1987 Ford Sierra RS500 Cosworth by KGF Classic Cars, on Flickr FOR SALE / 01733 425140 / 07976 935046 / sales@kgfclassiccars.co.uk / Peterborough / £349,995
A Ford Sierra RS500 Cosworth with 9,180 miles and the same owner from new.MODEL HISTORYFive hundred extra special examples of the 150 mph Ford Sierra RS Cosworth went on sale in Britain on the 1st August 1987. This more powerful ‘evolution’ model was introduced to allow Ford to develop the original limited production run of 5,000 needed to allow the car to be homologated for International Touring Car Racing in Group A. Aston Martin at Tickford were assigned with converting the 500 cars and in addition to the more powerful 224bhp YBD engine, (with the potential to exceed 400bhp in race trim), numerous aerodynamic features were incorporated in the bodywork. These include a 30mm lip spoiler applied directly to the rear edge of the tailgate to increase rear downforce. New and larger cooling ducts were included in the design of the front bumper for the intercooler and the front brakes, as well as an aerodynamic splitter. Ford’s intention was for every RS500 to be finished in Black but limited stock of the regular Cosworths resulted in 56 Diamond White and 52 Moonstone Blue being converted. The vehicle was only available through 90 specialist Ford RS (Rally-Sport) dealers in Britain and was a £4,000 premium over a standard RS Cosworth. (Source: Ford News Release 87/76). This example is build number 404/500. EQUIPMENTBodyside mouldings, integral front air dam, electrically operated colour coded heated door mirrors, colour coded lockable fuel filler cap, single slot grille with bonnet cooling vents, halogen headlamps, single plane rear wing spoiler with trailing edge fence, lower tailgate mounted spoiler, tinted glass, wiper spoilers, tailgate wash/wipe, laminated windscreen, central locking with torch key, extended centre console, cigar lighter, quartz digital clock, fascia light dimmer, leather gear knob and three-spoke sports steering wheel, 3-speed heater fan, cassette storage, electronic sound system (Model ECU2) with power amplifier, electric aerial, Recaro Sports front seats, tilt and slide sunroof, tachometer with turbo boost gauge, trip recorder, Clear Hands warning lights, electric front windows, first aid kit, front fog lamps (not fitted but supplied). Dealer Accessories; Ford rubber mats EXTERIORThe dramatic exterior of this RS Cosworth is nothing short of magnificent. Finished in the rarest colour, Moonstone Blue, (Code K6 and just one of 52 made), the paintwork boasts a deep gloss shine from the first paint unrestored factory finish credentials complete with orange peel. All exterior trim and crystal clear lights are free from damage as is the vulnerable front splitter. The rare factory Glacetex tinted front screen has delaminated slightly at the edges and the blue oval Ford badges have minor aging to the chrome edge, all left to uphold absolute factory fitted perfection. The unique silver coachline and RS500 decals are present and original as are dealer supplied front and rear number plates. Date stampings are visible on key areas such as the inner wings, slam panel and tailgate but more remarkable are delicate stickers and PDI labels still attached in the wheel arches. The underside is sheer collectors heaven, perfectly clean, untouched and with all factory markings clearly visible. Even the alignment marks on the front subframe can be seen! A truly incredible car in astonishing preserved condition and a blueprint for any RS500. INTERIORFinished in Ford Roma Grey, (Code S2), the Recaro seats and carpeted door trims are in remarkable condition with no wear or discolouration and absolutely commensurate with the low mileage fastidious one custodian from new credentials. The driver’s seat bolster still has a soft velvet feel with perfect shape and the carpets are spotless protected by genuine Ford rubber waffle mats from new. All dials and gauges operate perfectly and show healthy readings and the dashboard is immaculate with no cracks or warping. The Beaumont cloth headlining has no sagging and even the red and green circular seatbelt buckle stickers and Recaro frame stickers remain attached! The boot area is factory fresh with a multitude of coloured floor pan stickers and marker pen inscriptions. It really does not get much better for any car, let alone an RS500! ENGINE & TRANSMISSIONThe sensational Cosworth YBD-Series 2.0 litre, 16 valve twin overhead camshaft, four cylinder, fuel injected, turbocharged and intercooled engine which in standard road use, (as per this example), develops 