1966 Mk1 Ford Cortina 4dr Standard Fleet Model by KGF Classic Cars, on Flickr FOR SALE / 01733 425140 / 07976 935046 / sales@kgfclassiccars.co.uk / Peterborough / £19,995
A Supreme Champion Mk1 Ford Cortina 4dr Standard Fleet Model with three owners.EQUIPMENTAll steel integral construction, safety glass all round, zero torque locks, sealed beam headlamps, childproof locks, Aeroflow ventilation, single-tone horn, safety steering wheel, padded armrests, speedometer, odometer, fuel gauge, main beam, ignition, temperature and indicator warning lights. Toggle switch for headlights and panel lights, choke control, ashtray. Factory Options; Heater and demister, front safety belts, passenger sun visor, anti-theft steering lock. EXTERIORThe stunning styling of the Mk1 Ford Cortina is still revered today and was Ford of Britain’s global success story. Finished in factory correct Purbeck Grey, (Code CH), this example has graced the show circuit having been the recipient of numerous MK1 Cortina Owners Club awards including winning the prestigious National Supreme Champion. The name Cortina is proudly on display on the bonnet and on the boot lid too in an elegant script style and the underside, wheel arches and all apertures are beautifully detailed. Distinguishing features of the Fleet Model are all clearly visible, (or not, due to their omission!), and include the body colour grille and extractor louvres on the rear roof for the Aeroflow ventilation system, normally chrome on De Luxe and Super models. Loved by just three owners, this car deserves all its success. INTERIORDelightfully basic and functional the interior is all immaculately presented. The PVC upholstery to the deep foamed filled seats finished in contrasting Ravenna Red, (Code B413), are unmarked. Incredibly the original door cards and plastic washable headlining are still fitted with some slight fading. Being a Standard Cortina Saloon Fleet Model the flooring has a rubber covering, no door operated courtesy lights and no opening front quarter windows. To further emphasise the simplicity of this rare model, the water temperature gauge has a pictorial gear selector diagram! The ornate deep dished safety steering wheel is unmarked and circular cowled instruments all function along with the optional heater and demister with instruction card still present! A proven class winner and obvious to see why. ENGINE & TRANSMISSIONHaving won so many awards onlookers will be amazed at the splendour of this immaculate example with the 1200cc engine sparkling clean and producing a healthy 54bhp. Simple, proven and robust mechanics combined with a fully traceable and comprehensive service record, will reassure the next proud owner. The original vehicle identification plate is still attached and the four-speed gearbox is light, precise and an absolute joy. WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKESPressed steel wheels with chrome unmarked hubcaps are shod in matching branded 145/80 R13 tyres with ample tread including the spare correctly recessed in the rear nearside wing. Front disc brakes and drums to the rear to a very good job of stopping the vehicle. HISTORY FILEWhat an incredible history file tracking this ultra-rare Mk1 Ford Cortina Standard Fleet model. Ordered on the 2nd May 1966 by Mr Clifford Chambers, a British Forces Headmaster posted at Johor, Malaysia through the Holly Motor Company Ltd as detailed on the new car invoice in preparation for his return to the UK. The Ford Motor Company Ltd Dagenham release document confirms the specification and delivery to Regent Street for UK first registration on the 22nd June 1966. Owned by Mr Chambers and his wife for the next 45 years and one Ford Cortina guru, James Clarke since 2011, this example has only had three owners from new in 57 years! In readiness for Mr Chambers next posting to Germany he also ordered continental headlamps, (now replaced with genuine Lucas items), and an anti-theft steering lock totalling £3.85! The car made a trip to Germany and the Townsend Car Ferries window sticker is still in the history file but continual tax discs from May 1967, MOT certificates and annual Ford main dealer servicing by Sparkes Garages in Bristol proves its UK home. Once Britain’s best-selling car, the Standard Cortina Saloon or Fleet Model was marketed by Ford as ‘offering outstanding performance with economy; the lowest cost car in its class. An ideal vehicle for everyday business or for the family man who wants maximum saloon-car space at minimum cost.’ Correctly identified by the BA72 chassis number the Mk1 Ford Cortina Owners Club have established this as one of just 34 UK Fleet Models known to exist. In comparison, 486 Lotus Cortina are known to the Club! Furthermore, the Club have confirmed only three 4dr Aeroflow cars are known to exist worldwide. (Source: Marc Gimmel - Cortina MK1 Register). Highly regarded within the Mk1 Cortina Owners Club and previously owned by James Clarke since 2011, (the once proud owner of a concours 2dr Fleet Cortina KGF Classic Cars also now own), this example has won National Supreme Champion and Best Rare Model along with many more awards. A file containing all invoices from new, every V5 including the original Buff Green Logbook are neatly filed with the cars Passport to Ford Service and handbook. Fully traceable history, rarity, low owners and a Supreme Champion, what fabulous credentials! MOT October 2024, HPI Clear. 1985 Ford Escort Cabriolet 1.6i XR3 by KGF Classic Cars, on Flickr SOLD / 01733 425140 / 07976 935046 / sales@kgfclassiccars.co.uk
Thinking of selling? Our proven commission sale or SOR (Sale or Return) program is a great way to utilise and access our professional services and facilities while still maximising the return from your vehicle with minimal hassle, stress and time, If you’d like to take advantage of this then please get in touch for further information. Alternatively If you’d like to move your vehicle on quickly and efficiently with minimal delay then we can make an offer on an outright purchase basis with payment and collection arranged soon after.
