterior windscreen sunshield, large picnic hamper. EXTERIORA commercial vehicle from Ford still in existence almost 65 years after being built, this rare surviving Ford Thames Van is quite remarkable. Sourced from a fascinating private Ford collection, this example was displayed in the owner’s hallway of all places whilst also being put into use for shows whereby it easily transported a large picnic hamper and deck chairs! Professionally repainted in Durham Beige, the paintwork is uniform and has a fantastic shine. The bodywork in is superb condition, a far cry from the usual bodged up repairs seen on most examples. The chrome is in excellent order aside from some pitting to the door handle bases and even the original grille badge has remained mostly intact! Subtle reversible modifications give the van a brilliant stance so suited to this model. The ideal classic commercial and a dream promotional vehicle! INTERIORRevert back to far a simpler era of motoring whereby manufacturers were even meaner to commercial vehicle drivers and the luxuries of a passenger seat and heater were factory cost options! The original buyer of this example was willing for a passenger to be carried and cared that they stayed warm! Remarkably, the original seats remain fitted and are in good order with some tiny splits to the lower bases. The utilitarian nature of the vehicle is quite evident with the ethos being around having just what you need and nothing else, however the equipment and gauges it does have are in fine working order. The huge painted steering wheel and wand type gear stick are simply delightful. The load area has a rubber floor mat to protect and side mounted spare tyre with original style jack and brace. The inner load area panels and inner wheel tubs are in excellent condition. Hugely reminiscent of a bygone era of vans and immense fun! ENGINE & TRANSMISSIONThe four-cylinder side-valve engine with mechanical fuel pump is the epitome of simplicity and produces 36bhp at 4,500rpm. Parts availability is easy with many specialist suppliers catering for classic Fords, this van is perfect for the home workshop tinkerer! The engine starts at the pull of the knob and runs beautifully. The three-speed gearbox with synchromesh on second and third is easy to use after initial familiarisation. WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKESPressed-steel disc wheels are painted in matching Durham Beige with the original chromium hubcaps in very good condition. The tyres have plenty of tread with the front and rear measuring 165/70 R13 and 175 R13 respectively. A full suspension overhaul has just been carried out with evidencing invoices and the standard braking system incorporates 8in drums all-round requiring a firm stamp in comparison to modern equivalents! HISTORY FILERegistered new on the 11th July 1958, this example has had just three registered owners in 65 years! The first owner was a Mr Victor Gwyer who owned the van until 1983 and the two further keepers are traceable. The previous owner bought the van a number of years ago whereby it formed part of an impressive collection of mainly classic Fords including some very rare concours Escort Mk1 and Mk2 AVO cars. Vehicles in the collection are routinely scheduled for display in the main hallway and this Thames van was no exception! Guaranteed to draw in much admiration, this is the perfect and practical promotional vehicle for any business! The history file includes previous V5 documents as well as invoices and MOT paperwork. There is even a Thames 5 and 7-CWT sales pamphlet as well as a February 1959 Schedule of Maximum Repair Charges which instructs the reader to destroy the previous issue immediately! A lucky survivor having avoided the fate of many, this classic commercial is simply marvellous and great fun! MOT May 2024, Tax Exempt and HPI Clear. 1993 Ford Escort RS Cosworth Luxury by KGF Classic Cars, on Flickr SOLD / 01733 425140 / 07976 935046 / sales@kgfclassiccars.co.uk
A Big Turbo Ford Escort RS Cosworth Luxury with 24,716 miles and two owners.
MODEL HISTORY The Ford Escort RS Cosworth was a sports derivative and rally homologation special of the fifth generation Ford Escort. It was designed to qualify as a Group A car for the World Rally Championship. It was available as a road car from 1992-96 in limited numbers from Ford’s Specialist Vehicle Engineering, (SVE), team. It combines the hand-assembled engine expertise of Cosworth and the coach-building crafts of Karmann. In order to accommodate the larger Cosworth engine and transmission Ford developed the car around the chassis and mechanicals of its predecessor, the Sierra Cosworth. A very rare car with only 7,145 examples being produced and this one of the early 2,500 Big Turbo examples built for homologation. (Source Wikipedia, 1995 Edition One RS Brochure and the RS Owners Club).