224bhp. Features over a regular Cosworth include a Garrett AiResearch T31/T04 turbocharger, twin fuel injectors for each cylinder, pressurised oil cooling for each of the engine’s pistons and a larger capacity oil and water pump. Expect 0-60mph in 6.2 seconds and a top speed of 153mph. The engine bay is incredible in its originality and condition and boasts all the correct engine and chassis identification numbers. All the stickers are original and even the fuse box cover is present and undamaged. Amazingly, untouched factory wax is still visible on the slam panel and the bonnet release catch still has the yellow PDI circular sticker! The gear changes are solid with progressive clutch action. WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKESCorrect and undamaged factory fitted 15 X 7 inch aluminium alloy (ATS) wheels with immaculate locking centre discs are shod in period Dunlop SP Sport D40 205/50 R15 tyres in excellent condition. The spare is the original and never used Dunlop SP Sport D40 205/50 VR15 tyre with Ford weights. Four wheel disc brakes with ABS and a hydraulic booster stop the car with confidence. HISTORY FILEIt is difficult to convey the amount and how comprehensive the history file is for this Ford Sierra RS500 Cosworth build number 404/500. Built December 1986 at the Genk assembly plant in Germany to arrive at the Ford appointed Aston Martin Tickford factory on the 23rd July 1987. Works completed and signed off, the vehicle was dispatched on the 5th August to Stormont Ford Merseyside Limited to be supplied to its one and only custodian, Mr McIntosh. The original Telex order sent by Mr McIntosh along with purchase correspondence from Stormont Ford confirms the purchase by himself for the vehicle to be registered on the 25th August 1987 to his company, Church & Bramhall Sections Ltd. Upon retirement in August 2002 the vehicle was registered to him personally. The new vehicle sales invoice reveals a price paid of £20,249.55 with a subsequent invoice for £332.48 for a Ford remote alarm, (now removed and replaced by a Thatcham Category 1 Toad alarm in 2011). Subsequently and without any doubt, Mr McIntosh was a fastidious owner retaining every document from Ford recall letters to regular service invoices and MOT certificates. This record keeping even extends to neatly filing every insurance cover note, tax disc and SORN letter. The history file not only confirms his care and upkeep for this pampered car but also his dedication for the RS brand by keeping annual RS Owner Club Membership letters and reaching milestone certificates and memorabilia for continual membership. Not one for public displays or shows, the vehicle was rarely seen out of his property but is obviously known and registered with the RS Owners Club. Such was his protection for the vehicle that when a house renovation commenced in 2022 and in fear of it being seen or worst still, damaged, he placed the car in secure temperature controlled storage locally. With the ongoing rise in values and public interest combined with poor health the very difficult decision was made to sell the vehicle and upon purchasing, KGF Classic Cars embarked on the Specialist Cosworth services of Harvey Gibbs at Supreme Car Services. A major service and cambelt change along with all fluids have been changed making the car A1 mechanically and ready for immediate enjoyment should the next lucky owner wish. Original badges and model designation are in excellent condition and the supplying Ford Main Dealer number plates and tax disc holder remain with even the very first 1983 disc still in situ! INTERIORThe standard Chelsea Crushed Velour trim in Peat colour scheme, (Code C 7), is a 1980’s time warp preserved in outstanding condition. HISTORY FILEManufactured in June 1983 and supplied new on the 1st August by Ford Main Dealer, Busseys of Norwich to Mr Dennis Vaughan. The car has had just two registered keepers in total with ownership passing to his son, Allen Vaughan, of same address in 2019. The history file is amazing with a huge file of paperwork spanning the entire life of the car and starting with the original purchase documentation. The vehicle order form and sales invoice are made out to the first owner and confirm the price paid of £6,222.89 less part exchange allowance of £1,922.89 for his 1979 Ford Cortina MK4 2.0S, clearly a Ford fan! The incredible history file includes the PDI checklist from the supplying dealer and receipts for accessories such as the headlamp guards and rear blinds. The leather facings to the seats and door trim are beautifully clean and the amazing