A fabulously original Ford Escort Cabriolet 1.6i XR3 with only 46,486 miles.EQUIPMENTBody-coloured bumpers with protective inserts, front spoiler, tape stripe, wheel arch air deflectors, body-coloured door mirrors, black fast folding fully insulated vinyl roof with glass window, hood cover, integral black roll bar, remote door mirrors, heated rear screen, folding rear seats, lockable glovebox, wind-down rear quarter windows, door stowage bins, cigar lighter, quartz digital clock, coin box, tachometer Ford SRT 32P radio/cassette, with four speakers and joystick control. Factory Options; Driving lights. EXTERIORA clean, original and beautifully presented example of a rare sporting hot cabriolet with the iconic XR3i factory specification whereby 80% of the Cabriolet bodyshell panels were either new or modified to maintain strength and eliminate rattle when new. Finished in iconic Diamond White with a Black vinyl roof, (Code BA3), the finish is uniform throughout with a deep shine and only a small area on the nearside front wing where the original paint has worn thin due to overzealous polishing. The soft-top roof in excellent condition with no creases or even cracking on fold lines and hood cover present. The panels on this example boast factory fitment with date stampings clearly visible and the underside is free from underseal allowing easy inspection and revealing excellent structural integrity and no repairs. All glass is number plate etched including the hood glass and Ford dealer plates are fitted. The front and rear Ford oval badges have some minor aging. A prime example of a FastFord. INTERIORWith seating for up to five people this model remains both a fun and practical option of open-top retro motoring. The supportive sports seats trimmed with Monza and Crushed Velour fabric with Blue detail, (Code HV), are in remarkable condition and the colour keyed shark grey cut pile carpet retains a fullness with no damage or wear. Incredibly and rare for a Mk3 Escort, the dash has no cracks or distortion and the standard Ford SRT 32P radio/cassette works along with the roof mounted digital clock! The sports three spoke steering wheel still has natural veins visible thanks to the low miles and all controls and all interior instrumentation, switch gear and ventilation operate correctly. The door shuts are spotlessly clean and the boot area still has factory PDI stickers attached. Truly beautiful and Ford perfection. ENGINE & TRANSMISSIONA delightfully crisp, responsive and free-revving 1.6 OHC (CVH) engine with Bosch K-Jetronic fuel injection produces 105bhp. The engine bay presentation is excellent with original factory stickers, labels and markings and would please the exhibitionist attending classic car shows. The five-speed gearbox engineered to combine vivid acceleration with fast, frugal cruising is smooth and has benefited from a recent clutch replacement. WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKESExcellent sports alloy wheels with a few tiny marks are of the iconic Cloverleaf design with the Ford logos and part numbers clearly visible. Recently shod in premium matching Dunlop Sport Response 185/60 R14 tyres have covered just 500 miles. The diagonally-split dual-line servo assisted brakes stop the car quickly and safely. HISTORY FILERegistered new on the 10th April 1985 by Ford main dealers, Hanger of Birmingham, to a Mrs Goode, this particular sporting 1.6i Cabriolet sold for a premium £9,348, some £1,923 more than an XR3i! An A4 file of history is organised in chronological order containing invoices, MOT certificates, MOT Inspection Reports and general expenditure throughout the cars life. All handbooks are included along with the original service book with early stamped history and two keys are present. Sold by KGF Classic Cars to the previous owner in June 2021, the car has covered just 500 since and has been serviced three times and had a cambelt change within that time! This car will appeal to the retro car lover and Blue Oval collector alike looking for one of the finest, original and useable examples. MOT June 2024, HPI clear. ENGINE & TRANSMISSIONThe legendary four-cylinder overhead camshaft Mercedes-Benz engine is renowned for uncompromising refinement and reliability, with this impeccably maintained example being the embodiment of that reputation! Displacing 1996cc and producing 122bhp, a top speed of 119mph and 0-62mph time of 11.5 seconds is quietly and comfortably achieved. The engine bay is beautifully clean and displays factory labels, VIN tag and build data plate. The optional four-speed automatic transmission is effortless and delivers a beautifully smooth and relaxed driving manner. WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKESFactory standard 15” light alloy wheels with the eight-hole design are in near perfect condition with no curb damage and only