I love the lows, not the rims. I'd drive it that low all the time and let the sparks fly as: A, its American so doesn't do corners anyway B, if I can afford the car, I can afford to fix it C, I own a car as low, if not lower and as anyone who runs a properly low car will tell you, you end up spotting the flattest line to drive or using the force! ... at '4 and 20 stone I cant fit in it.. You must look like a pebble only being 4 inches tall!

I've been looking into airing my car for a couple of years now and I'm still going nowhere. No one seems to know what I would need...
Good luck with your want to run air 24v. TBH, its the one part of customisation that is still full of misinformation and shoddy quality.

The OZs are more special, no doubt. Any classic 3 piece wheel looks quality/expensive, and they have the bonus of a changable rim if damaged....but what can you do? swings and roundabouts mr ramirez! For what I use it for (rain/snow/mud/hooning ect) the azev's suit my needs more. Could you not keep the Oz as "Sunday best" with the new dishes you were looking at? That way you can have the best of both.

I like the Azev's and will be a hell of a lot easier to clean, but can't help but think the Oz are more special...

Always been a fan of these and this one looks hard as! Funnily enough, I'm about to matt red my car (vinyl) and I'm still holding my breath as to whether I'm going to like it... Good luck with whatever you decide.

You must have the patience of a saint with all the issues you've had in such a short time. Big respect for keeping on it. Will be keeping a close eye on this car and keep my fingers crossed for you!

Seems like an odd car to give up on because of a head gasket when you consider the amount of money throw at it over the years... Good luck with it, will be a bit of a giggle if you see it through.

GT rear's arn't a bad shout actually, I have been considering some JDM bolt ons in black to go with the matt vinyl. No money for wheels at the moment though... I fitted the Zender front today, which I'm pleased about. Unfortunately it wasn't finished until after it had gone dark, so pictures later.

Never saw the point of the GT aestheticly as, if you wanted that look why not buy a 944? Wouldn't grumble about the engines though (or a GTR). Yes mate, he is indeed a Ridgeback. Are you an owner or know of them then?

Cheers Felix. Undecided whether I should go for a rear or not at the moment. I like the nose down in the air look... but then I do like the look of the 944 rear.

Thanks mate. The old girls getting there, but the paints seen better days. All it needs is a sniff of rain and it goes pink... So this is happening: Blue Peter would be proud! Also this needs fitting in the coming weeks: A genuine Zender copy... Checking out the rake: That'll be 195/55/15 on the front and 215/65/15 on the rear. Lastly, in my previous post I mentioned that I had to make a "dog bed" for my dog Lincoln. He looks pretty pleased with himself, I think you'll agree! P.S; I'm going to be a little more up to date going forward as I undertake the wrap and spoiler fitting.

WIN! Not that I'm biased or anything... Making the 2.0n/a quicker is worth looking at. A chap from the US listed options for them. Enjoy her.

Had a Dansk fitted to my 924S a couple of months ago, great bit of kit and excellent fit and finish. Doesn't sound very different to a stock exhaust though, just a bit deeper.

How the hell did that (pseudo) 500 end up on its roof???
No glass, no skid marks.... It looks as if someone picked it up and placed it on its roof.

Don't jack it in now just because of a few small niggles. You've got the basis for a great car, keep the faith and see it through.
Good luck what ever you decide.

Scratch the above.
Firstly apologies for the lack of pictures (I will rectify in the next few days).
I decided to keep the car, this resulted in some thinking as to how to get a puppy that weighs over 8 stone into the back of a 924. I ended up removing the back seat and making a 2 legged table (Thank you GCSE woodwork), that extended right up to back of the front seats. I then bought a dark brown duvet to act as a dog bed. To stop him flying though the windscreen in the event of having to stand on the brakes, he's hooked up to a harness for dogs.
Also due to a blowing exhaust, I'm now running a Dansk rear box (looks good, sounds meaty without being irritating at motorway speeds).
Pictures to follow... maybe...

Very well done! It's nice to see someone taking on something different for a resto.
There are far to many nice retro's in this city now.
