would likely have had a number plate with some jaunty italic font that we could get away with back then cant find any pics but "trailblazers" were popular , it was a reflector kit that replaced the number plate with a large red "xr3i " reflector , you then lashed the number plate onto the lower valance any RGA brand bodykit or replacement grille would have been a desireable item too edit heres a trailblazer

generaly neon stickers that said fido dido or on a mission , neon fake car phone aerials ,garfield cat , lots of speakers and graphic equalizer

think its something like "how to fix and modify bosch k jet injection"
theres nothing to it really , couple of wires to confirm they're good , the rest is all working on pressures , fit the gauge and confirm car does what the book says at certain situations , if it does then its all golden

you mention golfs and corsas etc , have you driven a rwd drive before ? expect a bit of sideways action on wet roundabouts /winter roads vs the modern cars you mentioned

i gave up handing over money to so called specialists that don't want to do anymore than set up the co and idle speed
i bought a book and some pressure gauges and set it up myself , its not witchcraft infact its pretty simple once youve read the book about 10 times lol

ive ran a lhd golf for 15 years , insurance is about the same as rhd and has been cheaper at times
just car parks and be carefull not to get trapped up tight behind a stopped bus or lorry , most cases you can just lean over anyway , and for overtaking you can usualy see down the other side of the car or through its glass
might need to order some of your parts off the internet /special order but thats no biggie
go for it - its no bother at all really

Bortaf I hear you, what is the simplest / cost-effective route to a decent injection setup in that case, I can't seem to find a reliable "how to" thread or article anywhere - I'm a carb man because that's all I've ever known. spend more money trying to make an old engine powerfull and economical and it still wont be as good as a modern engine

stick with the clarke 240v if you want cheap that works , ive heard they're very powerfull
the cheaper battery ones cant really be trusted and you end up having to crack stuff loose with a breaker bar
