Thanks. You're right, I've caught everything on this car in the nick of time. I reckon if left untouched for another year or so she would of been in much more trouble. I've still got to finish off the floor, battery tray, both front wings, o/s sill jacking points and maybe o/s front floor, rear panel and a couple of scabs on the rear arches.

Good to hear no Miuras were harmed in the making of this monstrosity.

Thanks for the kind words people. Hopefully this weekend I'm going to sort out the most offending jacking point in order to keep the MOT man happy but more importantly to stop the spread of bran flakes in the sill.

Awesome car mate. I've always had a soft spot for the F2 maxi RS2000. In fact I'd go as far to say I prefer them over an escort cosworth.

Lovely clean car. What is it like sourcing parts? Tom Thanks. Sourcing parts isn't too bad, you can pretty much get all new mechanical components. However finding decent bumpers, trims, body panels and interior trims is getting harder.

I absolutely love the colour! Thanks, I haven't seen another one with the same green on green colour combo.

The door membrane had been damaged at some point so I've used a bin liner for now until I can find a better product. It'll keep the water out and stop rotting the door card.

I feel your pain. I'm in the restoration business and it's shocking there are people out there who 'work' like this!
A couple of years ago I had a Rolls Royce Corniche dropped off at work in bits. The body had been stripped of all its trims and fixings with nothing labelled up. The body was in bare metal with a heavy coat of surface rust all over it and the drivers side had been 'shaped up' to an appalling standard. It had taken the bodyshop 2 years to get it to this level!
Luckily after 9 months of hard graft the old roller came out very good in the end.

Front bumper is a standard S2 RS turbo 90’s spec front bumper with the bottom bar deleted? Mk4 Escort/ Mk2 Orion’s are based on the same platform Escort Cosworth’s were based on the Mk5 Escort/ Mk3 Orion Would look sh!t on my car lol I’m happy with the factory look... all original panels, bumpers etc The car was repainted in 2009 Dunno what colour deviations your seeing? Might look darker in places due to hedges around? You’ve lost me about the Max Power front end? Sorry, excuse my ignorance, we do not get many fords like this where I am from - all I mean is that the car is almost perfect but the front bumper looks like it is off some kit, it does not really fit the car at the lights or the front wings. I think that for such a well sorted car a better bumper must be available. No offense meant. That's how they fit. I've had loads of mk4 escorts over the years and none of them fit particularly well, especially around the headlight area. This is due to the headlight beam pattern, when you adjust the beam pattern the whole headlight moves and therefore one side usually sits different to the other.

Yes I do. In my village there are a lot of classic and odd ball cars including my own. However I won't go into too much detail apart from it's a great little village live in.

Not quite retro and I'm sure they'll get better with age, but I've always quite like the Honda Insight and Renault Avantime. I can't believe I'm admitting this.