EQUIPMENT Body colour front bumper with black lower splitter, louvred bonnet air intakes, wing air extraction grilles, aerodynamic rear wing with lower boot spoiler, electro-luminescent instrument cluster, oil pressure gauge, turbo gauge, voltmeter, quartz digital clock with ambient temperature, map reading lights, glove box illumination. Luxury Pack Equipment; Opening rear quarter windows, electrically operated and heated door mirrors, ‘Quickclear’ heated windscreen, heated washer jets, three-spoke leather covered steering wheel, central double locking, tailgate release, lights on warning, rear centre armrest, rear head restraints, sunroof, electric windows. Factory options; Leather upholstery, high specification floor mats. Accessories; Magnex stainless steel exhaust system, Sigma Category 1 alarm system, genuine Ford headlamp protectors.
EXTERIOR Finished in one of five launch colours, this gorgeous and rare Pacifica Blue, (Code J2), example has covered just 24,716 miles from new with two owners. Subject to ceramic coating treatment in 2023 at a cost of £1,200, the paintwork boasts a professional detailed shine from the smooth polished exterior with no imperfections worthy of mention other than some miniscule frontal stone chips. Early homologation features include the exposed petrol cap and larger door mirrors. All exterior trim, factory glass, rubbers and badges are in excellent order and the headlamps still wear genuine Ford headlamp protectors. The real wow factor comes with the underside which has been subject to the highest-level photo-documented detailing without loss of original features such as the hand-brushed black protective paint over the hand stamped chassis number. One for the Blue Oval fanatic and incredible in every respect.
INTERIOR The interior of this Luxury specification Escort Cosworth is a very special place to be. The perforated Raven Leather Recaro upholstery, (Code LW), is spotlessly clean and in amazing condition, very unusual for Ford leather! The cut-pile carpets are perfect and still protected by genuine Ford floor mats which are the ultra-rare high specification in deep blue to harmonise with the exterior finish. The comprehensive electro-luminescent instrument panel is all functional, as are all gauges and controls including the factory fitted 2007 radio/cassette. The boot area is pristine with areas of factory wax in hidden apertures. The factory fitted space-saver spare wheel and correct jack still wear the sculptured carpeted covers.
ENGINE & TRANSMISSION The powerful and well proven Cosworth 2.0 litre 16v turbocharged YBT engine features the larger Garrett T3/T04B turbocharger with a two-stage water/air and air/air intercooler together with an electronically regulated over-boost facility. Being an early car, it is also fitted with the desirable Weber-Marelli fuelling and ignition system. The blue painted cam cover denotes a number of significant changes over the older YBG unit of the Sierra RS Cosworth and power is quoted at 225bhp with 0-60 in 5.9 seconds and a top speed of 140mph. The engine bay is absolutely untouched with all factory labels and plates intact as well as the original head shield. The permanent Ferguson four-wheel drive system with 34/66% front/rear power split mated to a MT75 5-speed gearbox is light and direct.
WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES The design classic original 8 X 16” Ronal soft-spoke alloy wheels are in excellent order aside from a few minuscule marks to the untouched factory wheels. Matching premium branded and correct specification Pirelli PZero Asimmetrico 225/45 ZR16 tyres have masses of tread remaining. Electrically-controlled ABS anti-lock system with two microprocessors and ventilated front and rear discs offer immense stopping power.
HISTORY FILE Built at the Rheine Assembly Plant in Germany in November 1992 and registered new on the 15th January 1993, this example is one of the highly sought-after 2,500 large turbo homologation specials on a K registration. Supplied by Ford RS Dealer, Tony Brooks of Weybridge, their supplying dealership rear screen sticker and tax discs holder are still fitted and the book pack still has the staff business cards and dealer keyrings. The history file is quite phenomenal and thorough perusal of such would consume many hours! Beautifully presented in separate folders, there are masses of chronologically filed service invoices and virtually every MOT and the original service books holds 14 stamped entries. All servicing is fully up to date and the cambelt was changed in Jun 2022. Three original keys are present including the master blade.
