In very poor condition. I believe the adapter is a FORD one as we are pretty sure this was fitted to my brothers 1600E. Approx 11 and half inches wide. The leather will need to be replaced. I am not sure if the knobbly bits will clean up. The metal has no scratches though. Make an offer if you want it. .

I just came across this in my brothers garage It converts the VV carb from an automatic (bimetalic strip) to a manual choke. I fitted one to my Mark 5 back in the 80's and it worked well. condition is 'UNOPENED' however the box has taken quite a lot of damage. Is anyone interested? pm if so. Note applications list on lid...

Model: Fiat Punto Sporting 1.2 16V Year: 1999 (T) Mileage: 62,000 Tax: May 2012 MOT: 26/09/12 Pics: See below Location: Bristol Price: £600 Bought last year to overcome car shortage as the daily had blown a head gasket. Please read last years excellent advert by Bruce for a lot of excellent background info: retrorides.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=bugmot&action=display&thread=101980 Why sell? We needed an automatic small car. After a long search I have found one so the Punto is now surplus to our needs. Since June it has completed the 22 mile round trip every workday with one exception. This was 2 weeks ago when the fuel pump gave up the will to live. Replaced along with some new leads. This has very nearly eliminated the hesitation Bruce mentions. Usual running costs have been minimal with a failed MOT for a 'stuck' shock absorber and a blocked washer jet. All sorted for £30 ;D. Also the exhaust has been replaced along with the wiper motor as both were getting a little too LOUD. Oil and filter were changed last august along with plugs. As you can see It still cleans up well. I have really enjoyed driving the car as it has lots of get up and go and is genuinely fun. However, driven with a light foot it returns good fuel economy. To finish off it needs 4 new tyres for the next MOT in 4 months time. Perhaps an opportunity to put another set of alloys on it. ;D Please come and have a look and a test drive. I live 10 minutes away from the M4/M5 interchange at Almondsbury. (Junction 15/16) Cheers, Ewan

Although not retro enough my, my daily looks well out of place where I work. Carparks like this: 61 plate ford, 60 plate ford, 61 plate ford, 11 plate ford, s reg vectra, 61 plate ford, 61 plate ford etc It doesnt help I park in the middle of the new and recently prepared cars take a pic and post it ;D

Isn't it funny that only a couple of years ago you said something about a modified cars in East Europe and you would rightly envision a Lada Samara with a plywood bodykit and mismatched wheel-trims. A couple of years later and they're suddenly producing some of the coolest cars in the world taking the coolest parts of various international scenes and applying them to their domestic cars, it's fantastic. They have disposable income now

Picture a 47 year old man performing a toddler tantrum wailing 'I want 5 and half grand to spend and I have not got it! '
Everything else pales into insignificance. Yes! even the kittens!!!
