The yellow Alfasud belongs to my partners cousin.
Her mother was also a winning rally driver in the 60/70's over there.
It's a odd place for cars, seen all sorts.
Wherabouts where you located?

Looking better, but when i scroll to the top it springs back slightly, the top line (Retro Rides > Retro Car Chat ) gets hidden behind the RR/Login strip.

Other than that, Volvo, Saab, Jag.....
Budget in mind?

My first car (Mk 1 Cavalier) used to eat condensers, 4 in a year. Fortunately I could hear the change in note when cranking, and changing it was a 5 minute job.......

Are you searching for domed head or button head?
Does look an odd thread/key combination though. Could you use a larger hex key size?

I think it was set between the wars? I learned today the story started in the thirties. The stories started in the thirties, but in reality, James Wright didn't qualify till 1939.

What's the plan?

Before bodie and Doyle brought fame to the capri, in the first series BL supplied the cars My favourite of that era was Bodies dolly sprint While Doyle had a tr7 And Cowley had an sd1 3500 Which happened to be the same car as used in the new avengers Number plate was crudely changes to an R reg instead of a P reg, probably with a bit of black tape. Always liked Doyle’s RS2000 that he used before getting a capri to go with Bodies Trouble was, BL couldn't be consistent with which cars got sent for filming aiui, and seemed to try to showcase all the models Ford got the hang of it, hence the Capri getting a weeky advert slot.......

None of those issues are Mondeo specific though, in fact they're the bane of most modern diesels even now. The second clutch rivets failing sounds like either a manufacturing defect or excessive heat through them, and I've never had to use anything other than my eyes to align an MTX75 or an MMT6 gearbox. Well that was my experience. Every rattle and squeak left me thinking 'what's breaking now?' Not what you want on a car you're relying on.

Had the 2.2 TDCi and the biggest car regret of my life. in 18 months/ 40000 miles it had:
Clutch/DMF (£900) Rear caliper siezed (£300) Front Spring (£150) Complete Exhaust (£250) Second Clutch disintegrated as he rivets failed, damaging the gearbox as well (£1200) - apparently you need specialist tools to line the gearbox up putting it back. Don't be tempted by a single mass flywheel on the 2.2 either, you'll chew the gearbox up.
Nice when it worked but lost complete faith in it as a get to work car. Chopped it in for a Volvo S60

Interesting fact about Morses Jag. There was a documentary on last night about the whole Morse/Lewis/Eneavour series. In it Kevin Whately said that Morses jag was actually one that was used in the Sweeney and had been written off by John Thaw. He said it was a wreck with big holes in the floor. IIRC, the Bergerac Triumph was rotten as a pear underneath when it was sold. New owner was not impressed......