A separate file holds RS Owners Club membership documentation and multiple agreed valuations, the most recent being £82,000 in 2021. The previous owner is an RS Owners Club member and was Vice Chairman of the Hertfordshire and North London RS Owners Club. Two magazines, Fast Ford and Practical Classics, have used this very car which was chosen for its amazing condition and provenance to feature in a detailed buyer’s guide. This rare example is exceptional in every respect and offers strong appeal for the avid collector and Ford afficionado alike. MOT June 2024, HPI Clear.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSIONThis car is in excellent mechanical order having covered such few careful miles. The engine is the 4-cylinder transverse OHV 1275cc unit which pulls strongly. With 50bhp, progress is nippy and running costs minuscule, thanks to excellent parts availability and economy. The unaltered engine bay is spotless and retains all factory plates and labels as well as the fragile and often perished paper stickers. The 4-speed all synchromesh gearbox with a diaphragm spring clutch is precise and changes gear effortlessly. If you have driven a mini before you will know it is pure fun and this example is no exception! WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKESImmaculate 12” white Minilite alloy wheels unique to the Italian Job are shod in matching premium brand Yokohama 165/60 R12 tyres with ample tread. The original Pirelli tyre is fitted to the spare which sits in the boot alongside the jack still in its shiny black plastic cover. The boot mounted battery has the correct fragile cover and retaining strap. The servo assisted dual line hydraulic brakes pull the car up quickly. Very responsive handling and manoeuvrability. HISTORY FILESupplied new by Mill Garages of Tyne & Wear on the 2nd August 1993, this exceptional example has covered just 9,080 miles from new and its condition and originality makes it worthy of any fine classic car collection. The grey A5 Mini folder contains business cards from staff members as well as all handbooks and the service book as well as both sets of keys. A separate large file is neatly organised with invoices and MOT certificates and even an original Mini Italian Job sales brochure. The previous owner took part in the famous London to Brighton run as well as many club events where he even made replica gold bars to place in the boot in recognition of course to the iconic film, The Italian Job. EXTERIORThis wonderful Microbus began life as an Australian Army bus and was sourced in its original Khaki Green from a dry state and specifically chosen for its superb structural condition. An expensive professional restoration now sees this bus presented in Volkswagen Alpine White over Birch Green. The paintwork boasts a stunning shine with uniform finish, a real eye catcher. The body panels are straight and in excellent condition. The painted bumpers are in superb order and all glass, lights and trim fully intact with just some light pitting to the driver’s door handle. The preserved underside and body have benefitted from a professional coating of preservative and cavity wax injection, a process not to be confused with amateurish undersealing. Having spent the majority of its life in a dry climate with salt free roads, this delightful bus is preserved in superb order. INTERIORAn ingenious and hugely practical interior is revealed upon opening the wide front 90-degree cab doors and huge slide loading door. The neatly designed and well thought out passenger compartment will comfortably seat 6 occupants with masses of leg and head room, whilst leaving the large roof high luggage compartment unimpeded. The cabin space offers space for three further occupants making this a hugely versatile 9-seater with seat belts. The seats, door cards, side panels and matching spare wheel cover are trimmed in original Dark Brown Leatherette PVC, (Code 68), which remains in very good order with no rips or damage. The factory build plates remain affixed to the driver’s door shut. The handsome head liner is clean and has a handful of very small holes/slits and the safety padded rear cab wall has some wear. All controls and functions operate well. With plenty of room for friends and family, this is the ultimate recreational classic or basis for a camper conversion. ENGINE & TRANSMISSIONThe 2.0 Type 4 engine as fitted to this example is perfectly suited to the T2 and is highly regarded for its impressive capabilities. The engine fires into life effortlessly and motorway cruising is surprisingly refined and far superior compared to smaller engine models. A vast program of modifications and improvements include, amongst many others; a full engine rebuild by Laurie Pettitt, a well-known engine specialist within VW circles, custom stainless-steel exhaust,123 ignition with electronic distributor and Twin 40 IDF Weber carburettors. The engine performance is superb with a surprising turn of speed and produces approximately 110bhp! The electric power steering conversion is a vast improvement. The clean engine bay reveals no leaks and even has the original Australian military maintenance tags attached to the inside of the engine lid. The fully synchronized 4-speed gearbox operates very well with upgraded Vintage Speed Classic Spot gearshift. WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKESStunning Porsche Fuchs style alloys wheels are virtually unmarked aside from one light abrasion to one spoke on the nearside rear wheel. Matching premium brand Bridgestone Duravis 185/65 R15 show plenty of tread. A dual hydraulic brake system