tiny scratches around some of the wheel stud holes, barely visible. The Mercedes three-pointed star centre caps are perfect. Quality matching Barum (by Continental) 185/65 R15 tyres have ample tread remaining and the spare wheel remains shod in the factory fitted Michelin MXV rubber which has never been used. Dual-circuit power brakes with anti-lock (ABS) assistance bring the car up to a straight and steady halt. HISTORY FILEFull Mercedes-Benz Main dealer and marque specialist service history and only 79,699 miles from new with two owners, this example has been beautifully kept in every aspect. First registered on the 19th August 1992 by Mercedes-Benz Main Agent Robinsons, Dick Lovett of Swindon, the vehicle returned to them for annual servicing seven times until 1999 with corresponding stamped entries in the service booklet. Thereafter, a further 22 stamped entries for servicing are by Mercedes-Benz specialist Keys Bexleyheath who have looked after the car to date, a total of 29 service entries! The most recent service in 2022 has seen approximately 300 miles covered since. A separate large folder holds paperwork pertaining to servicing including a detailed maintenance log and previous MOT certificates. There are two sets of keys, the spare still in the leather MB fob, and an original 190 range brochure, specification sheet and price list. A meticulously maintained, unmolested and cosseted example. A meticulously restored Helios Blue Mk1 Volkswagen Golf GTi Campaign Edition.EQUIPMENTRadiator grille with Mars Red ornamental surround and GTi inscription, front spoiler, air blade on driver’s wiper, silver side stripes, wider black wheel arches, laminated windscreen, internal door mirror adjustment, intermittent wash/wipe, cigar lighter, front door pockets, golf ball gear knob, MFA on-board computer, fuel economy gauge, twin tone horn, rev counter, trip mileage recorder. Campaign Package of Equipment – Option S707; Factory sliding steel sunroof, green tinted glass all round, twin headlamp grille with vertical serrated lines in lens, ‘Valve Tap Cap’ style petrol cap with spring loaded cover and black inner bezel, black plastic A-pillar trims, leather bound steering wheel, slimline dimpled door lock pins. Option code S750; Pirelli P-Slot 7mm gap alloy wheels (Code A), Pirelli inscription centre caps. Dealer options; Genuine Golf rubber over mats. EXTERIORThis cult-setting Mk1 Volkswagen Golf GTi Campaign Edition boasts ultra-rarity in being finished in factory correct Helios Blue Metallic, (Code LA5Y). Helios Blue was never an official Mk1 Golf colour option but instead was a Mk2 Golf colour, however a handful of run-out later Mk1 Campaign’s were made in Helios Blue. The subject of a meticulous and no expense spared full restoration, the car is simply outstanding and the work even extends to the beautifully restored and detailed underside. Massive expense has been incurred and wherever possible genuine NOS Volkswagen parts have been used including even a genuine Volkswagen aerial grommet fitted if the first owner did not specify a dealer fit radio! Attention to detail is mind-blowing even down to the correct vertical serrated lines in front lamp lens and the lack of rear window matt black surround, correct for only Helios Blue and Black cars. Supplying dealer branded number plates, rear screen sticker and tax discs holder further add to the accuracy of this restoration. Look no more for a prime Helios Blue example. INTERIORBody-hugging reclining sports seats finished in iconic Black/Silver stripe design, (Code KM), are in remarkable condition with no wear to the fabric or deterioration to the seat structure. The matching black headlining perfectly clean and intact. The carpeting, door cards and all other interior trim sections are preserved. The correct smaller door lock pins with indent to the top and the leather-bound steering wheel are Campaign specific and further uphold the true correct identity. The pristine fascia is undamaged and houses a fully functional MFA digital computer. A spotless boot area houses the full-size alloy spare and an unmolested rear parcel shelf complete with genuine rubber hangers. A genuine NOS boot carpet and underfoam have been sourced and a Helios Blau Metallic sticker and tyre changing warning sticker remain. Importantly the original build label sticker remains detailing all the correct features this car still displays. A classic retro hot hatch interior. ENGINE & TRANSMISSIONThis desirable car is in tremendous mechanical order and really boasts what Mk1 GTi ownership should be about - marvellous fun and sheer driving pleasure! The 1800cc fuel injected engine produces 112bhp at 5800rpm and 109lbs.ft of torque at 3500rpm, enough to sprint to 60mph in 8.2 seconds and achieve 114mph. The detailed engine bay is pure exhibition standard and spotlessly clean displaying all