comfort seats are perfect. The door cards to the offside have some shrinkage. The headlining is spotless and fully intact and the pristine carpets have been protected from new by carpet mats and additional winter over mats, both genuine Volvo accessories. The beautifully made fascia and switchgear is perfect and absolutely all interior equipment functions precisely as it should including the ice-cold air-conditioned climate control. The spotless boot area further emphasises how conscientious the owner was with a genuine Volvo boot carpet protector. An immensely comfortable and virtually perfect interior. ENGINE & TRANSMISSIONThe 2.5 litre 5-cylinder engine produces 144bhp and 206Nm rated torque to achieve a top speed of 121mph and 0-62mph in 10.6 seconds. The engine bay is immaculate in presentation and displays all factory plates, labels and stickers. The factory-optional automatic transmission is perfect in operation and features switchable sport, economy and winter modes. WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKESStandard steel wheels wear immaculate original vented wheel trims. The first owner even specified Volvo locking wheel nuts to protect the steel wheels which again show just how careful he was with his wife’s and his pride and joy. Brand new Uniroyal Rainsport5 tyres were fitted in September 2023 and have covered just 1,400 miles. This ever safety conscious Volvo features TRACS traction control and ABS braking with discs all round (ventilated to front). HISTORY FILERegistered new on the 24th November 1997 by Volvo Main Dealer, Avondale in Stratford Upon Avon, this S70 was registered to Mrs and Mr Richardson from new until 2023. KGF Classic Cars were approached by the owner in 2023 and upon seeing the car and the outstanding condition, it was clear this example was one of the absolute best and the car was immediately bought. Subsequently sold to a Volvo enthusiast who is so impressed by the brand that he has now part exchanged the car for a brand-new model and KGF Classic Cars were delighted to have the opportunity to buy this car back. The original service record has 15 stamped entries with the most recent carried out at 31,452 miles and the timing belt and V-belt were changed in June 2022 at 31,445 miles. The Volvo velvet document wallet holds the handbooks and there are two sets of keys with codes tags, remote fobs and dealer keyrings. A folder of supporting service invoices and MOT certificates completes the history file. When an owner specifies optional headlamp protectors, mud flaps, locking wheel nuts to protect steel wheels, two sets of mats, a boot carpet protector and a genuine Volvo spare bulb kit, it is abundantly clear that the car is to be extremely well cared for! Factory Options; Duo-tone paint. Accessories; Montego mud flaps front and rear, side coach line, 2X lounge cushions. EXTERIORRarely can a vehicle be described as factory perfect but this splendid Montego with only 2,193 miles from new is just that, perfect! Finished in striking and factory optional duo-tone paint Flame Red/Regent Grey, (Code RWN), it has a bright vibrant shine thanks to home garage storage and low dry weather use only. The moulded bumpers and claret bumper/side rubbing strips are straight with no damage and all trim, rubbers and badges are as new. One rear trim has a few minor stress fractures barely noticeable and all glass is unmarked. The underside, wheel arch apertures and all shuts remain beautifully clean still with factory wax applied. It is hard to imagine a better example to exist and this one is certainly for the perfection seeking collector! INTERIORThe elegant interior of this magnificent Montego offers amazing space and the contoured seats are superbly comfortable with hard and soft foams finished in Zenith, (Code LCG). The excellent console layout and clear instrumentation is all operational and there is no damage, cracks or lift to the colour-keyed facia. The moulded headlining is perfect as are the wood veneered inserts with no UV fading thanks to careful garage storage from new. The LXi specification includes many luxury features such as electric sunroof, windows and door mirrors and ingenious quirky features such as the 60/40 split folding rear seat doubling as a mobile office for the busy executive are all present! A huge 18.4 cu.ft boot has never seen a load and lifting the boot carpet reveals factory untouched perfection. Probably as close to a new Montego as feasibly possible? ENGINE & TRANSMISSIONThe 4-cylinder transverse OHC 1994cc engine with a three-way controlled catalyst produces 103bhp thanks