Part of my latest Ill thought out purchase, is a pair of cheapy mamba bucket seats, been stored outside for years, but scrubbed up quite well. Problem is they have faded badly, they're covered in a fleece type material, Any suggestions for best ( cheapest ) products to dye them back to dark grey/black Ttfn Glenn

3rd stage looks like a lubricator ? You put water in it to add moisture to the air you are breathing If anyone is interested, that is the entire instruction manual Ttfn Glenn

My Amazon special arrived, everything appears in order, not tried it out properly yet but seems to fit well to my face. There is a couple of minor gripes, the belt is too short, or I am too fat, and it has arrived with pcl connectors and I am set up using uni Closer view of the mask Close view of the filter assembly Ttfn Glenn

More rubbing down has happened, plus a sneaky marketplace purchase of a pickup roll bar. This will need quite a bit of cutting and shutting, to fit will need narrowing by about 8 inches, plus extending to reach the floorpan Starting to like the distressed patina look, still planning on painting it blue though Ttfn Glenn

... a jetski or outboard motor in something... snowmobile engine!!!! I've thought about this waaay more than is sensible. The snowmobiles are a much better shout as they haven't been exposed to salt water for cooling and usually have a CVT attached. A 2 stroke triple with a a CVT in a retro dirt bike frame was my idea of a lethal contraption. Thankfully snowmobile engines are fairly hard to come by over here My idea would be something like this www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/458957782608963/Using either a pre unit brit bike trans and clutch or a harley big twin trans 3 cylinders would be good, nice and compact but how about the v6 and v8 motors? Theres one in a drag car somewhere Found it www.carexpert.com.au/car-news/this-v8-volvo-uses-a-two-stroke-home-made-boat-engine-and-it-sounds-nutsTtfn Glenn

Do miss having some ring a ding in my life, keep having odd thoughts of joining a few of those bicycle engines together for additional power and sounds, then my mind wanders to using a jetski or outboard motor in something, then sensible head takes over and says no Something like this maybe
But that is a snowmobile engine!!!! Ttfn Glenn

Could dress the section of angle down a bit. My over engineering would be to weld the tube sections to the angle to make it a less fiddly job.. The spacers are meant to avoid the need for any extra work up inside the body. There isn't any space for tools, and access isn't good. I know hindsight is a wonderful thing, but wouldn't it be better to cut out a fix the offending angle, rather then keep trying to work around the problem? Ttfn Glenn

Bsp sizing refers to the bore of the pipe, so 1/2 inch bsp refers to the inner size, being 1/2 inch Ttfn Glenn

It’s a thread file. I have a couple here of different flavours. 😃👍 Glen beat me to it I might even have a couple somewhere Beat me to it also, I did have one but haven't a clue where it is. Usually use a triangular file or hacksaw blade, to clean up damaged threads Ttfn Glenn

Pulled the zzr1100 out of the van and into the shed. Had put the battery on charge in the faint hope it might have some life left. Amazingly it took and held a charge. Stuck the starter wires on it, and it spun over, Borrowed my friends compression tester to see if the engine was worth putting any effort into. All pretty good, the lowest was 110 psi, not spectacular, but for an engine that has been living under a tarp not unexpected, Once up and running should recover Also been helping son with getting his 550 katana motor back together, barrels and pistons back on, now he can go through the cylinder head. Start with giving it a clean Ttfn Glenn
