you can use your film camera for this still, it will be cheaper and more than likely give you better results due to being film.
for what its worth though, hdr is rather gimmicky and 90% of the time looks dreadful. you could sell it to people who are not into photography as it stands out and looks impressive but does tire quickly.
i wouldnt invest in it personally. just use the gear you have already.
all you need is a tripod or something to sit your camera on, like a wall

i am also quite interested to go to north korea having seen footage and documentaries on it lately.
one thing that struck me though, when i was in china in 1994, i was only about 10, we were taken on a tour around a city and only now have i realised what was going on. it was A LOT like all the weird stuff that "tourists" to north korea get taken to, we went to a school, a done out but empty restaurant and hotel and some other other odd things, no cars around, just bikes and we were chaperoned everywhere. this was only for one day out from hong kong. it was bonkers though in retrospect

how hard can these be to fix tho :S surely there like the most simpilist things about to fix, how many acctually made it down to brighton? pretty much all of them, over the tannoy they said something like 430 were at the start and 418 had been accounted for by about 5pm. so i guess a few more were still making it down.

youll also need some foot retention.
and if you have any inclines or kids within 50feet of you - you will need a brake.

oh right sorry, yeah thought that was a bit odd as they don't tend to go that way.
if thats the case then you can get spacers for the sprocket to push it out a little and spacers for the wheel but you will most likely need to redish it for the rim to align properly in the frame.
it would be worth getting a new chainset, you can mess around with spacing the front sprocket atleast

2 things i can see you can do for the chain alignment.
if its fixed wheel and not freewheel, flip the sprocket around the other way so that the lip is on the outside that will bring the sprocket in a bit and put a washer or 2 between the crank and the BB - that will push the crank out.
failing that redish the wheel to suit

took these today, at the brighton zombie walk. i used a cheap medium format film camera and put 35mm film in which i redscaled, which is pulling the film out then rewinding back into the film canister backwards to get the redness, and did loads of multiple exposures. Quite happy with how it turned out - looks kind of texas chainsaw/messy which is what i hoped for. If you want some vintagey looking photos, grab yourself a camera such as the retinette which is nicely demonstrated by our man in Thanet with the bikes, some cheap film such as Kodak color plus 200 (you can get it from poundland!) or some other film similar in price (preferably expired) and go for it. take it to be processed, ask for development and to be scanned on to a cd in high resolution. it will give you good digital scans from the negs which wont look rubbish and they will look like they were taken 30 years ago. pretty simple. I'm running a gallery on retro film photography right now, if youre in Brighton over october come check it out!

ive had that, pull the forks apart. or if theres any big bolts or spacers etc take them out and replace with something slimmer.
few of my bikes have had slim forks for the wheels they came with originally. doesnt cause any problems, just bend them open and try slot the wheels in at the same time. can hurt your fingers a bit though...

hopefully this all ends in a decent bike!
to get that stem out, i would put a pole down the forks and try hammering the bejesus out of it. that usually works. failing that drill it out, it will defo go that way!
have you tried filling it with vinegar? that melts corrosion pretty well ive found with crusty bike parts. brake fluid is also another good one

wire wool, the stuff with the soap in that you use to clean pots and pans with. use it wet and that will take that rust off no trouble, and bring it up to a good polished shine!
seriously it will be easy and look like new. go for it!

hey thanks for the comments!
interesting about the seat post i didnt know you could tell that way.
i have a 531c orbit frame ready for a more modern fixie curse word style build - it has the same diameter seat post so i guess thats a good indication.
the forks were painted when i got the bike i just chipped off the paint. but going on the polishing it looks like the forks were half chromed and the top lugs where also chromed, the top half of the legs were originally painted.

soooo, after reading many a bike thread on here, there was mention of asking for a "junk bike" on freecycle and that its a good way of finding a half decent bike. so i asked and this turned up pretty ropey, it was rusty, had been what look liked white when new, then bare metaled, hand painted in burgundy and rust had broken through. twas caked in dirt and old oil, good bits taken off and cheap but new condition parts put on. thankfully the guy kept the old bits. so a bit of digging turns out its a peugeot py10 (maybe) thats the closest i can find. 531 frame, super light cranks, mafac brakes, possibly mavic rims, kyokuto pedals and no braze ons. i may be wrong and would like to know more if anyone knows anything of it. so a month of stripping it down, cleaning out the bearings and greasing it all up, having a job of getting the crappy mountain bike cranks off, redishing the rear wheel, mirror polishing all the alu and general waiting for odd bits to turn up and leaving the frame rusty and grubby, ive ended up with this. all the original bits except for the brooks saddle, brake cable and single speed cog, finished this evening! rides rather well although the gearing doesnt make for much speed, so might have to do something about that let me know what you think ;D