to programmed ignition with electronic fuel injection. A top speed of 112mph and 0-60mph in 9.8 secs is quoted. The unit is eager, quiet and comes with a close-ratio transmission on the fuel-injected 2 litre petrol models. Progress through the gears is smooth and responsive and the exhibitionist will marvel how stunningly original under the bonnet is. WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKESSteel wheels measuring 14inch are graced with unmarked full width wheel trims with new 185/65 R14 Uniroyal RainExpert 5 tyres fitted in March 2024. The servo-assisted, diagonal split dual circuit system with ventilated front disc brakes and drums to the rear, offer assured straight line stopping power. HISTORY FILEWhat an amazing history. Registered by the Rover Group, Company Vehicle Sales, Canley Road, Coventry on the 27th May 1993. A national advert in the Daily Express from the Hartwell Group was spotted by Mr David Geere for Montego 2.0 LXi’s for £7999, the press cutting is included in the history file. Mr Geere is a big fan of the Montego and wanted to replace his 1986 2.0 HL that had covered 60,000 miles at the time. Knowing that Montego production was soon to end, he called the garage and spoke to the Car Sales Representative, Ted Noble, and posted a £100 cheque deposit along with a type written letter to secure a duo-tone Flame Red example with 24 miles from new. A copy of this letter is also included in the history file. This pre-registered example was transferred to Mr Geere on the 9th October 1993 and he has remained the only owner since! After collection he continued to use his ‘old’ Montego expecting it to go wrong, but it never did! As the years rolled by his ‘new’ Montego was rarely needed and became a relic used only for shows and national events and such is his dedication for the marque, he still owns the 1986 2.0 HL intended to be replaced which instead frequents the show circuit alongside this perfect example! Included in the history file is all the original dealer correspondence including the new vehicle purchase invoice, previous MOT certificates and invoices, all handbooks, manuals and two keys with dealer fobs. In March 2024 the vehicle had a major service to include all fluids, filters and a cambelt. Probably the best unrestored example with absolute provenance and miniscule mileage. Alternatively If you’d like to move your vehicle on quickly and efficiently with minimal delay then we can make an offer on an outright purchase basis with payment and collection arranged soon after.
A top spec Ford Fiesta Mk3 1.6 Ghia with one owner and only 8,567 miles.EQUIPMENTPolycarbonate colour coded bumpers with black insert, black bodyside mouldings, halogen headlights, laminated windscreen, driver’s airbag, Safeguard engine immobiliser, anti-theft alarm, central double locking with torch key, electric front windows, leather gear knob and leather bound sports steering wheel, tilt/removable sunroof, locking fuel filler, anti-burst locks, tailgate wash/wipe, heated rear window, remote door mirrors, digital clock, Ford self-seek model 2006 stereo cassette, tachometer, courtesy lighting, fully carpeted luggage compartment. Factory options; Metallic paint. Dealer accessories; Ford mud flaps, Ford all-weather rubber mats. EXTERIORWith a genuine 8,567 miles from new with just one owner, this top of the range Fiesta Ghia is an exceptional example throughout. Finished in factory optional Moondust Silver metallic, (Code 6 5), the paintwork has a gloss shine and all bodywork panels are pin straight. Meticulously scrutiny will detect a few minor imperfections such as a touched in chip to the bonnet edge and a tiny mark to the top of the driver’s door frame. All factory etched glass, lights and badges are superb and supplying Ford dealer branded number plates and rear screen sticker are fitted. The passenger weather strip has some minor undulations. The underside, wheel arch apertures and shuts are remarkably clean. An ultra-low mileage and beautifully presented modern classic Ford, once a common sight and virtually none have survived as well is this example. INTERIORA pampered garaged example having covered just 8,567 miles from new, the interior has no visible wear and the elements affecting outdoor stored cars such as sun fading and plastics tarnishing do not apply here! The plush Ghia cabin space with Spectrum fabric trim in Raven, (Code S G), is essentially as it sat in the showroom awaiting collection by the first and only owner. All trim sections, controls and switchgear have the new car feel which is lost soon after regular use and