polite word with the driver saying the pub cctv/next door neighbor etc caught a freelander hitting your car last week, see if theyl settle to some kind of arrangement as a pose to reporting them for leaving the scene of an accident.
reality that you don't have footage doesn't matter if it curse word them up enough to make them pay up. assuming it was them that is!

yeah I'm lucky enough where i am theres quite a few lpg stations, I'm only running a t5 v70, but without it, i couldnt afford to.
and i think you can make a diesel sound quite cool, itd have to be a turbo, but that doesnt mean modern!

lpg gas conversion and a v8, u get the noise, 70p a litre fuel. no diesel will ever sound as good as a petrol v8

what a good story with a not as good ending!
however, driver/co driver got out okish by the sounds of things, and the car died doing something it was built to do, I'm sure its no consolation, but at least it was being used, and it didnt get pinched out of some private collection where it never saw dirt.

ive got a manual capri pedal box from a 2.0,(was type 9 5spd) you would ave to use a cable with a physical adjuster on it as a pose to a later one with a ratchet, but as far as I'm aware itd work for a 2.8 or 2.0.
20quid + whatever pnp costs if its any use. send us a pm.

yeah, I'm sure you could make a few extra quid back on ebay listing individual parts, but for the sake of 100quid over 12 months in bits and bats, unless uve got free storage for a half stripped car, its just not worth the aggro.

Ive got a standard 8 sat in my yard, i saw a post on a group the other day saying the axles are worth strong (700+) money due to them fitting austin sevens. Not to doubt anyone, but id like to know for sure before i make my standard half a standard haha.
Thanks in advance

did some work on a polo of mine a few years ago, very reasonably priced (replaced wiring from fuse box to light switch and a few others after abit of rubby rubby, sparky sparky, melty) and only charged 60quid inc a new switch.

For anyone that read, turns out the base wire had cracked inside the coating! Whilst it was out to replace a moggy dizzy will drop in using the standards spacer and lock plate!

I ment ive tried both individualy not at once haha, i know the live should go to the oppsite to the cb side in theory! And yea points open and close as they should do, havent had a feeler gauge inthere but theres enough of a gap to at least spark

ive added a power supply to both sides of the coil to see if it encourages anything but nothing, condensor lead and other one are linked in the same way that the moggy distributor is! il whip the unit out on tuesday and physically see if they look the same, a unit i know works perfectly eliminates everything bar coils!

I'm not getting a spark at the points themselves, ive changed coil, replaced that thin wire inside the dizzy because it looked poor, i havent changed condensor cos i didnt have a spare so that shud b nxt on my list if i can find one
