The Manta was recovered, turns out the guy selling it had bought it "in good faith", and actually knew the guy who it was stolen from! He lost whatever he paid for it, the dodgy scrap guys he bought it off weren't traced as far as I know.
I'd find it very hard to believe that it's not the same car - it even has the same whitewall band tyres!!!
From the point of view of prosecutions etc, a civil prosecution requires far less proof (balance of probability) than a Crown prosecution (beyond all reasonable doubt) - perhaps that is the way forward?
