Hi,
My 190E runs K-Jet, and I fancy getting it properly set up for better fuel economy and to take away the slight jerkiness when coming off the throttle and when trying to hold a constant speed. Does anyone know of any specialist? Preferably near West Yorkshire but I'd be happy to travel.
Fuel injection is witchcraft to me so I'd rather not touch it myself...

i gave up handing over money to so called specialists that don't want to do anymore than set up the co and idle speed
i bought a book and some pressure gauges and set it up myself , its not witchcraft infact its pretty simple once youve read the book about 10 times lol

sure its fuel? I had a problem with my 190 1.8 arcing at the plug leads missing with constant speed cruising. I replaced nearly every part of the ignition system which cured it. But still some slight sparking at the metal plug boot covers. I ended up removing those too!

I'm pretty sure, the fuelling doesn't feel right. New plugs, leads, rotor arm and dizzy cap haven't made any difference at all  |

could check the spray pattern fairly easily ..might need the inj cleaning /replacing

I'm with steveo3002, I put eight hundred quid into the pockets of two Bosch specialists and didn't get anywhere with a couple of my W124s. There's a really good, much recommended book on it, the name escapes me at the moment, about tuning and diagnosing them and the gear to do it isn't really specialist anymore. If your 190E is a keeper, or you plan to stick with Benzes, teaching yourself how to do it could be a great idea. |

think its something like "how to fix and modify bosch k jet injection"
theres nothing to it really , couple of wires to confirm they're good , the rest is all working on pressures , fit the gauge and confirm car does what the book says at certain situations , if it does then its all golden