the correct chassis numbers for a Campaign model. The 5-speed sports gearbox is tight. It is easy to understand how this car started the hot hatch phenomenon. WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKESThis superb Golf GTi is fitted with the unique, Campaign only, and highly desirable 6J x 14 Pirelli alloy sports wheels with correct larger ‘P’ cut out sections and smaller 7mm gaps. All wheels remain in pristine condition and wear correct and virtually impossible to source Pirelli inscription centre caps that differ to the plain items found on the Mk2 GTi ‘P-Slot’. Correct specification Pirelli P600 185/60 R14 tyres are fitted all round including the spare. The servo-assisted diagonally divided dual-circuit braking system feature front discs and drums to the rear. HISTORY FILERegistered with a correct ‘A’ prefix for Campaign models on 20th October 1983 by Volkswagen Main Dealer, Euro Canterbury, this rare Helios Blue example has undergone an incredible program of restoration which has been fully documented with eye watering documented invoices to prove. The standard of craftmanship and attention to detail is exemplary and the two huge history folders portray the cost, time and effort born by previous owner of 11 years who commissioned the project. A true VW enthusiast who purchased one brand new and struggled to find a good one to relive his youth, decided to purchase the very best Helios Blue car and make it brand new! Two immaculately presented history files include masses of receipts, invoices and MOT documentation pertaining to pre and post restoration. The vast expenditure incudes many genuine NOS Volkswagen parts. The original V.A.G Service book pack holds the service book and all handbooks with dealership point of sale literature. In every respect, this is a stunning example of the highly sought after Mk1 Volkswagen Golf GTi Campaign Edition. MOT April 2024, HPI clear. A huge specification car that has been garaged from new, this example is simply outstanding finished in factory optional Aqua Pearl Metallic, (Code 431). The bodywork is arrow straight and the 100% original paint boasts a stunning uniform finish throughout. Meticulous scrutiny reveals nothing other than a tiny scratch to the driver’s door mirror and a few carefully touched in frontal stone chips. The underside is perfectly preserved and reflects the garage storage and general dry weather usage as a second vehicle ‘for best’. All trim sections, glass and rubber are perfect and genuine Volvo headlamp protectors remain fitted. The supplying Volvo main dealer number plates and rear screen sticker are also still fitted. Descriptive terms such as ‘pristine’ or ‘showroom condition’ are often misused, but in this instance are entirely suitable. A stunning car. INTERIORThe exceptional interior of this luxury Volvo is simply immaculate. Trimmed in original Arena Leather, (Code 3990), the upholstery is upgraded as part of the expensive factory optional Luxury Pack. The leather facings to the seats and door trim are beautifully clean and the amazing comfort seats are perfect. The door cards to the offside have some shrinkage. The engine bay is immaculate in presentation and displays all factory plates, labels and stickers. The factory-optional automatic transmission is perfect in operation and features switchable sport, economy and winter modes. WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKESStandard steel wheels wear immaculate original vented wheel trims. The owner even specified Volvo locking wheel nuts to protect the steel wheels, which again, shows just how careful he was with his wife’s and his pride and joy! Brand new Uniroyal Rainsport5 tyres have just been fitted in September 2023. This ever safety conscious Volvo features TRACS traction control and ABS braking with discs all round (ventilated to front). HISTORY FILERegistered new on the 24th November 1997 by Volvo Main Dealer, Avondale in Stratford Upon Avon, this S70 has been registered to Mrs and Mr Richardson from new. The car has covered just 31,630 fully verified miles from new and remains in totally original and pristine condition. The huge specification and optional extras consist of many protective and preservative items specified by the owners in order to keep the car in prime condition. The careful and dedicated ownership is entirely evident in how the car looks and feels inside and out and the way it drives, truly superb. The original service record has 15 stamped entries with the most recent carried out in November 2022 at 31,452 miles and the timing belt and V-belt were changed in June 2022 at 31,445 miles. The Volvo velvet document wallet holds the handbooks and there are three sets of keys with code tags, remote fobs and dealer keyrings. A folder of supporting service invoices and MOT certificates completes the history file. When an owner