high use touch points such as the steering wheel, gear knob and pedals affirm the very minimal use. All functions operate flawlessly including the Ford self-seek model 2006 stereo cassette. The boot area is spotlessly clean and even the new car smell has been retained, instantly familiar as a Ford and ready to transport you back to a 1995 Ford showroom! ENGINE & TRANSMISSIONThe most powerful engine available for the Ghia is the 1.6i DOHC 16v petrol engine developing 89bhp and 134Nm maximum torque. A top speed of 110mph and 0-60mph is achieved in 10.4 seconds. Wisper quiet and eager to please thanks to 23 documented services, one every 372 miles on average! The clean engine bay has original plates, stickers and Ford panel stampings. The Ford jack and wheel brace remain fitted below the bulkhead. The 5-speed manual gearbox feels brand new! WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKESThe factory steel wheels of size 5 x 13in are in excellent order with the original Ghia full wheel covers fitted and almost immaculate with only tiny markings. Factory original Pirelli P2000 165/65 SR13 are fitted all-round including the unused spare with coloured banding and tyre nobbles intact will please originality seekers but should be replaced due to age only if the car is to be put into regular use. The servo-assisted diagonally split brakes with discs up front and drums at the rear pull the car up quickly and safely. HISTORY FILEThis wonderful example was registered new on the 31st May 1995 by Ford Main Dealers, Bristol Street Motors of Bromley. A new vehicle sales invoice is made out to Mrs Moth who is the first and only owner and confirms the price paid of £10,900.01. Despite the exceptionally low mileage, the car has been incredibly well maintained with the service booklet bulging with 23 stamped entries from the same garage who first began looking after the car in 1997! All servicing is up to date and a documented cambelt change has just been carried out in March 2024. The history file contains the original Ford document wallet with all handbooks, guides, security code cards and point of sale literature. A large folder holds service invoices and MOT records and there is an original 1995 Ford Range sales brochure along with two Ford keys. With just one owner and 8,567 miles from new, this preserved top of the range Fiesta is a highly collectable example of Ford’s iconic small car it has now dropped from its range. 1986 Ford Orion 1.6 Ghia by KGF Classic Cars, on Flickr SOLD / 01733 425140 / 07976 935046 / sales@kgfclassiccars.co.uk
Thinking of selling? Our proven commission sale or SOR (Sale or Return) program is a great way to utilise and access our professional services and facilities while still maximising the return from your vehicle with minimal hassle, stress and time, If you’d like to take advantage of this then please get in touch for further information. Alternatively If you’d like to move your vehicle on quickly and efficiently with minimal delay then we can make an offer on an outright purchase basis with payment and collection arranged soon after.
An astonishing Ford Orion 1.6 Ghia with just 21,991 miles from new.EQUIPMENTGrey bodyside mouldings with bright insert, polycarbonate body colour toned bumpers with bright insert, bright window surrounds, halogen headlamps, brown tinted glass, tilt/slide sunroof with louvred shutter, heated electric door mirrors, rear windscreen incorporated aerial, central locking, split-fold 60:40 rear seats, centre armrest, electric front windows, front and rear headrests, tachometer, quartz digital clock incorporating date and stopwatch, centre console with integral coin slots, cassette storage, cigarette lighter, FM cassette (ESRT 32PS) with joystick balance control, glove box illumination, boot light. Factory Options; Metallic paint. Dealer Accessories; Mud flaps, rubber mats. EXTERIORA true show contender, this Orion is finished in metallic and cost optional, Quartz Gold, (Code 1 5). A beautiful deep gloss finish has been preserved thanks to long term enthusiast ownership, garaged storage and very low miles. Incredibly, the car still wears original panels with date stampings and the underside is fabulous with a pleasing lack of excess applied under seal. All trim sections are in amazing condition and the Ghia badges to the boot lid and front wings remind the neighbours that this car exudes opulence! A virtually indetectable rub to the offside rear bumper corner and tiny touched-in chips to the bonnet are only found on meticulous scrutiny. All glass is window etched and both front Halogen headlamps