What really annoys me is seeing an advert for a unique, special or rare car and show loads of detailed pictures but none of the engine/bay. But they're happy to take a close up pic of the badge or tyre valve!
Another one that gets me is seeing an advert of a car in its 'hay day' looking well and presentable, after scrolling through usually about 8 pics of pleasantries followed by four more pics in its current state and looking rather sorry for itself.

Always put a barrier (preferably paint) between aluminium and steel panels or grease steel bolts going into aluminium to avoid galvanic corrosion.

This is very true. I use my BMW 520i (e28) everyday to commute to work and back. Apart from some minor wear and tear issues (which will be addressed) it always starts first time and drives great and returns reasonably good mpg. I've covered over 4K since August.

I recently saw an early Porsche 911 on eBay, all the usual waffle 'barn find' 'patina' 'original paint' etc. It was several different shades of beige and the n/s front corner looked like it had been on fire at some point, oh and the door shuts were blue. All original though... honestly.

Captive metal nuts inside plastic housings, especially annoying when used in a corrosive environment so they always break the plastic. I can't remove my headlights now. Mk2 Focus rear bumper springs to mind.

I've just purchased a BMW E28 in very good working order but the one thing that lets in down is its original number plates are cloudy and starting to delaminate.
Is there anyone out there who can replicate the original plates in the old font? I really don't want to fit modern font plates on it.

I'm not going to hold back on this one and it'll ruffle a few feathers! But... I HATE slot mags. They are a truly awful looking wheel that looks curse word on any vehicle. That's it I've said it and got it off my chest and now I'm going into hiding lol.

Electric handbrakes!!!! Why, why do we need this! If you turn the engine off it'll apply the handbrake automatically, which is great fun moving a 'dead' (battery removed) car around the workshop when in for repairs.
Auto wipers, they never work properly and are either all or nothing.
Auto lights, don't always come on in foggy conditions.
In fact I hate any auto 'driver aids'.

Manufacturers marketing efficient models using curse word words like eco-boost, blue motion, econetic, e-tron, blue-efficiency etc. It makes me cringe every time I see them.

Whilst on the subject of cup holders. Alfa Romeo 147 dashboard cup holder (push type) is in the wrong position due to it being right hand drive and therefore too close to the steering wheel. When the cup holder is open and in use you will 9 times out of 10 hit it when placing your left hand back on the steering wheel.

Nissan Almera gti (3 door) when tilt and sliding the drivers seat forward to allow passengers to sit in the back, the drivers seat doesn't go back to the original position and you have to reposition the seat every time you do this.