specifies nearly £4,000 of factory extras plus accessory headlamp protectors, mud flaps, locking wheel nuts to protect steel wheels, two sets of mats, a boot carpet protector and a genuine Volvo spare bulb kit, it is abundantly clear that the car is to be extremely well cared for! First sight of this beautiful example will reveal just how special it is. MOT September 2024, HPI Clear. EXTERIOR The ultimate evocation of nostalgia for the Max Power Generation is this amazing Ford Orion Zetec Turbo which has been the subject of full magazine features in both FastFord and Performance Ford. This stunning Orion is finished in deep cherry red having been subject to a full repaint in 2014. The paint finish is uniform with a deep shine while the critical eye will note some signs of wear in particular cracks to the paint on the front bumper and rear spoiler, very light paint blebs throughout visible only on close inspection and some dings. The sunroof is fully operational and all glass and light fittings are intact. The underside is very solid with no structural issues. The car looks fantastic and is very highly regarded within the retro Fast Ford community and Orion Register. INTERIOR A somewhat purposely understated interior with subtle hints towards the epic power specification this Orion boasts! The upholstery is courtesy of an Orion Ghia Injection including seats and doors cards and front RS Turbo Recaro seats professionally re-upholstered to match. The seats are in good condition and the huge bolsters to the Recaro’s firm and unworn. The carpets and headlining are clean and genuine Ford rubber waffle mats are fitted front and rear. The dashboard is free from cracks and the retro Fast Ford attributes include Infinity speakers with sub and neatly fitted oil and boost pressure gauges. The RS 4-spoke steering wheel looks superb. Perfectly comfortable and usable with some delicious 90’s themed features! ENGINE & TRANSMISSION The engine has been professionally built and mapped to a huge specification by renowned Harvey Gibbs Cosworth Specialist of Supreme Car Services in Peterborough. The previous owner of 13 years, Pete, was adamant the car would be driven and enjoyed yet was insistent on longevity and the reliability of an everyday car. His primary goal was to ensure the car took him without demur to Ford Fair each year and to never be one of the bonnet-up classic Fords seen in the traffic jams approaching the Silverstone event! To this end the engine speciation is capable of huge power increases yet is currently Dyno-Tested at around 200-220bhp, still more than twice the original output from what started life as an Orion 1.3L! Putting this power down is through an RS Turbo LSD gearbox. A totally exhilarating driving experience and utterly dependable. WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES Compomotive MO5 7½ x 16" alloys wheels are in very good order and wear 195/45 R16 Toyo Proxes performance tyres with masses of tread. Sapphire Cosworth front brakes with braded hoses and RS Turbo rear drums are well capable of harnessing the increased engine power. HISTORY FILE Registered new on the 15th December 1989, this Ford Orion began life as a humble 1.3L of which it remained until around 2010. The previous owner of thirteen years, Pete, purchased the car as a weekend toy and project car to go alongside his daily transport, a 1988 Orion 1.8 diesel! Over the past thirteen years Pete has embarked on a mission to build the ultimate Orion Turbo for which his efforts have won the car multiple page features in both FastFord and Performance Ford. The build has been fully documented and a photo album shows the car throughout the various stages up to the present day and the full specification is carefully recorded. The comprehensive folder of invoices, photo album and magazines are included in the history file and the cost to create this retro car is beyond belief! Not meeting the usual KGF Classic Cars stock profile in terms of condition one credentials and a wide deviation from standard, but not detracting from the cars overall excellent attributes, we are offering this example for sale on a part exchange to clear basis. The car looks superb and performs as such and represents huge Max Power nostalgic fun. Ready for immediate enjoyment with a full 12 months MOT. There are two sets of keys. Full inspection and test drive is welcome. MOT August 2024, HPI clear. The car was always garaged and it sat alongside the owners original Volvo 145 also virtually owned from new! In 2008 the car was placed into long term dry storage owing to the owner ceasing driving and has been recently brought out whereby it still wore its factory fitted Uniroyal tyres. A complete recommission has been carried out to all mechanicals, fluids, brakes and fuel system so the car is now ready to enjoy on the ever popular retro car scene!