are correct Carello items. The car retains its dealer number plates front and rear as well as the original tax disc holder and the rear screen sticker. A preserved example far superior to the vast majority. INTERIORTrimmed in luxurious Taupe Olivia cloth, (Code NE), with matching door panel inserts, the specialist materials unique to the Ghia model are pristine. Fully commensurate with the low mileage and cherished ownership, the interior is in outstanding condition even down to the internal door handles that are a common weak point and almost always heavily degraded. The coloured keyed cut pile carpet has been protected by genuine rubber ‘waffle’ floor mats from new. All switchgear is functional including the original stereo with joystick speaker control and the dashboard and other plastic trim completely undamaged. The boot area is immaculate including the spotless boot floor and spare wheel well. An unspoilt and pristine Ford retro interior. ENGINE & TRANSMISSIONThe 1.6 litre lean burn OHC 4-cylinder engine with a sequential twin venturi carburettor produces 89bhp allowing a top speed of 111mph and 0-60mph in 9.9 seconds. This very well-maintained example is in perfect running order with all servicing up to date and a cambelt change in 2020 with approximately 500 miles covered since. The car is standard apart from a stainless-steel exhaust fitted in 2002 whereby a bespoke system was designed carefully to retain the characteristic CVH rasp at a cost of £432. The engine bay is very clean and retains all factory plates, stickers and fragile paper labels long lost on most examples. The five-speed manual gearbox is a joy to operate and this lively car is great fun to drive! First registered on the 2nd March 2000 and supplied by Main Dealer, Lancaster Ipswich, this example has covered only 17,921 miles from new with just one owner, Mr Hallen. Mr Hallen first ordered an E240 Avantgarde from the same dealer in April 1999 with an accompanying invoice for £37,454. On arrival in June 1999 he was shocked to discover his new car did not meet his high expectations due to a paint imperfection and the dealer agreed to make good the issue. Still not satisfied with the repair, written correspondence confirms the dealer agreed to buy back his car at full purchase price and upgrade at cost to the new facelift E320CDI when it arrived the following year! Mr Hallen agreed and reordered, albeit with a higher specification, and was delighted with his new car enough so to cherish it for the next 24 years! A history file containing all service invoices, previous MOT certificates and documents are neatly filed in chronological order. A complete book pack in a pristine Mercedes black leather wallet still with Mercedes pen is included. A full set of keys are present with dealer leather key fobs. The vehicle has just had a full service in February 2024 using genuine Mercedes parts and oil. Quite possibly, the finest W210 specimen in existence. MOT February 2025, HPI Clear. An outstanding original Peugeot 205 Look with just 26,787 miles from new. EQUIPMENTSpecial edition ‘Look’ decals, load adjustable headlamps, 2 reversing lamps, rear fog lamp, laminated windscreen, heated rear window, tailgate wash/wipe, locking petrol cap, sunroof, full wheel covers, chrome bumper inserts, Clarion OFAD radio/cassette, interior courtesy lamp, sunvisors with passenger vanity mirror, glovebox, front door bins, fold down rear seats. Factory options; Metallic paint. Dealer accessories; Mud flaps. EXTERIOR This iconic supermini from Peugeot, largely credited for turning Peugeot’s fortunes around in the 1980’s, the 205 needs little introduction and indeed recently celebrated 40 years since launch in 1983. This incredible limited edition ‘Look’ has covered just 26,787 miles from new and remains original, preserved and unspoilt. Finished in factory optional Topaz Blue metallic, (Code M0LZ), the paint finish is in amazing order boasting a bright uniform finish. The critical eye will detect a few light touched in scratches mainly to the nearside front wing, quite insignificant. The ‘Look’ badges and decals are as new and all trim sections are fully intact. The underside is remarkably clean thanks to garage storage from new. Factory Peugeot Sekurit glass, supplying dealership rear number plate and rear screen sticker underline the time warp credentials. INTERIOR Fitted with the special edition ‘Look’ interior featuring Blue Stratos Tweed seat trim with matching door inserts, it is clear to see this low mileage example has truly been cherished. Terms such as ‘perfect’ and ‘as new’ are sometimes