operating front discs operate exactly as Volkswagen intended. HISTORY FILEThis 1977 example was registered in Australia and used as an army bus. In 2002 the vehicle came to the UK and the name “Eddie” was soon affectionately given to the bus due to the number plate prefix EDE. Previously sold by KGF Classic Cars to a couple who adored the bus so much that they created a YouTube channel for it! The channel, as seen if you click here, shows Eddie embarking on several adventures including various classic car shows whereby much admiration was shown. Wanting to expand the channel and show a range of classic cars, the difficult decision to sell Eddie has been made in order to make way for a more modern classic. A huge history file contains evidence of vast expenditure and details of the modifications to make this a real usable bus. The most recent service was carried out in May 2023. A useful guide and notes to assist the next custodian enjoy ownership immediately with accompanying photos too. KGF Classic Cars are delighted to have Eddie back ready for adventures with a lucky new keeper. MOT June 2024, tax exempt, HPI Clear. A time warp Mk1 Vauxhall Vectra 2.0i 16v LS with one owner and 33,164 miles.EQUIPMENTLaminated windscreen, green tinted glass with windscreen shadeband, safety crumple zones, rigid passenger safety cell, driver airbag, bodyside protection mouldings, colour coded bumpers, halogen headlamps, electric front windows, central locking, tilt/slide sunroof, Philips CAR400 stereo cassette, remote LCD stereo display featuring digital clock with time/date and external temperature gauge with ice warning, cigar lighter, illuminated glove locker, vanity mirror. Factory Options; Remote control ultrasonic security alarm system. Dealer Options; Vauxhall Mudflaps, Trafficmaster Oracle, Vauxhall carpet mats, Witter towbar with twin electrics, rear parking sensors. EXTERIORThis wonderfully nostalgic and very retro Vauxhall Vectra, a once common sight on UK roads and instantly familiar to many, is now seldom seen and this example is preserved in amazing condition having covered just 33,164 miles with one owner from new. Finished in factory original Flame Red, (Code L547), the paintwork boasts an incredible deep shine and beautifully polished finish. In line with the low mileage and strict garage storage, the body panels are preserved and pin straight. There is a touched in scratch to the lower nearside rear door, a small mark to the rear bumper and the Vauxhall front grille badge is slightly delaminated. The factory glass, Carello headlights and original supplying dealer number plates remain. A car to take you back to the ‘sales rep’ days of the 1990’s! INTERIORA spotlessly clean and period perfect Vauxhall interior is sure to delight fans of the Griffin badged cars! The original Traffic upholstery in Anthracite, (Code L98), is preserved with no undue wear to the fabric and seats bolsters are firm. The matching colour keyed door cards and headlining are pristine, and the fleece carpets are protected by tailored Vauxhall Dealer Sport carpet mats. All functions and controls operate perfectly including the Philips CAR400 stereo cassette and remote display with all pixels intact. Prominent natural veins to the steering wheel and gear knob are an obvious trait of such a low mileage example and even the gearstick gaiter has not degraded, almost unheard of for a Vauxhall of this era! The immaculate luggage area has the perfect carpet and parcel shelf and the side storage cubby has the original jack and wheel brace. Deliciously 90’s throughout! ENGINE & TRANSMISSIONThis Vectra LS features the desired 2.0i 16v ECOTEC-4 petrol engine developing 134bhp at 5600rpm and 188Nm of torque at 3200rpm. This well-maintained example with just 33,164 miles drives perfectly and the quiet yet free-revving engine is a delight. The engine bay is very clean, unaltered and displays original panel stampings, plates and stickers. The five-speed manual transmission is tight and precise. WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKESThe original 15in wheels wear the correct LS specification hubcaps which are in excellent condition. Matching branded 195/65 R15 tyres are fitted and have plenty of tread and the spare wheel still wears the factory fitted Continental tyre which has never been used. Featuring anti-lock braking (ABS) as per all models and with uprated size discs 288mm front and 286mm rear, correct for the 2.0i 16/2.5i V6 models, the brakes are well maintained and operate perfectly. HISTORY FILERegistered new on the 1st August 1997, this exceptional Vectra has covered just 33,164 miles from new with one owner. The car was supplied new by Vauxhall Main Dealer, Perrys of Preston, to Mr and Mrs Whiteside. The new vehicle order form confirms the price paid of £13,438.99 less part exchange allowance of £9,000 for their P registration Vectra 1.8i which Mr Whiteside decided was underpowered and wished he had chosen the 2.0 engine! The Vauxhall document wallet houses all handbooks, point of sale literature and the stamped service book as well as two original keys. The most recent service was in 2022 with approximately 200 miles covered since and the cambelt and water pumped were documented as changed in 2019 at 31,518 miles. A separate large folder holds many service and maintenance invoices as well as MOT records dating back to the first in 2000. There is even a 1997 Vectra range brochure! This beautifully preserved Vectra is a credit to its long-term custodian and offers capable, practical and comfortable retro motoring, a guaranteed hit at shows. MOT June 2024, HPI Clear.
