I've been doing boring work on the Jetta for MOT so not allot of fun stuff, I have made the manifold for the new stainless exhaust that I will get done as soon as I have a couple of bits I need and the Jetta is all sorted. I'm happy with the result so far. It shows that taking your time does pay off.

Great car, I'm going to keep an eye on this as it should be the same chassis (more or less) as my B2 Passat and I would not mind looking at all the quattro bits for future reference.

I am just about to finish my hols in Spain and my old schoolmate here has disclosed that he has a Yamaha Jog-R that I can have. Now he has no Spanish log book for it and I was wondering would I get any hassle at the border and is it hard to register it in the UK? I loved these pint sized bikes when I was a kid and adore them now so to get one going in the UK would be amazing. Any info will be greatly appreciated.

you wanna get some axle stands under there...
I like that you ditched the red on the brakes, adds a bit more class. This is a good project.

Ah floorpan fun. Hope you remembered to align the bolt holes from the pan halves to the heater channels...

Right not spot on the retro side but some ties.
After watching F1 and seeing the Senna bit on Top Gear last week It is very obvious that F1 drivers are ever so limited by their cars.
Motor-sport seems to be taking steps backward, big time, no class B, no turbo, engine limiting...
I know that allot is due to safety and the likes but how beautiful would it be to have a RS4 Rally driving? or a 6 wheeled, v12, twin turbo, gear-less, 1500BHP F1 car?

I would say get a big bottle also, It may be more expensive and you can "get away" with the hobby ones but it will limit your improvement drastically. I would bite the bullet and get a bottle. then you will have allot more potential and will learn much quicker.

They will wear depending on the composite you are cutting. Different steel works differently.

I get mine from builder supplies that is a local place but i'm sure most wholesale hardware shops sell em at good price.
I get 25 for 14 quid. Best thing is to check local dealers, also good as they can give you a discount.

Not dead at all.
How many 80's golfs with high powered 20VT ore popping up and doing quick track times?
The world moves on. If people have what is considered a "REAL" hotrod nowadays it would be expensive and invalidate the original concept.
