Low-life, sock-cooking, bunch of crafty butchers.
As is anyone who carries out any such form of theft. However, I really worry that they way we react to this is not going to help us at all.
I've said it before, all we do is raise the game and the people who commit these acts will continue to do so because they see it gets a reaction, just like how the proverbial school bully's mind works.
Throwing blanket accustaions at the whole sport will not help. Likewise would you have been happy to be called a low-life, sock-cooking crafty butcher because you are part of the scene where this happens?........
I think we all know that these two pics ^^ are the same car
Do we know who the banger driver is (Matt someone I guess)?
I still find it hard to believe that anyone has the audacity to steal someones pride and joy, and then openly race / banger it in front of people - and most of the time not actually try and disguise it.
Without starting another political debate about people who participate in banger / oval racing, I feel sorry for the possible 5% of races who don't partake in this behaviour who are getting 'tarnished with the same brush'..........surely they'd want something done about this situation?
I think it's more than just PC that need to be informed of this situation - surely all like-minded magazines (Performance Ford, RCM, VW World etc) need to be informed of this preposterous behaviour?
Apart from inserting several swear words here - I think I've said enough.
I like long walks, especially when they're taken by people I don't like.
I am definately not tarnishing the whole banger community, however a previous work colleague was very heavily into the banger scene, and admitted that he was aware of many stolen cars being bangered, once the valuable parts had been stripped and sold.
Does it say 'altrincham skip hire' on it? Robbed from Didsbury you say, so about 5 miles away? I wonder.....
Where were they racing then Belle Vue?
I don't really want to comment but what i do know, is every yank enthusiast seems to know every other yank in the scene, or close. So I'd like to know where this one came from, plus look how solid it it! Even after! Alister only has to look at his and bits are rotting off, to me, from pics thats a solid usable yank. all i'm saying.
What a pity
Edit: oh buxton, close enough huh.
Those tyres make it too much of a match for me....
Just think, that was probably bought years ago by some Japanese banker or doctor. Hard to tell since it has been repainted, but that honestly doesn't look much like a banger to me. Just seems like such a waste, unless it was absolutely rotten. It's RWD! I would rather the drift community or someone having it.
As for the Plymouth, what can I say but it doesn't surprise me one bit. Sickening.
I'm passing info over to the MMA forum, one of the mods on there is a mate of the guy whos car it was. I'lll see if theres any info back. For all I know the gold car could have been recovered and this is some other vehicle, however, I am not hopefull.
We can't be 100% that this is the car (unless the owner knows something), I think the tyres and the steering wheel are a clue but I suspect that they would be standard fitment anyway. The lack of roof bars makes we wonder.
Either way, I don't think we'll achieve anything with another thread slagging off the banger racers. Do we have any policemen on the board who knows of anyone who might be interested in this?
