To change my mind. As a general rule I just don't like the de-bumpered look. But as is the retrorides way I'm not going to post a thread whinging about them. Instead I'm challenging the RR massive to show me examples that do look good and maybe you'll change my mind. have a couple of examples that I don't hate This was owned by one of my old house mates at uni and at the time I thought it would look curse word but I will admit it has grown on me. Ready steady go.

The Capri admitidly looks the bees knees although if it where mine I would cut the back of the exhaust so that it followed the curve of the rear valance. Now that Alfa. The bulges in the front valance presumably where the bumpers mount just don't look right. Smooth that front valance and I think it would work

The bodywork is an odd shape behind the bumper on a Scimitar But restyling works Gotta love GRP

Ok you swayed me. Although pretty much every above example I would adjust in some way but hey modifying cars is about stamping abit of yourself onto your car.
Once again RR makes you look at something you previously thought just can't work and turns that idea on its head with super cool examples.

Great thread!! While on the topic of debumpererizing, is the reason I can't find any pics of debumpered MK2 golfs or them with MK1 metal bumpers coz it'd look poo?

Shameless self whoring. Before: After: Granted there is some stance adjustment as well as wheels and arches! But I like it, which is what counts to me It wouldn't look the same with the bumpers on.