used loosely, however they are entirely justified in this instance. The upholstery is perfect with no wear whatsoever, and all interior trim is showroom fresh. The fascia is pristine and all controls and gauges operate seamlessly. Specially tailored ‘Look’ carpet mats are fitted too. The boot area is simply immaculate, with the painted under carpet area as new and the rear seat belt reel housings even have factory stickers still attached. Reminiscent of a 1990 Peugeot Talbot showroom car, this very special 205 is hugely nostalgic. ENGINE & TRANSMISSIONFabulous, fun and spirited, this 1124cc TU1 engine produces 53bhp and is a real delight to drive. Simplistic maintenance and excellent parts availability keep running costs to a bare minimum. The engine bay is very clean and displays all factory stickers and plates as well as 205 inner wing stamps, PDI markings and painted colour code. Even the factory hand applied rocker cover sign-off is still clearly visible! The 4-speed gearbox is light with a positive clutch action. WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKESThe original steel wheels still wear the factory full width wheel trims which are in very good order. Five branded 155/70 R13 tyres were fitted new in 2023 covering virtually no miles and the spare being unused. Split circuit servo-assisted brakes incorporating front discs and rear drums offer assured stopping power. HISTORY FILESupplied by Peugeot Main Dealers, Carrs of Castleford, on the 2nd August 1990, first lady owner cherished her pride and joy for 25 years, where upon her passing the car was transferred to her husband. Used sparingly as a second car, the Peugeot was always kept in a heated garage and had covered a remarkably low 25,802 miles from new when KGF Classic Cars purchased the car directly from the owner’s family in 2019. The car was subsequently sold by KGF Classic Cars to a Peugeot collector in Ireland, where by pure coincidence it has since made its way back to Peterborough and we were given the opportunity to buy the car back! All the handbooks contained in the black A5 folder remain with the car including the service book with nine stamped entries. The cambelt and water pump are documented to have been changed with less than 1,000 miles covered since and an engine service has been carried out in February 2024. Two sets of Peugeot keys, dealer keyring and the original key code tags are present as is a special edition 205 Look brochure. Named Car Magazine’s ‘Car of the Decade’ in 1990, the year this car was made, the Peugeot 205 was regarded as the benchmark for superminis for many years and this exemplary example is a fitting tribute to this accolade. An unmissable opportunity for the collector and avid Peugeot enthusiast, and perfect as a starter classic. If you wish to celebrate 40+ years of the 205 then seek no further than this beautifully preserved Look! MOT February 2025, HPI Clear. All interior trim is in amazing order with the only notable imperfection being a small crack to the left of the instrument binnacle. The engine bay is spotless and displays all factory stickers and plates as well as the faint painted colour code, scuttle chassis stamp and correct grey slam panel. The 5-speed gearbox is light with a positive clutch action and typical of small lightweight French cars of the era, this 205 is so much fun to drive! WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKESThe original steel wheels still wear the factory full wheel trims which are in very good order with no cracks and only very faint hairline scratches to two of the faces. Matching branded 165/70 R13 tyres were fitted in 2020 and have covered less than 500 miles. The underslung spare wheel sits in a bright white cage and still wears an unused factory original Michelin MXL tyre still with coloured banding! Split circuit servo-assisted brakes incorporating front discs and rear drums offer assured stopping power. HISTORY FILESupplied by Peugeot Main Dealers, Currie Motors in Surbiton on the 19th March 1993, the first owner cherished their pride and joy for 28 years and there have been just two enthusiast owners since. Used sparingly, the Peugeot has always been garaged and has covered a remarkably low 15,796 miles from new! The previous keeper housed the car alongside his Volvo 340 which has been in the family since new and a very rare Mary Quant Designer Mini! A cambelt and tensioner change was carried out in September 2023. All spare keys are present and a neat file holds MOT records, invoices and numerous period Peugeot 205 brochures including those for the Junior edition.
