1985 Honda Civic AG 3G Low Mileage only 4 previous owners
I bought this project with the aim to finish it, MOT it and sell it on but I'm just not finding the time with the season kicking off and a race car to finish before the season starts. The 3G is a rare car to come buy now and with this one having just 36000 miles on the clock and only 4 previous owners its got to be the one to finish and enjoy on the road.
Being a tin top shell its not suffered with the mega rust that many of the get, it does have a minor patch that needs doing on the pas rear sill that would be an easy repair. It has a very clean interior, run and drives just needs a few small jobs to finish it off.
Spec & jobs done:
- Tin Top Shell
- D16 Mk1 Integra Engine
- Running Twin Carbs
- Cheddas Adaptor Plate
- Lowering springs
- Lowered Torsion Bar
- MGZR Front Shocks
- MGZR Front hubs
- MGZR Front Brakes
- 4-2-1 Exhaust Manifold
- Stainless Exhaust system
- Acura Steering Wheel
- Factory Stereo
- 15” Black Wheels
- New Uniroyal Rainsport 5’s
- New Drivers Side Wheel Bearing
- New Discs & Pads (Not Fitted)
- Wheels Freshly Painted
- Cleaned Up Rear Brakes Recently
- Welded Up Crack in Exhaust Manifold
Work required to get it on the road
- Small rust patch on sill
- Fit Discs & Pads
- Fit Manifold to Exhaust Gasket
- Paint roof (currently Silver)
This will be a fantastic retro car for anyone with a little work to get it on the road and MOT’d. If it doesn’t sell as is I will have to find time to finish it and it will end up gong up for £2500 + later in the year. I can arrange delivery no problem if required. But Id prefer someone came to look at it before buying it. More images upon request.
£1650 Ono

I’m lucky to live in West Wales where road rallying is still very popular. I’ve lived on a lane where over the years several rallies have come through, but the last one was non comp past us so we’ve had to walk up the road half a mile to see them in action. As a youngster I would regularly follow the road rallies but it’s less appealing as you get older standing in the cold/rain. I was even a DSO for Kidwelly motor club on its Pinged Hill Rally a few years ago. My brother organised it and I was supposed to be one of the course cars in my Escort, but instead ended up at the end of my lane doing the same as you where a White joined the lane making sure the competitors stopped and holding them back as a time penalty if they didn’t. I'm hoping to move into Wales this year so will be doing alot more of this

So we managed to get one shaft to fit on the drivers side so will only need a custom job on the one side now. Ive had some new parts arrive from RHD Performance in the from of HardRace front upper camber arms to give as much Geo adjustment as possible. And a Bosch 044 fuel pump cobined with OBP swirl pot to prevent any fuel surge. Also got a roll over valve to stop any fuel leaving the tank of the worst happens. I also picked up a set of Team Dynamics 1.2's locally which are on eof the lightest reasonably priced wheels you can buy. They came with Michelin pilot sports which should do for wet weather use.

Our first experience of Road Rallying – Marshalling the Bagger 2020 A couple of weeks ago Nick from Bath MC posted on our members group asking for marshals for the infamous Bagger Road Rally. Intrigued by the road rallying concept Terry and I signed up to see what the score was. We arrived at a pub in the middle of no where at 8pm to be greeted by a car park stuffed full of cars. Mini’s, Subaru’s, Opels all parked up side by side with navigators sat in the cold prepping for the nights event, Ford escorts were the most popular cars by far. We signed on and we were given two give way points to manage during the night. One opening around 11:35pm and the 2nd 25 minutes down the road just after 3am. We were to make sure all cars stopped at the giveaway points, crews issued there cards to us to be signed before they moved on to the next check point. High power headlights filled the night sky as road rally cars found their way through the local B roads in the dead of night. The smell of hot engines, brakes and tyres filled the freezing night air as one by one, sometimes two by two the crews arrived to check in. As they signed off on our check points there were murmurs of challenging conditions with black ice littering the back roads causing several cars to leave the tarmac, some retiring and others managing to carry on with minor damage. This challenging road rally in tough winter conditions had taken its toll on the cars. With around 55 cars passing through GW3, by the time we had closed GW12 only 18 cars had signed off with us, with 70 miles still to go! As you can imagine it’s a long old night as a marshal let alone a crew. Everyone was very friendly and every crew thanked us as we signed them off at each of the give way points. It was a fantastic experience and we both hope to marshal again in the future and possibly compete as well. Needless to say we have been scouring the classifieds for cars already. Thanks to those who organised the Bagger road rally, the time and effort that must go into organising such an event is commendable. We will be back.

Spring Touge in The Valleys – April 25th/26th New Entry (Timed Class A) The Ford entries keep coming in for our first tarmac event of the year. We have never had a Ford Orion at one of our events before let alone a RWD one with 2.1 Pinto power. Kevins unique build should take to the stage nicely.

The wheels from our little fast road Civic 3G project have seen a fresh layer of paint after having some Uniroyal rainsport 5's supplied and fitted by Tech and tyres. We opted for some slightly wider 195/50's compared to the 185's previously fitted just for a bit of extra grip. As the car is being sold as a fast road setup rather than track focused we felt the Rainsports were a great all rounder compared with a set of semi slicks.

Spring Touge in The Valleys – April 25th/26th New Entry (Timed Class B) Richard has entered his 1800cc Mazda MX5 into our first tarmac stage event of 2020. Despite not being the the most powerful 1.8 engine these cars are light and nimble so perfect for the Touge stage.