EXTERIORThis Type 2 Low Light Dormobile is a genuine factory conversion from new with the original Dormobile Ltd. Folkstone registration plate affixed to the nearside fascia providing authenticity along with the original purchase invoice. Finished in Pastel White, (Code 90D), this remarkable Dormobile wears all factory fitted panels and displays vast areas of original paintwork which is quite incredible. Some professional remedial paintwork has been carried out to an exceptional yet sympathetic level and the overall appearance is truly beautiful. The level of originality that has been preserved is frankly breathtaking and extends to the glass and headlamps all etched with the vehicle registration, all original badges throughout, original number plates, sliding door closing instructions, inner fuel flap labels and factory Dormobile stickers to the rear as well as the Dormobile model D4/6 label to the nearside cab door. The pop-up roof is the original Red/White stripe fitment fully intact with no holes but some age-related fading. A marvellous unspoilt example. INTERIORThe perfect compromise between originality and modern functionality. The cab area still boasts factory seats, door cards and floor covering as well as all interior exposed paintwork original with some light aging. Expensive Wolfsburg steering wheel and Empi gear shifter are fitted with the originals retained. Loose fitted hessian floor covering and dash top covers co-ordinate perfectly. The Dormobile registration plate and factory build plates remain fitted as does the paint code label and interior warning labels. The original Blaupunkt radio is fitted but inoperative. The camping area has benefitted from an expensive interior refit from Van Wurks of Oldham as detailed in the above specification. The interior is pristine with zero use and the standard of fitment and installation seamless. Traditional meets modern with full leather seat coverings and traditional style cabinets yet LED lighting and top of the range modern appliances. The original pop-up roof operates effortlessly and the factory supplied children’s hammocks are fully intact. ENGINE & TRANSMISSIONThe four-cylinder flat four air cooled engine with a capacity of 1600cc produces 50 bhp and is a mechanical delight with fastidious maintenance using correct grade oils and quality parts. The engine bay is unrestored with some welcome aging and the chassis and engine numbers are clearly visible to match that of the service booklet confirming matching number credentials. The fully synchronized 4-speed gearbox performs exactly as it should. A clear separation from the majority of modified and bodged examples often seen, this is Type-2 performance at its best! WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKESThe steel wheels are in pristine condition with the addition of high-quality Wolfsburg chrome hubcaps and outer rings. Matching quality Toyo van-rated 195/75 R14C are fitted all-round. A dual hydraulic brake system incorporating dashboard warning light and front self-adjusting discs operate exactly as Volkswagen intended. HISTORY FILEThis UK example was registered new on the 1st June 1971 by supplying Volkswagen Main Dealer, Birch’s Garage Ltd in Cambridge. Incredibly just three owners and 53,972 miles from new, this very special Dormobile was a factory conversion from new rather than one which was carried out retrospectively. The first owner, a Mr R.C. Cain Esq, purchased the vehicle and paid £1,401 as evidenced by the original order form, sales invoice and payment docket which remarkably have all been kept! Mr Cain loved the Dormobile for 30 years with strict dry storage and dry day usage was paramount and there is even a detailed maintenance log spanning from 1979 to 2000. On recommendation from a friend and fellow Volkswagen fanatic, the second owner approached Mr Cain in 2001 and agreed a deal to buy the vehicle and found that it was every bit as original and incredible as he as been promised. In the hands of the second owner for 19 years, there has been just one change of keeper since. A vehicle history file makes for wonderful perusal and includes the service record, handbook and very rare VW diagnostic coupon booklet! A Volkswagen Camper and Commercial magazine feature from 2014 featuring this Dormobile not only covers six pages but is also even the centre fold poster! Without question one of the best Type 2 example in existence and seldomly available to the open market. Buy it while you can. MOT August 2024, Tax Exempt, HPI Clear.
