Very nice I was thinking just yesterday about how much I like oak furniture, and how looking at pale yellow pine furniture actually makes me feel ill. An insight into my mind. Pretty cat btw.

I see what you mean about the bosozoku style, but I think that's just an excuse for a slightly ott car . From the back it almost looks Thundersaloon-ish though.

Shouldn't work, but sooooooooo does!
I like the shape rather than the hearsey-ness, like a better looking version of the new Ferrari.

Quick google search for Sierra Thundersaloon Gulf Colours, Reading the name of the builder (on the front splitter) as Kevin Williams gave this lead,

Just clean up the engine and make it nice, there's a fair market for stationary engines.

...ok, it's not that gullwing. And it may well be a repost, but I hope it is new to some folks at least. The Mercedes C111, According to Pistonheads, The C111 test cars that hurtled round the test tracks of Europe in the late sixties and early seventies may have made it look like Mercedes were indulging in some futuristic fantasies of no relavance to the period. In fact they were successfully testing many of the ideas that have since made it into mainstream production. That, and having a lot of fun of course. The first cars were used to test out Mercedes' plans for rotary engines. The company had declared that it would put a rotary engine into production cars. It set its men in white coats the task of developing and proving such an engine. The three-rotor Wankel engine in the first C 111 of 1969 developed 280 hp, giving the car a top speed of 160mph. Using the C 111 prototypes they experimented with the motors and also a number of other innovations. Some of those we benefit from today including suspension configurations allowing wide tyres and plastic bodywork to reduce weight and improve aerodynamic efficiency. Back to the pictures - triple tailpipes ftw! Which eventually gave way to this slippery looking number, the C111 III (with a diesel engine)

Some excellent finds I don't do too bad out of work and friends donating broken electricals and computers. I have boxes and boxes of electronics components and computer parts, and occasionally, I even use some of them! Keep on wombling.

It does have a certain look to it, but I can't understand having pristine expensive wheels on a bashed and rattle canned car??
I kinda like the satin purple, as with the other Civic.

Given how long its been around on the internet, I haven't ever seen any other pictures of it other than those above.... Unfortunately, I can find no pictures of build, but I've found some other pics. Sorry, I know some people don't like BIG pictures - Nice touch with the badge - More pictures here - www.automotorshow.ru/11/64/1.html

Thanks for posting, I haven't seen it before It's one (amazing) thing to shoehorn in a V12, but a modern interior too? Best possible combination, looks, pace, comfort.

That looks like so much fun for such a small amount of money I might even get away with bringing an engine that size in the house for work

That's gonna be one awesome car when done! Are you planning on keeping it original looking?
Also, is that a fibreglass bulkhead? Does it come with any kind of heat/noise/fire protection?

If he airbrushes on a rear door shut line, he might get away without BIVA I guess he's planning on blowing that RS2000 engine? 150 brake doesn't seem to match the rest of the car... RS200 drivetrain and engine are longitudinally (<- passed spell check!) mounted, as you can just about make out here -

Reminder well considered. I think some airbags are mechanically triggered, where a weight moves to strike a cap and set off the bang. Just looked for some diagram to back me up, but can't find one Anyway, glad no one was hurt. Some more airbagged rides-
